There's not a lot to do in Shreveport in mid-March except gamble in the casinos and eat at some good restaurants. They do have some nice parks, an aquarium, and the SciPort science museum with an IMAX theater.

We got to the hotel at 1130. The bank approved the reservation, but thought the charge out of state, because it bills as Dallas/Shreveport, was fraudulent. By time we got that taken care of it was past 2am. We hotel hopped for a week between Wingate and comped rooms at El Dorado, now Bally's casino. Great facilities and staff. Would of liked to get a weekly rate, but we didn't prepare well.

I liked my view from the window and that the bathroom had a separate walk in shower and a huge garden tub. But we could’ve used more covers and a softer mattress with less noise from the neighbors slamming their doors and I wish that some of the rooms offered microwaves in them so I didn’t have to go downstairs and hand my food to a stranger to warm it.

Shreveport was less than impressive.
Shreveport was less than impressive. Dirty and not very family oriented. I am sure the people that live there know the better places to go and things to do other than casinos but they really fall short on informing visitors.

Enjoyed the visit, but they need to work on getting retail stores in the boardwalk river front. About 85% empty since the panicdemic and not returned. We ate at the Saltgrass and it was very good with friendly staff. Also there are no buffets at any of the casinos, but the restaurant is very good and affordable. Still plenty of sportsbars and clubs trying to come back for nightlife entertainment. If you like antique or thrift stores, there are plenty within 5-10 miles from casinos. Be sure to use your GPS and there won't be a problem getting around town.
So sad, it has great tourist potential for revenue and tax base.
Oh yeah, beware of the $15 a day resort fees, not sure how they justify them. Didn't receive anything special from regular hotels that you have to pay or feel obligated to tip.

I love everything about my city !!!
I love everything about my city !!! My city has shopping, gambling, sights and so much more. Monkhouse Seafood, Nicky's Mexican restaurant and Chili's are my favorite spots. When here visit Pierre Bossier Mall and Mall St. Vincent, excellent shopping centers.
The ONLY thing that was positive about the motel was the location. I'm not sure if I'll ever stay at a Hilton hotel again after this experience. The light bulbs were out of 2 of the 3 lamps and the room looked like it hadn't been touched in a long time. The bathroom was absolutely nasty - a huge wad of black hair was in the shower and the shower was dirty. Was not able to use it during my stay.
I'm now convinced that it is the front desk staff that keeps customers returning to this property. After I initially bragged on this mom & pop hotel, they have gotten worse each time. The thing I like about this property is the staff meaning front desk clerks.
Location. Value. Surprisingly quiet and clean. Was initially concerned with the cost savings compared to the other hotels in close proximity to this one, but this definitely met my needs for the week.
It was clean. The front desk staff was wonderful!! They helped with issue of no soap in our bath shower. Container was empty. The breakfast was perfect. Best continental breakfast I’ve had at a hotel.
Power outage at this facility, never stayed overnight and credit card charges 3x plus gave my room away while room key still in my possession, went to the room and someone was walking out
The hotel rooms were very nice. The bathroom had a walking shower and a hot tub. The pillows and mattress were very comfortable. I would moat definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great room and beds perfect for family group breakfast was excellent great location - had a great nights sleep and a hearty breakfast before hitting the road.
First night I had no A/C.
I also booked a suit at a Homewood Hilton in Shreveport. But at this hotel, I paid the same expensive price for a regular room.
Location is middle of shreveport, close to everything. Bed was ok for a motel. Water was fairly hot in shower. AC and heat (used both) worked good enough.
