Close to downtown, shopping and restaurants to include the famous Madonna Inn. We were there to visit our student at CalPoly. Great amenities for our family. Always nice to have extra space in our room with the living room/dining area.

Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes.
Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes. Easy to get around. I loved how unique all the different buildings and houses were. Food was only decent, but not terrible. Good breweries, too! Very walkable. The highlight was going to the hot spring resort for their hour-use tubs.

Beautiful place to visit.
Beautiful place to visit. University town with a lovely walkable downtown. Lots of restaurants. Many people biking. Close to Pismo and Avila Beach, Morro Bay (and Rock) and the gorgeous central coast.Always love coming to SLO but it can be very pricey. This was a quick family visit so didn’t eat out much. Always find time for a latte at Scout coffee. If you are on a budget, check out hotel prices in advance prior to choosing dates. Inexpensive places jump to over $200 per night during certain weekends.

We went for an early morning run up the convenient bike path into SLO. We had a great tour of the city on foot and visited the El Camino Real sites and the Mission. We ran back through the hills and had a great view of the surrounding areas. Worth returning to visit. High up on the historic trail.

San Luis Obispo is my favorite city in all of California.
San Luis Obispo is my favorite city in all of California. It is an idyllic town with lots of unique coffee places and restaurants. It has a great Farmer's Market. The best feature is that you do not need a car. Everything is walking distance.

Our stay was fine, but this place has no value for money. The rooms are tiny and extremely hot, the cost for the room for one night was $295 Australian which is huge for the tiny room and mediocre facilities. A 4 star hotel in Melbourne would be a similar price with a lot more on offer.. I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay, not worth the money at all.
Very good in keeping clean for Covid19 concerns. The room was very nice for a short stay. It was a older hotel, but had character that did not show from the outside, which looked old. The price everywhere always seems high for a short night stay, but perfectly fair. Nice location as the room came within walking distance for the downtown area.
I love kitsch, so this was a perfect fit! Elegant campiness!! The staff is courteous. Great gift shop. Pool area is so relaxing with a beautiful view. We stayed in Gypsy Rock and Swiss Rock. Gypsy Rock has a waterfall shower that made me feel like I was in Hawaii! White tablecloth dining with dancing. Oh, and the best cake ever! I’m obsessed!
I like the central location of this hotel. It is located a few miles away from downtown San Luis Obispo, the area's wine country, and nearby cities like Pismo Beach and Avila Beach. The hotel is located near stores, supermarkets, and gas stations. The surrounding area looks safe. The staff is courteous and helpful.
very clean. all staff very friendly especially Karina! she made us feel very welcome. beds comfy. would stop here again. been traveling in California for nearly 3 weeks, this has been one of the best hotels we have stopped at.
A beautiful hotel that was really lovely and so comfy to stay in. Good location, ideal for seeing San Luis Obispo especially on a Thursday evening when the food market was on. We really enjoyed our stay.
It is a cheap hotel. We just wanted to spend one evening downtown, which was really close by foot. For that it was perfect. The rest was really just basic but ok for one night. It was clean and tidey.
Spacious and clean room
Nice and helpful receptionist
Practical location for people who don’t have time to get in the center of SLO
Cheaper than other hotels in the area
Something a little different on our West Coast road trip. A quirky, individual hotel that has to be experienced to be understood. Food, service, pool all excellent
