Typical small Alberta city.
Typical small Alberta city. Lots of traffic although the drivers were fairly courteous with the usual over representation of diesel pickups. We spent quite a bit of time in Broadmoor Park which is a a really well cared for urban park with lots of facilities. Lots of small restaurants but hints of urban spawl occurring into the surrounding industrial areas. Less crowded than nearby Edmonton and little evidence of people living on the street. I'd probably stay here again over staying in Edmonton if I had the choice. I did not notice any transit while visiting so I don't know how available it is. Lots of single family housing and higher end apartment buildings.

I have lived previously in Sherwood Park. Great community.
I have lived previously in Sherwood Park. Great community. The county looks after its roads and sidewalks.
Feeling of safety. Lots of greenery.
Several relatively new shopping areas. Variety of foods offered. One caution is that some eateries close by 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm but there are the usual fast food places many of which have a drive thru open for 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Sherwood Park is part of Strathcona County and is located near Edmonton AB.
It has plenty of greenery in summer. Most retail outlets are relatively new so most buildings and parking lots are in excellent condition.
The county takes care of its sidewalks and is always repairing any new cracks.
Even in winter the county is very considerate. I remember that once I forgot to move my car after a heavy snow fall (my car was parked on a Snow Route which means I have to move the car within an hour or two of a heavy snowfall so the road can be plowed).
However, would you believe that an RCMP constable kindly called me as the tow truck was about to tow all cars that had not moved after the snowfall. He asked me if I could move my car and avoid a tow charge and a ticket. I gladly said yes. The RCMP constable saved me about $100. It is way things are done in Sherwood Park!

The hotel, itself was very good.
The hotel, itself was very good. I found it difficult to find. No signage on the entrance side, and it's across the street from the actual advertised address. Not much choice for eating. Boston Pizza next door. Cost-co is on the other side. Very much appreciated that it was pet friendly . Good breakfast. Beds comfy. Nice to have fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room.

I had family in the area so it was a perfect fit for my stay. The Bonus was that I found it the Best place to stay. I wanted to take family out to dinner and the choices are many, but CHOPS attached was tops. There was a relevant amount of noise at night considering that teams frequently stay there, it just reminded me of good old times. I was there for 6 Nights and some are noisy with happy families..

The bed and pillows were perfect!!!
The bed and pillows were perfect!!! No problems with my usual aches and pains in other hotels. Slept great!!! Quiet in our third floor room. Hallways quiet. Nice bar/restaurant attached. Large Morning breakfast started at 6 am which was perfect to get to the golf courses on time. Easy access to gas stations, and shopping of all kinds. Pleasant, helpful staff. Very clean in all areas. Would definitely stay there again.
A very comfortable and clean hotel with large rooms. Firm mattress and soft pilows. The hot breakfast was plentiful. The staff was very caring and offered to even cook up some egg for the last of our group who arrived towards closing of Breakfast.
Charlotte at check in was such a delight to meet. Full of information and very meticulous. We were so impressed that the staff sent us off with a selection of snacks and drinks to compensate for the inconvenience of elevator breaking down briefly
Super clean, excellent staff, quiet room, relaxing, great breakfast, wonderful comfortable bed and super value. As a couple who have traveled a lot and a husband who have spent 240 nights in a hotel one year as Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C. - highest marks for the Holiday Inn Express in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
SPECIAL thanks to General Manager, Hany Tadros who set us up in a perfect room by setting us up with perfect accommodations as we traveled with our dog.
The service was excellent! The room was very clean. The most comfortable bed ever , like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast was outstanding 👌. Can't say enough about the amazing hotel. We will be staying there from now on and have told others to do the same.
We lived in great family room with 2 beds and sofa bed. It was so clean, huge TV in every bedroom and in living room, very comfortable beds, modern style, even lockers with lights, delicious breakfast, we didn't want to leave. We highly recommend this hotel.
The "breakfast" consisting of a cold boiled egg, yogurt, a muffin, apple and a sports bar didn't come close a breakfast the reasons I chose the hotel for its included breakfast definity disappointed. Thumbs definitely down
The hotel lobby was very nice, restaurant and a bar in the lobby area, very convenient. The location was excellent with many businesses close by.
I have stayed in many Super 8’s, this property exceeded my expectations.
Comfortable bed, good breakfast, and the bonus was the beautiful pond with the walk around it right outside the back of the hotel. We saw pelicans and other water fowl. Was an unexpected treat for a hotel stay.
Great location! Just off yellowhead. Nice view of pond. Clean hotel
Friendly staff. I was there for 3 nights on business. Lots of shops near the hotel. Very comfortable. Had everything I needed.
Very clean and well maintained, lots of parking and very friendly staff. The layout of the European style bathroom suites is a little different from traditional hotel rooms but still quite nice.
Large clean king bedroom. AC and heat. Quiet. Restaurant in hotel. Free morning breakfast...all the usual plus crisp bacon, omelets, tater tots, baked beans and pancakes. Definitely a keeper.
We love the location of the hotel, not far from shopping and restaurants. Perfect for when we come for a family vacation. My 3 yr old loves the pool! We are there all the time.
