An outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, Vancouver is sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain is a favourite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.
Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch ‘n’ putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home ground of the city’s football and American football teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.
With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.
We could go on and on about British Columbia’s largest city and never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodation, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near each of its ferry ports.

Vancouver is good and bad just like any other big city and you just need to be smart about your choices. I used to live here and come quite frequently from Vancouver Island by ferry to go to concerts or other events ..There is always something happening and lots to do . Things are not inexpensive like accommodations , food , shopping etc... but you can do free stuff if you look for it.

Okay, not really relevant for this trip.
Okay, not really relevant for this trip. We are from Vancouver. We came over from Vancouver Island for medical reasons, so it was a busy visit for us. We will be back later in the year, and we will get back at ya.
Vancouver has been my husband's home for 69 years, mine for 40. We love Vancouver. So many things to do, to see, to watch, to appreciate. Sure, every city has its issues, but Vancouver is in our blood. I recommend Vancouver to all my friends, family and people I meet in our travels. You can't go wrong, any time of year.

We were totally amazed at how clean and well planed out the city is. Of course every city has areas you should avoid do your homework and you will feel safe where ever you go. We had a wonderful time lots of free sights to see and do if you research the city before u go. Steam clock , Gas town , Stanley park to name a few. Taxi we surprisingly affordable we also tried out the city bus lots of fun ! When u tap your card you are able to get on and off the bus without having to pay again within a certain amount of time. We also enjoyed the Berka Bakery on Davie street amazing for Breakfast or lunch.Very affordable. Enjoy your trip we certainly did.!

We go every year for the Rugby 7's tournament.
We go every year for the Rugby 7's tournament. It never disappoints, excellent stay at the Georgian Court hotel. Frankie's restaurant always has terrific food and service, I have never felt rushed. Fluvog shoes and the Sandbar restaurant are a must. Taxis are plenty and it's easy to get around.

I love Vancouver. It's beautiful.
I love Vancouver. It's beautiful. It's got mountains, oceans, rivers, great restaurants and beaches. It's got culture and diversity. It is an expensive city though but you can get some deals on accommodations. Stanley Park is a must see as is a drive along the water. It's very easy to get around and there is transit directly at the airport that takes you downtown. There is Lyft and Uber and a decent transit system. People are very friendly and most areas are safe. It's a beautiful place to visit and I can't wait to go back!

Vancouver is a brilliant city to visit as there is so much to do (even on a budget): boat trips round the harbour, coach trips to Whistler, cycling trips round Stanley Park, shopping trips in Gastown, food and drink in Granville, illuminated night-time walks in Capilano Canyon, watching the Canucks ice hockey team, museums, art galleries. Everything is a short Uber drive away (average fare anywhere is about $12). It has a beautiful setting with typical city tower blocks set against a backdrop of mountains and the harbour. Great food with huge portions in every bar or restaurant we ate. And if you like your beer then Vancouver is perfect: every bar had a huge range of locally brewed craft ales and the bottle shops were like an Aladdin's cave of beers. And let's not forget the pharmacies: literally sweet shops for stoners! We visited for two weeks over Christmas and new year and this was about right. We did something every day. I would like to visit in the summer to get an alternative angle on everything but I would say that Vancouver is perfect to visit any time of year.
The location was exceptional. We were able to have easy access to all districts in downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. We only took a share ride once due to being more than a 30 minute walk. Everything else was practically 10 to 20 minute walk. We were 10 minute walk from Yaletown and Robson street. The hotel was very clean and always received fresh towels. We had breakfast included with our stay. The restaurant staff was excellent and very attentive. If you stay and have breakfast have the tator-tots, they were our favorite!
Although not in the downtown core, the hotel is well situated within walking distance to the Canada Line (for access to downtown and the airport) as well as bus service to UBC via the 99 B-Line.
Rooms are pleasant, clean and modern. Many restaurants within walking distance. Whole Foods and BC Liquor store nearby as well.
This was my 2nd stay and now my favourite hotel when needing to visit UBC.
We loved the location. 10 minute walk into centre of Downtown Vancouver.
We loved the comfortable beds.
The house-keeping team were very apologetic when we pointed 0out somethings that were below expected standards of a hotel.
The management team were quick in refunding us when we could not stay the full length of our trip - I really appreciated this and this is a sign of good customer service.
It was located in downtown Vancouver and was only a short walk to the train stations. There are bus stops very close to the entrance as well.
Book ahead to get a good deal. The hotel has a very nice interior and it was also clean right from the lobby to the room itself. Lots of shops around and if you need to stock up on water, 7-11 is only a short walk away.
Would definitely stay here again!
Location in downtown Vancouver is fantastic. Food: bakeries, green grocers, restaurants, coffee shops! Activities and sites! Easy public transit.
Rooftop patio was delightful. We could BBQ dinner and enjoy the evening air, our family time, as well as post-dinner conversations with other hotel guests/travelers.
Suites are comfortable, cozy. Seems each suite is unique. Secure.
Excellent situation for exploring waterfront, shops & general downtown area. Well run hotel, all staff were helpful & friendly. Starbucks handy in the lobby. Rooms were large and well appointed with super comfy bed. Good breakfast buffet, a little pricey but similar to most hotels. Would definitely stay here again if in Vancouver.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed in an art room with four adults. The room could use a little refresh, but was certainly clean, nice and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. There are some good places for diner and breakfast nearby. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Good value in Downtown Vancouver.
Great hotel with great position in Downtown Vancouver. Easy to walk everywhere, subway to the airport or everywhere else a few minutes from the hotel. Great thing that there is a small kitchen in the room with a fridge and a few dishes, plates etc.. Next time I'm coming to Vancouver, I will choose this hotel again.
Lovely hotel to stay right in the centre of downtown Vancouver and easy to reach everything from here. Many thanks to Leanne who was exceptional during our stay and sorted out and issues that we had on the first night and resolved it for us. All the staff here were lovely and went out of their way to help us.
we had a suite which was very spacious with a great view to the harbour. The bed was large and comfy. The free coffee and tea was delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located in downtown, very close to waterport station. We used public transport to get around in Vancouver.
Location is really central for downtown Vancouver. Staff very friendly and helpful. On site facilities include a good sports bar, coffee and cocktail bar, Italian restaurant and a liquor store. Best of all the hotel gave us vouchers on arrival to use in these, (except liquor store).
Best location in West End. Close to false creek Ferry/Granville Island, English Bay, Yaletown. Very walkable neighborhood. Spacious suites with balcony. Staff makes you feel like home. Forget the big box hotels! This is where you want to be in Vancouver!!
