It was our first time un Medellín 3 nights-4 days weren't enough. Beautiful city, nice people, it is simply amazing the change they went through from the 80's to now. Three infallible on the list of places to visit: Plaza Botero, pueblito paisa and Comuna 13.

Medellin is a great place and one of my favorite places in Colombia. People are very friendly and helpful. Walking round seeing restaurants and bars is always a good sign. They have Uber and when it was a bit further of a walk, I just jumped in one. Lots of things to do. Comuna13 is a must!! Criminal Tacos is amazing places to get some food and BBC Bedega70 sells amazing beers in pint glasses. Sounds trivial but getting a good pint is normally tough.

We are in our 60's and spent 1 week in Medellin.
We are in our 60's and spent 1 week in Medellin. We wanted to practice our Spanish. Intentionally didn't take day trips outside the city. Plenty to do in the city. Way preferred Laureles to El Poblado. Loved the walking tour with Real City(guide Julie was EXCELENTE). Enjoyed the Museo Casa de La Memoria(though most exhibits were in Spanish which became too laborious). Did a walking Zippy tour of Communa 13 which was also very good. Delicious Banh mi at District 1 in Laureles, and GREAT lunch at Hacienda in the city centro. We really enjoyed our stay. Very proud and warm people, the Paisas are, and learning about the history of their city was super interesting to us.

We came to Medellin as the beginning of a month-long exploration of Colombia. A one week Spanish language course was an excellent start, with classes in the morning, and wandering this amazing city, sometimes on organized tours, in the afternoon. We ended up meeting a lovely couple who were official guides, but only spoke Spanish. They provided us with a great tour of El Centro one day, and one for Comuna 13 another day. The food in this city is varied, plentiful, inexpensive compared to other big cities, and excellent! The Metro is unbelievably clean, and felt very safe. Our hotel was well-located, and our room facing onto a patio was nice and quiet, protected from the noise of the Poblado nightlife.
Worst hotel ever. This is not a 5 star hotel, it is a 2-3 star hotel. I have traveller around the world and around Colombia but I have never seen such a hotel, claiming to be 5 star. the rooms are very basic, the breakfast is the same as in a 2 star motel, the noise from the hotel’s own disco is awful; the staff is rude and do not care about the people staying at the hotel! stay away from this hotel unless you are 18 years old and want to party all night. The price is for a 5 star, but the service is that of a 2 star. worst hotel in Colombia
Beautiful very unique hotel. It was clean and in an excellent location. The rooms are very comfortable and very cute with everything you need. The bed and the pillows were fabulous. they had the best mini bar and snack bar inside the room that I have ever seen in Colombia. there are restaurants and nightclubs and parks and the SmartFit gym and bars and everything you would ever want within a five or 10 minute walk and there are countless restaurants literally across the street up and down the street. I loved everything about this place.
Boutique hotel in the calm part of Poblado (in terms of foot and vehicular traffic) with spacious and well-appointed rooms, plus a balcony. I liked that they had separate dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body gel. It was also a pleasant surprise to have a/c in the room, which is not a guarantee with hotels/hostels in Medellin. If you're a small eater, the filling breakfast that is included in the price will last you until dinner. The staff were friendly.
The hosts were amazing! The rooms are well clean, the bed is so comfortable, and the decorations are unique with a lot of Colombian handicrafts. Close to the metro's station by 3 minutes walking, and also to Provenza, parque lleras, Manila by 8-12 minutes on taxi. My husband and I love there. The photos are real (looks better in person than in photos), regretted not being booked for a longer stay in Medellin. Highly recommend it!
Very pretty place and super friendly, helpful staff. I initially booked this guest house, I arrived in the early afternoon and heard construction sounds near my room. When I asked for a quieter room they offered to relocate to the nearby luum boutique hotel. It was equally nice, friendly and comfortable, and much quieter. Slept very well and one of the best arepas con huevos I had in Colombia :)
Serrania hostel is the best hostel where you could stay to discover Medellín. You will feel home from moment 0. Diana and Erwin are two amazing people that can teach a lot about the city and Colombia to travelers. The food they serve is also delicious. Plus, the location is perfect if you want to discover the city.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Sites Hotel, the room was spacious and clean, the bed a bit too soft for us, the nightly view from the balcony just great. The cleaning and restaurant staff was very nice and the service at breakfast was the best we experienced on our 2 months Colombia trip so far.
Disappointed very simple NOT RECOMMEND
Colombia is a major exporter for Coffee, and they do not serve that at this Hotel
had to go to another place to take a breakfast.
Ps. Thought Genius level 2/3 had some benefits ...!!! DIDN'T GOT NONETHELESS nor a breakfast !!
best staff in Colombia. they can help about everything you need. the hotel is in a good place. so close to park and heart of poblado. rooms are very clean. they have a huge common area and kitchen. breakfast was very good for Colombian standards.
This hotel was incredible value for money. Very smart, comfortable, in a lovely area in walking distance of many restaurants. Lovely staff. Honestly it’s the best place I’ve stayed on my low budget in Colombia and cannot recommend it enough
The location is great - easy walk to other Poblado destinations. Like most places we experienced in Colombia, the staff were amazing and worked very hard to please their guests. The rooftop bar had awesome views. Breakfast was great.
The hotel was magnificent. Very sleek, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was delicious and we enjoyed the way we were served. It was a mix of American and Colombian breakfast options, which I enjoyed.
This was the best hostel/hotel/airbnb I've stayed at in colombia. Such friendly staff and guests! Such a great vibe! Such a great and safe location! Would give this place more than a 10 rating if I could.
Veeery nice hostel, so far our favorite in Colombia! Rooftop is excellent, included breakfast one of the best hotel breakfast. Great location, nice common areas. Nice rooms and very quite at night!
I liked the location of the hotel and the staff friendliness and kindness. Hotel was clean and comfy, and they serve a typical colombian breakfast everyday.
