The breakfast bar is excellent with many selections! The ladies who care for it keep it clean and organized very well. The room was clean and neat. The bathroom was clean and neat as well as all the plumbing worked well. It has been a consistently great place to stay for those reasons and because it is close to our family in La Mesa.

THEY NEED TO PUT MICROWAVES IN THE ROOMS.

THEY NEED TO PUT MICROWAVES IN THE ROOMS. ALSO WHEN I CHECKED IN ON THE MAY 10,2023 THEY FAILED TO TELL ME THAT YOU CAN ONLY STAY 14 DAYS. BUT I RESERVED THE ROOM AGAIN FOR 3 DAYS AND THAT'S WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE LENGTHS OF TIME YOU COULD STAT THERE. BY THAT TIME I HAD BEEN THERE16 DAYS. SO I WAS PAYING FOR THE 3 DAYS RESERVATION WITH MY BANK CARD IT CAME BACK DECLINED,SO I WAS ALLOWED TO PAY FOR ONE MORE DAY WITH CASH AND TOLD I HAD TO CHECK OUT THE NEXT MORNING. HERITAGE HAS MY MONEY PENDING AND I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO WAIT 31 DAYS+1 BEFORE I GET IT BACK. THE MERCHANT SENT PAPERWORK SAYING PAYMENT FAILED AND THEY WEREN'T TAKING IT. BUT STILL I HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT BACK YET. HERITAGE INN IS WORSE THAN JANKY PROMOTERS.I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO MY WORST ENEMY.

We were there during a heat wave, so were very uncomfortable . Did not go many places other than to see the family we came to visit. Not having access to a cool shower after a very hot day was miserable. We ate at Gus’s Deli several times and very much enjoyed the food. Getting around La Mesa is easy, however, we are familiar with the area. We would avoid staying at this Holiday Inn.

A pretty soulless place and not worth the stay for pure tourism. I guess if you are visiting the Uni there is a reason to stay. Best bit was getting the trolley into downtown San Diego ($5 return) and reasonable proximity to places like Julian. Won’t rush back.

Looked for a place near where I would be meeting friends and chose this. Had a little bit of everything. The hotel is immediately off an exit of Hwy 8 going East. Do not blink or you will pass it. Signage is hidden behind lots of greenery. Going West it is immediately at the off ramp and hard to miss. The architecture has a Southern flair, with outdoor corridors. The reception area is unappealing (the plastic shield did not help) and not welcoming. Luckily, I was met by Michael. He was friendly and professional. The other clerk checked me in and took a long time despite having my paperwork on the desk. My room on the second floor spacious. The bed was comfortable. It was strange that the only lamp in the room was on the desk and not near the bed. Several of the electrical outlets did not work. The bathroom sink needs some TLC. The shower was large, and the water flow was warm and steady. Although near the freeway, the room was very quiet. The pool area was nice, but the hot tub was not available. Housekeeping did not service my room after the first night and Michael offered to exchange fresh linen if I wanted. After the second night they did a very nice job of servicing the room. The location was very convenient for fast food, El Torito and the downtown of La Mesa. Parking was always available despite the hotel appearing to be near capacity. Carol was cordial at checkout.

The house is a charming old San Diego Spanish style home. The wall to wall windows open up to a patio that overlooks the city. You can see the bay in the distance and the city lights at night. We loved the beautiful outside gardens. The house fit our family of 10 comfortably. The furnishings are last century, which added to its uniqueness. It seems like the bathrooms have been updated. I have bad knees but was able to access the upper levels easily because of the gentle slope of the stairs.

The hotel did not allow us to check in saying there is no booking. We were surprised that even though having the reservation, how can they say there is no reservation. We have realised there were couple of big sports events and because of that hotel has cancelled all third party reservations. Can you please check with the hotel and validate this information? At the same time, please refund the process.

Located in a quiet residential area, easy access to local businesses and freeways. Teresa, the host, came out to greet me when I arrived and ensured a smooth access, much nicer than being in a hotel. I was only there for one night and would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities covered microwave, coffee maker and a mini fridge. A very pleasant stay.

This was an extremely comfortable stay. The location is a bit east of central San Diego, but worth the drive! It's a very safe, quiet and pivate unit where you can park very close to the entrance to transfer your luggage. I would highly recommend this stay if you have a chance to visit SanDiego!

We were very happy with this rental. The house was spacious and clean. The location was great. Only a 15-20 minute ride to San Diego and a little farther to the beaches. It was close to shopping. The host was great and available to listen to any concerns we had.

Great location, great breakfast. First morning bunch of people crashed the breakfast that weren't actually staying at the hotel. No food left - not really the hotels fault. Second morning was perfect!
