It does have an odor sometimes because of the industrial businesses. (Pulp mill). The homeless issue is quite bad as Prince George is a central hub in the province.
There are many restaurants to choose from and (what I consider) a lot of shopping options.

The PG Sandman Signature was horrific.
The PG Sandman Signature was horrific. A hockey team’s bus was left running all night right outside 4 floors of rooms. Noise complaint not addressed. Hot water took 15 minutes to heat to even a luke warm temp. Only 1 elevator in working order. Face cloth in bathroom was blood stained. Toilet seat would not remain up. No breakfast offered or available. Limited parking. Language barrier with staff.

Prince George does not feel like a city to us.
Prince George does not feel like a city to us. Instead it feels like 4/5 separate communities that happen to overlap a bit. This is largely due to the downtown area which has the potential to be quite fabulous feeling abandoned and shabby (with the exception of a few nice places to eat and a lovely coffee shop called Rituals).
The various communities are pretty much like their own mini towns with a mall of some kind in the centre and so have no need to venture out of their area, and there is not enough in downtown currently to make it a destination. Though there are a few must sees like Connaught Park.

The malls were good but web sites for go carts need updating as i wasted time driving out there cause site said they were open when it didnt look like track has been used for long time.and theres no customer service at dennys.and timmies arent great
Our satnav took us a round about way to arrive at the property and it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere so when we arrived to the warmest of welcomes from the owner we were immediatley reassured. The cottage had everything we needed and it was great to meet the horses and dogs (even though I'm allergic to both they were irrestibly friendly!). We also loved the humming bird feeder. A little bit out of Prince George but easy enough to get there and back and such a comfortable place to stay and enjoy the ranch atmosphere.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Prince George. The front counter staff (Alexandria and team) were very friendly and helpful, and the room decor was very modern with hardwood floors and a large shower stall. The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of variety. The location away from the downtown area was actually an upside, as there was very little unwanted noise.
The breakfast was awesome, love the pancake machine and there was an excellent selection of breakfast foods to choose from. The location is good close to shopping (Walmart Supercenter) I think it would be a better location if it was located a little closer in town so people could explore the shops, restaurants and other activities Prince George has to offer but overall everything was excellent.
This cottage was located on a beautiful, open ranch outside of Prince George. Every little detail was addressed in order to make our stay wonderful. The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and so pleasing to the eye. Delicious cinnamon buns awaited us and Maureen (the host) was there to greet us and ensure we had everything we needed including carrots to feed the horses.
The staff were great, very friendly. Facility was very nice. Hotel was spotless and very modern. Loved the restaurant (Grand Trunk) and options for breakfast in morning (different restaurant). Definitely enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Lots of space for parking too which was nice as I was in my work truck. Bed was super comfy, I slept really well.
The location is good, I really appreciate the underground locked parking, it is one of the many reasons I stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Prince George.
The rooms are always clean, the staff is always kind and helpful, the pool and hot tub are very nice, clean, and a good size.
The room sizes are Great!
The room was nice and although the breakfast is not as good as it was when there was an restaurant, it was acceptable.
This is my preferred place to stay in Prince George and the new owners have made some changes that make things better.
The location was right downtown and close to where I needed to be. The price was reasonable and the hotel seemed fairly updated inside. The staff were very helpful recommending restaurants and in accommodating my late checkout requirement
The rooms are great especially if you are travelling with young kids. The ability to have different sleep options is worth its weight in gold ! Food and drink in the bar - like hotels used to have is fantastic !
Everything was good in the room. The hotel room was clean, spacious enough, located very conveniently to everything that we wanted in town. Desk staff were very friendly. Parking was convenient.
A good value hotel that was right on the highway. We had a good dinner at the nearby Vietnamese restaurant. We all slept fine. We appreciated the stay. We had 2 rooms for all of us.
The hotel was clean, quiet and close to amenities. Next to the PG golf course, only wish we could have fit a game in! Front desk staff were excellent to deal with.
