What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you expected. We’ve been on the road three weeks so it, to us, was a small and relaxed souk. Similar to Rabat in many ways you won’t get too much hassle.

I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed.
I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed. However, I have stayed outside of Taroudant in a wonderful old kasbah while traveling through Morocco. That stay has always been a highlight.

Taroundant is a wonderful city.
Taroundant is a wonderful city. It is a beautiful walled city & you can stay inside or outside. Different markets; Grand Souk & Berber souk inhabit the centre & are a maze of colour & excitement. There are western style & Moroccan restaurants & people are very friendly. Outside the city there are wonderful restaurants; eg Les Jardins, Dar Zituone, & places to visit; Agadir (1.5 hours), Chateau Claudio Bravo, botanic gardens etc.
It is a clean small city with a good vibe.

A wonderful experience !
A wonderful experience ! The ‘ real ‘ Morocco IMO , unspoiled by tourism . We were looking forward to the Sunday Market , but it was very disappointing. Lots of vegetables ( available everyday in the Medina) and a sheep and goat section, but mostly Chinese goods and farm implements .
We took a horse drawn carriage in the Medina a couple of times …it was cheap and pleasant .
The locals were quite friendly and a visit to the Berber and Arab handicraft markets were interesting .
All in all a great visit for a couple of days . Don’t miss the Palm oasis and Ancient Kasbah about a half hours drive from the Town center.

Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Very little hassle so easy to wander round and enjoy the sights.
Ideal for winter spring and autumn but would be blistering hot in summer.
Perfect distance for a couple of days out from Agadir.

I came for 2 nights and stayed for 15 or 16.
I came for 2 nights and stayed for 15 or 16. What really kept me there was the fact that Morocco was in the World Cup and kept winning! Together with another guest, we went to different restaurants each night to watch the games. ALL OF THE PEOPLE I met in Taroudant were awesome, including the guy who sold me bread, the guy who sold the olives, the lady who sold the flat bread in the street, all the waiters at all the restaurants who served me mint tea, and, especially, Said, the owner of the Chambres d'Hote des Amis, who could not have been any more hospitable!!
The apartment has all of the amenities you need. It is very spacious and comfortable, with good beds and blinds that block out the light completely. We particularly liked the coffee machine. The shower is also great, hot and good water pressure - a rare combination in Morocco.
The hosts are excellent, very friendly, helpful and receptive to messages.
The location is ideal, just a few hundred metres outside the city walls in a quiet new development.
The location was good near the central square, not difficult at all to find.
The riad is a wonderful property, full of charm & character. It is nothing short of a carefully designed set for a romantic movie.
The rooms we had were good in size, had good bathroom layout with separate toilet room & shower booth, naturally ventilated.
It had a pool, a wonderfully exotic garden and an empty land plot behind the property as parking. But...
What a joy to stay in Palais Soumensour, it is a little piece of paradise in the middle of Taroudant. Beautiful spacious rooms, very very clean and a beautiful well-kept garden with nice lounge beds, an inviting pool and prompt service for drinks. I could sit all day in the courtyard and just enjoy the surroundings. The staff is very friendly and the WIFI is was the best during our tour in Morocco. I hope to be back one day..
Everything, the most amazing and best accomodation in Morocco that we stayed in on our trip. The quality of the furnishings and the decor was top class. The bed was so big and comfy, the bedding exceptionally quality. The breakfast, delicious with fruit, yogurt, pancakes, cake, fresh oranges juice, tea and coffee. The staff are so friendly and informative. Don't hesitate to book, you won't regret it.
One of the best things that happened to me in Taroudant. I didn't much time to stay at the city and enjoy the Medina. But the stay at Dar Randigaba made my stay in Taroudant satistying.
The decoration is so stylish and the welcome is warm. The family managing this did an awesome work.
It is the kind of properties you feel the love and warmth from the moment you step in, until you checkout
The friendliness of the staff working there, they have us lots of advice and it was so nice getting to know them.
The riad is beautiful with lots of great terraces and they gave us mint tea on the terrace when we arrived.
Great location and easy to walk places.
Very good value for money. We paid for the meal and it was the best tajine we had in Morocco, and a lovely meal
We were in Morocco in November. Accommodation is highly recommended. Rooms were big enough and breakfast was exceptional on the roof terrace. Host was very friendly and even showed us the souks. Parking was right in front of the riad. The location of the accommodation is highly recommended. The riad even has a turtle named Sabrina.
exceptional in all aspects : the resort architecture, the huge rooms, comfort, the huge pool, very friendly staff.
dinner and breakfast were great , and the location outside Taroudant above a dry riverbed and near real villages is great. it was the most comfortable and impressive place to stay . highly recommended !
First of all, this hotel looks absolutely beautiful. it’s built inside the old dar wall and the garden looks neat, well maintained and very cosy.
The rooms are spotless, comfortable and spacious.
The staff are very professional, patient and very kind .
If I could, I would give this property a 12 out of 10.
The Palais is a magnificent and special property unlike staying anyplace else. Luxury and comfort abound. Staff members Mustapha and Marino are shining gems. Their tour of the property for us and then upon our return trip for our daughters let us share in their reverence for Claudio and his legacy.
The property is a nice fresh 'new build'. The WiFi and TV were good, with an exceptional range of TV channels. We could not find the property, but hosts came out to find us very quickly at a nearby hotel where we called in for directions.
Said, The owner of this accommodation is courteous and helpful
He prepared a good breakfast for me
He promised that he will do some renovation in his house
He propose also treks in the region of Taroudant
Absolutely everything! Said and his team are the loveliest, smiliest people you will come across. Such a great harmony and energy around the Riad. You MUST stay here if in Taroudant
Les trois paons is a hidden gem near Taroudant . We had our own cottage in the lovely garden. The host and staff are very friendly. We also enjoyed the dinner and breakfast.
Lovely, tastefully appointed riad conveniently located near restaurants and shops. A serene and quiet oasis away from bustle of the street. Good breakfast, helpful staff.
Amazing hotel!
Felt like a princess
It's so pretty, staff is very nice, hotel is very big and beautiful to explore
Also they have many box games so it's super nice!
