We booked day passes for Great Wolf Lodge and stayed at Fairfield Inn and Suits. It was close to many different food options, shopping and gas stations. Also, nearby was a Sam's Club, Burlington, and Five Below, just to name a few.

We were a large group a families (10 rooms) in TC for a youth sports tournament in mid-February and Sugar Beach was perfect for our needs:
- Indoor pool is a good size, and they had plenty of towels
- Younger siblings liked the small arcade
- Small fridge in room was helpful
- Nice breakfast options... like the hotel, not super fancy... but good variety of options and good quality
- Morning run on the beach was great... quiet stretch of the beach
- Dairy Queen across the street was handy... and in the summer, proximity to Pirate's Cove (large large mini golf and other activities in warmer weather) across the street would be great.
- The staff was amazing... very helpful and patient with our young families. Paris in particular was AWESOME to work with... thanks so much Paris!
To be clear, like nearly all the hotels up in TC and especially those on the beach -- it is an older hotel and not high end luxury or anything... but for being directly on the beach and for other considerations listed above we highly recommend it.

Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay.
Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay. They have lots of lovely restaurants. My favorite breakfast spot is The Cottage and we’ve enjoyed dinner at Poppycocks, Sorellina, and Harrington’s. However, we always have a hard time finding late night food. The Traverse City Comedy Club was fun and the shows are inexpensive. I find it to be a very relaxing trip and we will definitely go back.

I was there because my father was in the hospital. While he was having surgery or sleeping I went around the town… so many cool bar, restaurants, cool coffee bars, shopping… we are going back in the summer for a get away weekend! I loved it!

Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town.
Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town. There are many great places to eat (our favorite was Mama Lu's, and we enjoyed 'date night' Wednesday at Poppycock's). There are many great shops along Front Street and plentiful parking. In addition, there are parks and lighthouses in the vicinity for variety. We traveled to TC during the winter holidays, but would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the hiking trails and to thoroughly enjoy the beachers and water. People were very friendly. TC is on the expensive side, but nothing too much more expensive than any other little town or resort site in Michigan. There is a lot of focus on drinking (wineries, breweries), but there is so much more to do than that. If you do drink, however, you would find doing a winery tour a lot of fun.

Traverse City offers many wonderful views, restaurants and shops. I think it offers something for everyone. The view over the bay changes every season so it is worth extra visits to take advantage of the lovely scenery.
The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and professional. We arrived early and they let us use the pool, hot tub and the full beachfront, while preparing our room and getting us in early. Hands down the nicest hotel/resort that we’ve stayed at. Fair and reasonably priced. Will DEFINITELY recommend and stay at again if I’m the area! Also close to everything without being in the busyness of the downtown area.
Right on the beach. The staff worked all day to keep the grounds clean. They were super friendly. Prices when booking through Booking.com were better than other hotels on the water in Traverse. Always hot coffee and if my kids were here, they would have loved the warm chocolate chip cookies every evening. They literally made like 60-80 cookies every evening.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Traverse City with my partner for a sports tournament, and we had a comfortable experience. The hotel offers free parking and the check-in and check-out process was nice and efficient. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, the room was clean, which made our stay very pleasant.
Nicely updated older hotel. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. As it was limited to individually wrapped items (due to COVID-19 pandemic), we did not try the breakfast. Hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive into downtown Traverse City. Great value and priced much lower than comparible accomodations. Would definitely stay at Seasons Inn again.
It is a value hotel. Very clean and the front desk clerk was nice. Breakfast is very minimal. I generally grab a bagel and fruit for later but really only had cereal and very small muffins, coffee and juice. The location is great. We didn’t use the pool and jacuzzi this time but that is fine, too.
Room and beds were comfortable and clean. Property was an easy, quick drive to downtown areas and there is food shopping nearby and a nice locally owned restaurant next door. Staff was friendly and helpful and I would stay again if ever back in town.
Location on the lake with private beach, superb. Balcony superb.
Accommodation on the higher end compared to other resorts in the area.
Plenty of parking.
Camp fire and hotel offers stuff for s'mores free of charge.
We have stayed in Traverse City many times but this was our first to visit this hotel. We already decided we would be back based upon the location (close to downtown and wineries), cleanliness and beach access alone!
It was a room near downtown. There weren’t many rooms available for the dates due to the ongoing cherry festival. Staff was very friendly and very interested in feedback to improve service in the future.
This resort provides a very reliable, safe, and pleasant place to stay when I arrive in Traverse City. I have been coming to the Bayshore Resort for several years.
Didn’t come to this hotel for the beach being it was early April, Should have done better research on “Breakfast” Continental in a box not real appealing.
Everything was good, the hotel was new so everything was in great condition. The staff were lovely. I also love the bathroom "not soap, radio" products!
