    I’ve lived here for five years, for undergrad studies at the University of São Paulo. The city has changed a lot since that time, it is now more vibrant, USP campi is much larger, two different locations. Lots of young people living around the original campus, lots of restaurants as well. I am returning to visit fellow students each year, love São Carlos ❤️.

    There is a Golf Course and it is worth to go and play, even by driving all the way from Sao Paulo. There are a few good restaurants of different kinds of food in town and a good one at the golf course. Marklin Suites Hotel is great, has the right price and offers a very comfortable stay overnight, not much more, but it is just what you need on a trip which is done for play golf…

    São Carlos is a great city.

    São Carlos is a great city. Modern, full of students and young people. It has tons of bars and restaurants to enjoy. Other cultural events include musical concerts and theater. Weather is great and although it has many up hills, it is great for walking.

    São Carlos is a very good countryside city in Brazilian...

    São Carlos is a very good countryside city in Brazilian standards. It is not a touristic place, rather an Academic one because of the two major universities. There are some historical farms to visit, excellent restaurants, the best burger I have ever had (Hamburgueria São Carlos) and a fairly active cultural life (again, for Brazilian standards). Best food in town is at Chez Marcel, but be aware they don't take cards. Also, if you have time and disposition, you'll find amazing bike tracks and small waterfalls in the outskirts and nearby towns.
