The nice saltpans with a small museum in the middle, both sides of the bay, have hotels for budget guests or one that required a little higher standards. There are many marked paths to hike around or just plain walk. Strunjan bay is not a village but it lies between Izola and Piran. At the beginning of the bay, there is a bus station and mini market and at the end, there are many restaurants and a beach with some trees and grass to give shadow and a place to rest. In nice weather, you will really enjoy it.

Strunjan is one of my favorit sea shore in any season.
Strunjan is one of my favorit sea shore in any season. Picturesque, green and reach meditteranian vegetation, fish and mushels, local vines and olive oil. Town of Piran and Izola are just a walk far. Plenty of local Inn with good food.FrancSlovenia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Strunjan coast is good for relax and Strunjan cliffs give marvelous view to Piran, sea and slowenian-italian coast. During warm days you can relax at sea coast cca 200 metres from hotel. Strunjan itself is not so much interesting but you can make trips by bus or by your own car to near Piran (very recommended!), Koper (nice historical center), Portorož, or to other places in Slowenia, Italy and Croatina.

The hostess, Elena, received us very friendly and hospitably, they provided us with additional children's bed, it is possible to visit the swimming pool on the territory of the Salinera hotel. If you are looking for peace and enjoyment of nature, then the apartments "Villa Yadranka" are for you.🙂

Clean, rooms just big enough for two (I was traveling with my mother). We had twin beds. Beautiful view of the bay, salt pans and hills of Strunjan. Fine breakfast - they alternate fried and scrambled eggs and have sparkling wine. Lots of fruit and vegetables. Parking convenient at the hotel or in the garage. A few steps to the sea, you can alternate beaches. Piran 10 minutes by car. Great holiday!

There are covered as well as uncovered free parking spots (the barrier is opened with the room card). It offers a wide-ranging garden with access to the sea. Even though it looks a bit dated, everything was working (except the WiFi) and the room was very clean. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary and they even cooked us a whole vegan meal!

Also on beach you can find excellent restaurant, great food.
