This is a beautiful historic seaside town, with so much to do and see, with wonderful seafood restaurants serving fresh fish caught each day from the local fisherman. I would say it is very charming and romantic rather than touristy. Beaches were amazing and the harbour lovely. I would advise to try to book a room with balcony overlooking the harbour if you can. We were lucky enough to do this and it was wonderful. The streets in the old town are cobbled so make sure to wear sensible walking shoes!

Sozopol is a lovely and quaint old town, with beautiful views, reasonable prices and tasty local food. Local artisans are still available - for paintings, jewelry or other objects. It has nice beaches and offers a good alternative for spending a seaside holiday, as compared to the other Bulgarian seaside resorts - we prefer it.

Sozopol genuinely has something for everyone - great beaches, great places to eat and drink, a delightful old town, history a-plenty, but also nightlife of all kinds if that's your thing. Every year when we discuss where to stay on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, wherever else we visit, we always end up spending at least a few days in Sozopol.

Sozopol is a former fishermen village and they kept the architecture. The old town is wonderful to walk in, lots of places to eat well, lots of buildings to admire. Don't miss out the local Museums. Sozopol has 2 major nice beaches, but don't be shy, go also along the rocks, you will like the small areas there flooded with wild sea life. If you are lucky, you may be fortunate to see the local shows held in the Amphitheatre. You will find a lot of small art galleries, and hand made things and really cool street food.

Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much.
Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much. Most restaurants are too expensive and not on quality you expect. Beaches are not good so you must travel to have a great day on the beach. Definitely go to Sozopolo when Apolonia is there. Parking is close to impossible.

Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Tons of giftshops, some with actually handmade art and souvenirs.
Old Town is amazing, lots of live music.
Do be prepared to spend a lot of money though, like a lot of tourist destinations the prices are on the higher end.
Very beautiful hotel, the location is very good - close to beaches (5 min) and walking distance (20 min) to the Sozopol Old Town. The room was clean, spacious, mediteranean vibe and had a sea view. The breakfast was delicious and you could have it by the pool. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience, would recommend this hotel if you come to Sozopol.
Beautiful boutique family run hotel with friendly staff. The perfect base for exploring and a 10 min walk to Kavatsite beach. We had a car but one evening we walked into Sozopol old town (it was a pleasant walk and took about 45 mins). We got a taxi back. Lovely pool and relaxation area. Room was great, quiet, comfy bed and large balcony. Loved it!
This is the first time for us to book All inclusive vacations in Bulgaria. My expectations were below average. For my surprise hotel Selena Beach turned to be an excellent place to stay. Extremely nice and helpful staff, clean rooms, pools and dining facilities. The food was good and diverse. Definitely a place to stay, recommend and return.
The hotel is a bit withdrawn from the hectic life, but within a short walking distance to the beach and on our 4th floor, which we had rented all three rooms and therefore had to ourselves, we had a fantastic view of almost the whole of Sozopol! We received very friendly service and can only say good things and we know we will come again!
This is the best place to stay in Sozopol, especially the balconies facing the bay from the bedroom and the main street from the living room. Everything is close: grocery stores, restaurants, bakery, pizza, bus station, theatre, the beach, everything you may think of.
The hotel was more attractive in the photos. The location was in the new part of Sozopol, there are no buses. There are beaches near the hotel, even a nudist beach)) 20 min. wolk from the hotel to the Old Town. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean. Thank you.
Perfect Hotel... Kind and always responsive staff. The beach is great and right in front of the hotel. First line. Recommended for young people (close to central entertainment) and older people (the beach is close to them and they don't have to walk far)
The location is the best feature. It is only a few steps from the beach. It was clean, renovated, good beds, good bathroom and nice common places. There is a nice parking near the hotel. There is a nice common terrace which looks good, we didn't use it.
It is a nice cozy family hotel with excellent location - 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the Old Town.
There is a pool and a playground.
The rooms are clean and spacious.
It's an excellent choice for families with little kids.
The hotel is located on a cliff above the sea. It's also very close to the center of the town and to the old town of Sozopol. View is nice as well and the size of the rooms is spacious. Breakfast was simple with little options but was good.
Very nice hotel just a short walk from the beach. The rooms are really nice and we got a free upgrade. Very smiley receptionist made us feel welcome and provided good restaurant recommandations.
Definetly a nice place on sozopol.
The apartment is located near one of the best beaches in Bulgaria Kavatsi. The apartment is clean and cozy. It has everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. The owners are kind and responsive.I recommend this place.
The hotel is close to the beach and the central shopping area of the New Town of Sozopol, the room was spacy and clean. The hosts were polite and the receptionist offered us a free beach umbrella. We would visit again!
The best place to stay in the old town of Sozopol. I highly recommend it and I will definitely come back.
Polite staff. Amazing view. Delicious breakfast!
In my opinion it deserves a much higher rating on Booking.com
Beatufil place, beaches, pools... we loved the hotel room and all the equipment. The breakfast offer was great, too. We walked to the old town for dinners for about 15-20 minutes.
Best resort for cost in Bulgaria by far. Big property, good food, great location in secluded bay but close enough to Sozopol if you want to go into town by taxi (5 km away).
Nice and clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach. Parking is good, there were always spaces available(we used the car constantly to go to Sozopol etc).
The hotel is beautiful with an amazing view. The pool area is very nice as well. Nice location close to the beach and not too far from the city center.
