By the Persian Gulf, Sharjah is the capital of the emirate of the same name – the only one in the UAE to have a coastline on 2 gulfs.
Although not as internationally famous as its neighbor Dubai, Sharjah still has an exciting mix of old and new. The skyline is a backdrop of skyscrapers and many modern public buildings were designed by the ruling sheikh.
In sharp contrast is the Sharjah Heritage Area, the city’s oldest part. Here historic houses line pedestrian streets featuring some of the best museums, including the excellent Islamic Museum. On its northern edge is 19th-century Al Hisn Fort, an Arabic-style building once home to the ruling family.
Shopping in Sharjah is as big as in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Its shopping centers include Ansar Mall and Mega Mall, while a more traditional experience can be found in Souk al-Arsah and the Blue Souk, so called because of its blue tiles and roof. Across the park is King Faisal Mosque, a gift from the Saudi king.

Я бывал в Шарждже много раз по-работе 20 лет тому назад - с тех пор ничего не изменилось... Всё тот же грязный промышленный район с таким же убогим сервисом... If you want to go on vacation, then Sharjah is absolutely not the place where you can relax in comfort and see something interesting. I visited Sharjah many times for work 20 years ago - nothing has changed since then... Still the same dirty industrial area with the same poor service...

The staff are professional and to the point.
The staff are professional and to the point. You get the exact answer to a question and this always makes them serve you faster. I was happy with the room and the service and the location, it is also very convenient for all your needs like supermarkets, food stores, mosque etc. The car park too is very user friendly and accessible directly to the hotel lift. The only issue was that on my second day I found that many cars had been parked without any sequence and quite a few cars were blocked by cars parked across. I think there are many who are not guest in the hotel who also park because there is no security person at the gate and it opens for any car that comes in front of it. Sharjah is similar and at the same time very different compared to Dubai. It is exceptionally green for the area and there are lots of wild cats - I like cats :). Like in all the emirates, there are beaches nearby, you have great weather and of course it's an Islamic country. You have as well the shopping possibilities in the traditional Souks and the modern malls. Unlike in Dubai, you literally cannot buy alcohol anywhere, which from time to time can be nice as well.Sherman SiegeLuxembourg

Also they were very kind to help and delaying our checkout for 3 hours free of charge. Big thank you the ladies. I liked the quietness in the hotel and the staff politeness. The hotel have big parking space. And shops are nearby.

The hotel is spread out over several historic houses, courtyards and alleys, interspersed with mature trees and plants. It's a relief if you are tired of the high-rise accommodation of Dubai. Lovely spa and great massage therapist (Moji from Kerala). The best however is the lovely little pool managed by Sam - a true ambassador for the hotel who goes out of his way to make you comfortable. In sum, this hotel does many things just right!
