We visit there at least once a year around our anniversary or birthday's. It's a beautiful town and we love the people that live there. We always eat at Sow's Ear and also go wine tasting at near by Paseo Robles. This town never disappoints.

Cumbria is old, sort of worn out, However everything is overpriced. Few hotels offer any type of breakfast other then room coffee machine.
Nice for a day tip. Not worth staying over for high prices of rooms and restraints.

Cambria is a cute town.
Cambria is a cute town. We thought it was just a drive thru street. But the town is larger than what you see. We walked the town and shopped. Several wine tasting shops and antique stores. We were in town for the Cambria Christmas Market, what an adventure. I am so glad we went and recommend to anybody who is in the area at Christmas time. Affordable. Shuttle pickup makes this adventure an easy leisurely stroll. We also went to the 2 cemeteries in town. The town cemetery is old and pleasingly decorated by the families.

Quaint coastal town.
Quaint coastal town. Pleasant views from the boardwalk and clothing short drives to other destinations whether on coastal 1 or headed inland to wineries or pumpkin or lavender farms. 2 to 3 days is plenty of time to take in the surrounding sites and enjoy the rest and relaxation as we deploy from the hustle and bustle of SoCals rat race

I booked here for a surprise anniversary trip for my wife and I. We had never been to Cambria before, so I had no idea about anything to do or places to go. After I booked the room I called the lodge to ask a few questions about this, they were very helpful in giving me suggestions for things to do and places to eat, etc. They also went out of their way to make sure I got a room with a great view and also arranged for a bottle of wine and roses to be in the room when we checked in as a surprise for my wife! The lodge was very tranquil and relaxing, providing for a much needed 'unplug' for a couple days. The room was huge and very clean. Definitely looking forward to figuring out another time to visit Cambria and this lodge!
Amazing dog friendly hotel with great perks like the wine tasting and “light fare” (savory tarte, fish tacos, burger, poke bowl, etc) on their patio overlooking the ocean. All the food I ordered was great, all the staff was helpful and very friendly to my pup. The location is beautiful. The room (two doubles) was huge. Able to set up my pups crate and a pen with room to spare.
The Castle Inn is a pleasant midcentury 2-story motel. Our 2nd floor ocean-view room (#18) didn’t face the sea head-on but at an angle, so it did have an ocean view, just not head-on as you might expect The location is great, right on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast offered was coffee/tea, apples and cellophane-wrapped muffins.
This quaint B&B was in central Cambria. A short stroll to restaurants and shops. The rooms were well equipped and the ensuite was across the hallway. Breakfast was included which was freshly prepared and tasty. Each evening there was a complimentary Happy hour with wine, dip and biscuits. They catered for gluten free too.
Loved our stay and woukd do so again.
It was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful furniture. Absolutely beautiful unique stay. Wonderful rocking chairs on the deck. Fantastic breakfast. Just unique and our very best stay in California..We wil remember the Squibb House for years to come. Great socialable breakfast in superb dining room
This hotel is extremely well maintained and our room felt fresh, airy, and well-appointed. We had a partial view of the ocean and were only steps away from the beach. We were within walking distance from two beach restaurants and very close to the shops in Cambria. A great experience.
Staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, first hotel on the loop. The rooms were booked with empty rooms on both sides, obviously not possible when busy but nice for quietness this stay. Nice upstairs deck overlooking the beach.
We loved the historic nature of the house. While maintaining the history it was filled with modern touches. We’ve stayed many times over at Moon Stone Beach hotels, but this was by far our favorite guest experience in Cambria. We can’t wait to go back.
This property is a gem for older travelers looking for a better-quality room among less well-appointed accommodations along Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria. Their breakfast included a delicious breakfast burrito option and was delivered to the room.
Loved that the room had a balcony that overlooked the babbling creek. The room was newly renovated and felt very fresh and clean. The location was good. Could easily walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Cambria.
Convenient to the Castle, the villages, access to Moonstone Beach walk, dining & shopping. Beautiful view of the ocean. Always clean, comfortable beds; appears room decor to have been recently updated.
The location was good, at the end of Moonstone Beach. The outdoor fire pits were nice. The town of Cambria which was a short drive away was lovely and this is a great location for Hearst Castle.
We have been to Cambria many times and the hotel is in an excellent location, Room was what we expected. It will be nice once housekeeping duties start again
I loved everything about our stay at Cambria Landing Inn and Suites. David was great and went above and beyond. We will definitely be staying there again!!!
We really like the location of the hotel. It is within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Cambria. Quiet at night, and friendly staff.
