We traveled from Japan but breakfast were well served and as competitive as fancy hotels in south american areas. Also, laundry service was quite good and we could make cloths that are full of salt clean

Simple but great hotel. We were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness. It is in the city center and staff is helpful. They allowed us to store our luggage during the day while we went to the Salar and prepared some coffee for us, even though we had to leave early and missed breakfast.

The location was good and the looks and feels of the hotel was homey and very rustic, which we loved. Some of the staff was friendly, but the younger crowd was not. The rooms itself was big, and comfortable for a family of four. The breakfast was decent and had a few options to choose from.

Fly to El Alto International Airport, La Paz, then take a domestic flight to Joya Andina Airport, Uyuni (1 hour). Alternatively, from La Paz, take a bus (10-12 hours) or train from Oruro (7 hours). Transfers required for bus and train options.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is El Alto International Airport in La Paz. It's the highest international airport and approximately 730km from Uyuni, offering numerous connecting flights.

Salar is just an amazing place, a wonder the Word!
Salar is just an amazing place, a wonder the Word! Both when dry, as well as when flooded.
Uyuni town very ugly, avoid it is possible, full of dirty roads and dirt in the air, if you are sensitive or allergic, do not go downtown and stay in one of the 3 nicests salt hotels in the Salar outside town.
Best restaurant in town is Tika, in the hotel Jardin of Uyuni (nice hotel too)

No matter what season (dry or wet)you go to Uyuni, you will see amazing views. But I recommend dry season since you will have chance to see both wet area and “beautiful” dry area. And for the starlight tour, you’ll see beautiful stars without clouds!

Uyuni came at the end of our San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni...
Uyuni came at the end of our San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni private tour (3 days-2 nights) that was exceptional, so not much left to see around the small city except the people and plazas, although the small museum on the army base was very interesting and informative, as recommended by Chris. We stayed three nights and found the hotel clean and very well located to walk around.
The restaurant, and more specifically Chris, was outstanding catering breakfast on a jazzy note and offering delicious pizzas by evening.
Our room didn't have natural light nor a view, nor a closet, hooks nor hangers which made things a little complicated in our case, since we had some heavy luggage. Everybody at the hotel was most helpful and I would definitly recommend staying there.

Uyuni Salt Flats has been on our bucket list for years and we were super excited to visit. It exceeded our expectations and will return soon. It is easy to get around the town. If you want to explore the salt flats and the Andes it's best to hire a tour guide. We had the best 7 days in and around Uyuni. We dined at Tika, Tacuru, and local vendors. The food was delicious and filling. Our favorite places were the salt flats and exploring the Andes.

Small derelict little town which wouldn’t be as busy if it wasn’t for the world famous salt flats. However, there are many restaurants and bars to accommodate tourists as well as a bus terminal and an airport. A must if you’re in South America.
The linens and towels were superb for a smaller hotel in a modest size city.
The managers and staff are proficient and very friendly.
Chris is a restauranteur originally from Boston but has lived in Uyuni for decades. He runs a great small restaurant in the hotel, with fresh baked goods, pizzas, other hot dishes for dinner. There is a wonderful breakfast spread, included with the room, with fruit & yogurt, tropical fruits, muesli & other cereals, eggs, fresh juices and more.
Would gladly stay again!
Very friendly and very helpful staff. We got there about 6:30am, no room was available yet as checkout is 11:30am but they gave us a small room to lie down/rest while waiting for our room to be ready.
The room we got was very spacious and clean. Hotel location was about 5min walk from the Clock Tower. Lots of places to eat near the hotel. Breakfast had more variety compared to hotels stayed in other Bolivian cities during the trip.
Everything. Price to quality ratio is very high. It was so clean and comfortable. Compared with some of the hotels on offer in Uyuni, this is practically a 5-star hotel!
The room was absolutely huge. It's on a quiet street, there was no traffic noise despite having the room at the front
Nice mantelpiece made of salt blocks in the room.
Good breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly and use a translator app as they don't speak English.
Stayed 1 night solo after a 3 day tour of the salt flats. The owners were very nice and welcoming. They also arranged for a taxi to come pick me up the next morning to go to airport. As the taxi pickup was early and before breakfast hours, they arranged some snacks and coffee before i left! The room was good with a large comfortable bed, I slept very well!
Clean, good Wi-Fi and hot water.
I highly recommend staying here!
We really enjoyed our stay!! It is a very personal hotel, Cesare does literally everything to make you feel at home. He is one of the most generous and sympathetic people we have met. The rooms are super clean, the beds are really comfortable, the shower has hot water and is not electrical (which is an exception in Uyuni) and the breakfast is really good. Without a doubt we would book here again if we are in Uyuni!
We are travelling Bolivia and stayed here for a few day before the salt flats! we also came back for a night after our tour. We had a room with a shared bathroom and the facilities are 10/10 with amazing staff. The breakfast was also amazing and personalised to you. You had a choice of porridge oats, yoghurt, sandwiches and fruits.
Would definitely recommend!
The hotel is very nice and comfortable, with floor heating and a good shower. It’s a great place to stay after a Sud Lipez / Uyuni tour. It’s well located near restaurants and cafes. There’s a laundry service which isn’t particularly cheap but they got us our clothes cleaned and dried on the same day.
Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff. They can get an English speaking person to help you. Hotel is flexible to help with your needs. Warm rooms, hot water in the bathroom. Rooms and common areas are decorated with good classic taste, joy for you eyes the art of Bolivia.
- heating worked well (it smells a little bit like gas in the room though)
- hot water in the shower, they also provide soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels
- for Bolivian standards the breakfast was quite rich (eggs, variety of fruits, juices, breads and cereal)
Very nice and tidy, rooms were clean and beds super comfortable. There's also lockers inside the rooms to keep belongings safe (bring your own locks). Breakfast was really really good, I'd recommend everyone visiting Uyuni to give this place a try.
The location was good. The staff was nice and it was possible to check in already at 9 am. The breakfast was quite good for the price and it was also possible to buy breakfast the morning I arrived for 25 bolivianos.
this is probably the best accomodation in Latin America. They gave everything including toilet paper, soap and shampoo which is impossible in bolivia. the hot water was nice and it’s 5bs away from centre.
The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast spread was great with a nice variety of offerings as well as fresh-made eggs, the internet worked great, AND there was hot water.
A great idea in theory, but unfortunately in reality its not so nice. Given the historical importance of railways in Bolivia, this should be a great place. The bed is comfortable.
Lovely hotel in Uyuni. Walking distance to lots of cafes and restaurants. The hosts were so friendly and went out of their way to help us. Breakfast was basic but very lovely.
Excellent breakfast - maybe the best we had in Bolivia, Pizza in the evening was also very good. Staff are very friendly and the hotel felt warm, clean and secure.
