What breakfast no one was ever there. No checkin staff no manager. No one to answer questions.

The hotel felt very much like Maine. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants.
We were there during a snowstorm and the staff was very considerate and brushed off all the cars in the parking lot. Very thoughtful staff.

It was quiet compared to Bar Harbor and very peaceful.
It was quiet compared to Bar Harbor and very peaceful. There were many shops and a few restaurants. The marina was lovely. Bar Harbor and Acadia were just minutes away. I would stay in Northeast Harbor again.

Beautiful area with easy access to the park, carriage roads and hiking trails. 20 mins to Bar Harbor, 20 mins to SW Harbor and Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Sweet little village, walking distance from hotel, with groceries, eateries and shops.

Northeast Harbor is a quaint village with nice shops and a few restaurants. The harbor is active with many pleasure boats and commercial fishing/lobstering boats. A quiet and restful place compared to the business of Bar Harbor.

This is a beautiful and quiet community.
This is a beautiful and quiet community. Pretty shops and within walking distance to beautiful Asticou Azalea Gardens. We took a great boat tour out of Bass Harbor, drove the stunning Sargent Drive along Somes Sound, and visited several areas of Acadia NP. We appreciated the peaceful ambience of the area.

This is a tiny town on the opposite side of Acadia from Bar Harbor. We did still travel to Bar Harbor for most meals, it was only about 20 mins away and we didn’t mind at all. But if you want to be in the bustle of the action then NE harbor wouldn’t be a good fit.

The room on the first floor with direct access to the lawn, pool, etc was very nice. We really enjoyed the comfort of the front porch for a nighttime drink and the possibilty to sleep with the terrace doors open rather than with the ac on. The proximity to Acadia NP combined with the quietness of Northeast Harbor is probably unmatched. We were also very happy the restaurant at the resort.
Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Excellent value, very convenient location (free island exporter bus to bar harbor and Acadia park right across the street, ferry to cranberry islands right across the street), very clean and freshly updated rooms, nice restaurant next door and a clean pool! Very impressed by this family owned property!
1. History of the Inn
2. Location - proximity to Thuya Gardens and Northeast Harbor
3. Harbor View
4. Continental breakfast was excellent.
5. Landscaping quite lovely
6. Courtesy and demeanor of other guests was very pleasant. Everyone was happy to be there and smiling.
7. King bed and pillow were both very comfortable.
The Colonels Suites rooms we had were clean, spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We visited Northeast Harbor off season, so most eateries were closed. But, the Pine Tree Market met our need for fresh fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, drinks, etc. and we loved being near to Asticou Garden and the pretty harbor.
Though the location would be great for some , I was there to attend classes at COA in Bar Harbor. Though only a 20 minute drive, doing it 2x per day exhausting. Next time I will shop earlier and find a location closer to the college. For those wanting to experience Acadia, it's great location right on the harbor.
My mother left some personal information and the cleaning staff returned it to us. It was very much appreciated and it's nice to know there are still honest people around. Also, the location was excellent! We loved being close to Barb Harbor but not in the middle of it. This was a quiet neighborhood.
