The coast from Igalo to the ferry at Kamenari is served by Blue Bus
Route 1 - but only in one direction; return is by a different route. The
are free public conveniences - adjacent to a public park.
Route 1 does not serve the bus station but Route 2 does. The town is
renown for its steps but I found the route between the main square
and the bus station less challenging than central routes in other towns.
An advantage is that the main streets flow with the contours and are
gentle when moving between them.
Towns do not excite me and I did not explore in any depth but I sense
that this town has resisted the onslaught of homogeneity and that it
has managed to survive economically. I even saw one building with a
"Red Star" flag from the former Yugoslavia.

You have to be fit fo you to visit all the city (a lot of steps). The food was amazing, sometimes it’s cheaper to go to a restaurant than to cook yourself at home.
No matter which side of Herceg Novi you are, you have splendid views. If you like to go hiking you can do that too, and when you get to the top you get mesmerised.

Herceg Novi is great if you don't want something extreme tourist like Kotor. The long walking boulevard along the seaside offers many bars, restaurants and beaches. You'll find a wide range of accommodations from fancy hotels to hostels and many vacation flats. I had a nice dinner twice at Yacht Club Restaurant along the boulevard. Top service, reasonable prices and a beautiful view. Keep in mind though that most of the city is built uphill so plenty of climbing to do.

The town is beautiful and the landscape is more beautiful.
The town is beautiful and the landscape is more beautiful. The bay of Kotor is very imposing. Budva is like Amerika when somebody like this it must not fly a lot. The transport is horrible but I know between the mountain is impossible to build highways.

Wonderful beaches. not too busy.
Wonderful beaches. not too busy. The sea water is slightly cool, wonderful for hot August days. Lots of restaurants at reasonable prices.
Traveling by bus is comfortable and very cheap. 1 euro, but sometimes very crowded, especially in the evening.

We visited the old town and drank a very good traditional coffee. A very nice city with many restaurants, a central park and a multitude of shops for all tastes. I recommend you to visit the city in the morning, if you are in the summer season, because the temperatures are lower.
The interior of the hotel is highly distinctive.
The rooms provide a beautiful view of Bay of Kotor, and cleanliness is added value. Towels and bedsheets smells so good, wonderful aromas👌
The service is outstanding; they assisted us with beach and restaurants reservations.
So responsive and cordial in communication. The manager, Luka, was very polite and expedite. He helped us to make all the reservations.
Breakfast was delicious and the dining area is very uniquely designed.
Wonderful experience 👏
We loved everything about this accommodation and the hosts are the warmest and most hospitable people one can imagine. Clean, bright and well equipped apartment. Garden with pergola and sitting area has great views and amazing quietness, despite being just a few minutes away from Herceg Novi center and the main road to the ferry. We also recommend the breakfast, there's plenty of choice and it keeps you going for hours to explore the area and its wonderful people. We can't wait to come back!
The position of the hotel is very nice, green hill behind and a blue sea in front.
Beautiful view from the room.
Check in and check out went smoothly, a young lady who checked me in, Tea, I believe was very polite, the exemple how a receptionist in a good hotel should be.
There is a good variety of food but sometimes it s better to limit the choice and improve the quality.
In general I m satisfied with my stay at Iberostar Herceg Novi and can recommand it to my friends and collegues.
By far superb 1st class service, location, views, food & staff. This hotel is in a excellent location along the bay’s waterside promenade (plenty of shops & food/drink) & they’ll happily cater to your specific needs, they set my room up with beautiful roses along with my note to my lady. I will definitely be returning & referring everyone I know to this wonderful establishment in beautiful Montenegro.
We had a great stay at the apartment. It is very close to the promenade and the beach where you can find great restaurants and bars.
Apartment is clean and has everything you will need for a short or longer stay.
We are in Herceg Novi multiple times a year but so far this was the best location in the city.
Parking is a few stairs up but with the new parking from the city there is plenty of space.
The place is run by a friendly family. I was able to speak a little Russian which helped for communication. My room was clean, had enough space and I've got crockery and a small fridge for myself.
The old Town takes a little while by walking, but there are also busses going through Herceg Novi: http://www.blueline-mne.com/index.php/gradski-prevoz/gradski-prevoz-herceg-novi
I enjoyed my stay there.
This property is pretty amazing. It’s in Igalo but super close to Herceg Novi and everything it has to offer. An amazing apartment that has everything you need, and even more than I expected
The host was one of the most laid back hosts ever. She waited for me longer than the usual checkin time and was pretty cool about that. Also, had a couple of “little things” that meant a lot to me
The place was nice, nicely furnished with the great view of the sea. It was spacious enough for the 4 of us. The balcony was great and very cosy. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and the owner Dejana left us also some coffee, wine, juice and some basic cooking stuff.
Dejana also gave us all the information for a pleasant stay in Herceg Novi.
We had a good time 🙂
Villa has perfect location - 5 min walk from seaside, very good restaurants and center, but still isolated enough to allow for peace when you need it.
The accomodation was very comfortable and it allowed our group of 10 to really enjoy our time in Herceg Novi.
Host was very accomodating to our needs, full of understanding and patience. The stay was really perfect in all aspects.
Room was really generous size, very clean and they were generous with topping up towels and supplies. Pool was really lovely and the spa facilities were excellent. Loved the mineral pool and salt lamp wall. I had a great massage which was good value for money. Staff were really friendly. Overall it was a great hotel and I would go again. I would say its nearer 5 stars than 4.
I would definitely stay here again! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well situated near the old town. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering to drive us to and from the bus station, and storing our luggage when we’d checked out. It was fantastic value for money and I would recommend this apartment to anyone planning on staying in Herceg Novi.
A very professional and welcoming staff. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious, modern but cozy at the same time. Had a room with a balcony and the view was breathtaking. I have to say the breakfast was just amazing as far as variety, selection and quality. One of the best that we ve had, seriously.
Very good communication from Doris. She showed us everything and left us a few snacks in the room. The apartment has a great view of the water. It's a bit of a hike to the more touristy part of Herceg Novi, which was a plus for us (and everywhere in Herceg Novi is a bit of a hike, it's a town of stairs)
Location is great three minutes from Old Town, bad is comfortable. Private parking is a big thing in Herceg Novi.Kitchen is well equiped so it's bathroom but shower cabin should be fixed as it has small leakage. Read what i didn't like but i would recommend this place for most travellers.
Staff and location. As our first visit to Montenegro we stayed away from brand hotels and stayed local. Great choice. the owner was brilliant, from making sure we had parking on arrival to breakfast in the garden with fantastic views of the bay.
Great walk on the prom into the town.
The hotel is located away from the center of Herceg Novi, so water is comparatively clean there. We really liked the food and the evening entertainment, particularly, live music was excellent.
The room itself was spacious, very clean and with a large balcony. For our one night stay in Herceg Novi it was an ideal base. Approx 15 min walk into the old town.
Beautifully and stylish decorated place located in quiet area between Igalo and Herceg Novi. Hospitality and communication of the host is very appreciated.
