This hotel is a special part of The Desert and Indian Wells history, while enjoying this property created by Desi & Lucy Arnaz.
Lovely property. Well located, easy access from within the Valley, with parking for our visitors. Can entertain friends in the bar/restaurant with an excellent light menu and always great entertainment. The big hotels are too much work with too many people. Excellent choices here nearby for dining and shopping. Vicky's great food and atmosphere next door.
Some reviews complain about the parking & resort fees. All fees totaled are still less than generic chain hotels in the same class. Or you can pay 2X to 3X at the Hyatt or Esmerelda, which of course accommodate different needs. IW Resort is a special gem until some generic chain acquires and ruins it. Charming rooms, lovely hotel. Excellent staff and management.
This hotel is located in one of the highest median income affluent neighborhoods in the Desert.

Everything takes longer to get to than anticipated due to traffic lights and slow drivers.
Apparently - Thursday nights in Palm Springs has a big carnival and streets are shut down. Parking is impossible. Avoid the area unless you are walking in.
Avoid the Nest - very expensive for diner-type food. They cater to those drinking in the bar more than restaurant. We were asked to move tables mid-meal to accommodate a party of 8 from bar.
LG Steakhouse is a must! Great service and food!

Lovely area.
Lovely area. We were there following the National Football Champiinship in LA, drove down to watch a collegiate round robin tennis tournament. The Tennis facility is ++ and The Sands was so convenient to it. Go Dawgs!

Indian Wells is a very small. but very wealthy bedroom community, sandwiched between Palm Desert and La quinta. The biggest attraction is the Tennis Gardens that host a national major tennis tournament every spring.

Hotel management and security needs to be educated better. Put guests at risk
Absolutely so dissatisfied, with the hotel managers handled this situation and our rooms should of been pro rated or refunded.

This was the worst pale the room was closed the exit and the st and I asked for a quiet room, did they not understand what a quiet room is, it was downstairs also. I never stayed downstairs because the people upstairs are loud, they said they did not have any more rooms, that's not true I was there and they were two people checking in, wont stay here ever!!
Crappy,
, only two Keri podafor a3 night stayfortwo people: so ridiculous all the apps that need to be downloaded. The booking was through booking.com. Then I received messages from turn Key and red awning. So basically, three emails/apps. Very very confusing. I would not recommend this at all. I feel insulted that I paid so much for this. I have been to this area multiple times for the Indian Wells tennis and this is the worst value I’ve ever had. I will definitely use the facilities I had on prior visits.
With the exception of its location, my experience has been subpar. I paid $500 per night for a room that overlooked a construction site, featured an overcrowded pool, and offered just one hot tub. The quality of the food is unsatisfactory, and the sole redeeming aspect appears to be the presence of Starbucks. I would rate this establishment as a 1-star hotel, and I must admit that I feel I may have overpaid given that the quality does not align with the price point.
Overall the service was very good . One room service meal some food we ordered was missing and there wasn't enough silverware /napkins as requested for the number of people ordering. But for the most part the food was very good at Cava and through room service. The rooms were very clean & nice views . I only wish we would've had some furniture (chairs) on balcony to sit out. I had a massage at hotel Spa which was also very nice.
Quiet, lovely property, we stay here often. It has the ambiance of The Desert in the height of the 70s with golf and entertainment legends. Excellent dining and live entertainment. Magnificent views. Excellent management, services, housekeeping, maintenance.
Indian Wells has great dining, is beautifully landscaped. Tennis, golf, hike, run, walk, bicycle, shopping, all nearby. Great mountain views.
This is a well appointed hotel with a lovely pool and gardens, very picturesque. The staff are very attentive with pool side service and a nice restuarent attached which served very good food and cocktails. There is also a hot spa pool best for the cooler evenings. Free parking was a bonus. Lovely, quiet and relaxing. We will be back.
Friendly, accommodating staff; large rooms; great pool; continental breakfast has good selection, optional premium breakfasts available at extra cost; classic golf course on pre plus right across the street from Indian Wells Golf Resort; pictures of Lucy and Desi and co. are quirky and fun
It's Iconic Palm Desert. Intimate, not one of those huge, sprawling "big box" hotels. Lots of details went into the room. A full top-shelf bar armoire with all the accessories needed! You can tell Kelly Wearstler, put her design touch into the room. Love the Waterworks fixtures!
The hotel is nice, the staff was very nice and welcoming. The check in process was very fast and was even able to check in earlier than expected. The pool area is amazing, the movie in the pool area was great and relaxing. The staff at the pool was very friendly and attending.
Very nice and super comfy room. Pool was great but didn’t get why they reserve a bunch of seats for VIP - nobody ever occupied them. Great gym! Overall a very nice stay, though overall the hotel is quite expensive. Staff is really nice and attentive.
The hotel was beautiful and clean and the hotel in itself has great decors and aesthetics. The valet staff were very nice. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job.
Breakfast OK - would be good to have better variety of fruit, prepared and chopped up. Hotel lobby and pool were good. Enjoyed my stay here - very comfortable hotel.
I was fortunate enough to get a ground floor with small patio. I requested this before my arrival and the hotel staff accommodated my request. thank you!
