Unfortunately, we only had one evening and the next morning to spend in town. However, during that time, we were able to walk the main street of eclectic stores, visit Lover's Leap, enjoy a dinner on the riverboat cruise, visit the light house and experience Mark Twain Cave. We will be back with our children next time to enjoy much of the same and hopefully a whole lot more.

I was in town for work and did not have any time to check out the town. From what little I saw, there are many old historic looking buildings and lots of tourist type things to see. I think it would be a good weekend getaway for the wife and I.

Very interesting!! At first I wasn't sure......lots of rundown homes in the area but typical of river town......lots of history.......we stayed near main street area and enjoyed coffee shop Java Jives and Becky Thatcher diner for breakfast......modern up to date movie theater very close and museum all right there......plenty of cute shops and ice cream!!
free ice cream and coffee at general store.....my husband loved that.....cave was close by and well kept and neat to tour....scenic views of river at park and scenic drive.......lighthouse.......had nice visits with a couple storeowners.....relaxing.......we were off seasons for boat cruise.....that would be fun too

If you love Mark Twain (who doesn't?)
If you love Mark Twain (who doesn't?) then Hannibal will be a treat. If you don't, well, I'm sure there are other interesting things to do in other places. But all Twain lovers will be enthralled by how well the Clemons, Hawkins (Becky Thatcher) and Blankenship (Huck Finn) homes are preserved. The Twain museum is also first rate and the gift shop has great souvenirs. The setting on the Mississippi is beautiful and helps you appreciate what inspired Twain's many books and stories about it. Highly recommended for all Twain fans!

Hannibal is an awesome location for anyone to enjoy who loves history. It is a family friendly destination with plenty to do for people of all ages. Prices for attractions are reasonable. Very friendly shop owners and tour guides. You really cannot go wrong with a visit to Hannibal. The only note of caution is for older people who have a hard time with mobility. Some of the attractions such as the Mark Twain Cave and Cardiff Hill would be difficult to enjoy. However, the historic homes, museum and shops are easily accessible.

The town is adorable!
The town is adorable! We had coffee in the mornings at Java Jive which is a must do, most of the locals seem to come through in the mornings and it’s a great people watching place. We went to Finn’s and listened to great music, chatted with locals and had a beer - it was super fun. We went to Ayer’s Pottery and bought some beautiful pieces and had them ship them home to us. The owner has been honing his craft for 50 years and he’s incredible. He also took time to share places to go. The light house with its 244 steps is a great little work out in the mornings.
Location was good. Hotel room was not super clean, our A/C unit wasn't working right and the room wouldn't stay cool, owner was rude and refused to give us another room or discount our 2 night stay and breakfast was a bottle of water and a nutrigrain bar. Horrible experience and need to send letters to the City of Hannibal and Wyndham franchise.
From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcome. The hotel owner was exceptionally nice and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The facility was very clean and well maintained. I don’t have a single complaint or negative comment about the Hannibal, Mo Super 8 and would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling in the area!!
Breakfast was excellent as usual. Chris is a marvelous host. The b and b is one block from an excellent restaurant called LaBinnah Bistro, which has never disappointed me. I always stay at the Garden House and eat at LaBinnah Bistro on my trips through Hannibal.
We stayed for one night on a longer road trip. The room was large and comfortable but quite dated and there was a good bit of evidence of wear and tear on the furniture. The location was convenient to drive into Hannibal which is a beautiful town.
Sarah made us feel especially welcome and was very helpful. She and the staff work very hard to maintain this very large property. Loved the waffles- the fluffiest ever. This was a good home base for our visit to Hannibal.
We stay here every time we're in town for family get togethers. The staff has come to know us and they have become good friends. It's not a Luxury hotel but it's clean comfortable and friendly
