Amazing place and amazing owners!! You can hear the waves while you sleep. Located right in the middle of Mompiche. The owner was extremely accommodating, helpful and made you feel very welcome. He helped me with everything from surfboard rental to bus schedules to and from Mompiche. Only place I’ve been to in Ecuador with a mosquito net around the bed which I appreciate. Can’t beat the price and I’ll definitely be staying here again when I come back to surf the point 🤙

There's a friendly member of staff onsite too if you have any issues or questions. Most of the budget rentals in Mompiche are constructed from bamboo but Ocean Surf is solidly constructed, so this is definitely the best choice if you are a light sleeper; you won't be kept awake by the music, dogs and cockerels! I have already made plans to return.

The room was big and there would have been space for two more people. The outdoor area of the hostel was lovely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. We liked a lot that the hostel had some environmentally friendly rules for instance avoid using plastics or at least to separate waste. It was nice that breakfast was offered.
