Wonderful guide Renata ( found on the website for the Bialowieza National Park) made our day : we had a fantastic walk in the restricted area ( guide essential) with her . She was incredibly knowledgable and made the walk very interesting ( it took 4 hours and cost 600 PZL). The next day we say bison up close ( a long with wild horses, lynx, wild boar) at the Reserve Pokazowy ( about 12PZL each) which is a very pleasant mini zoo.

The location was easy to reach by public transport (train or bus) from Warsaw. We visited Białowieźa in mid of September and the weather was really nice (cool). The air was clean and only very few people we met in the forests. There were only 3-4 budget restaurants in the town and a couple of places were closed temporarily due to vacation.

This town in the heart of the National Park might seem difficult to get to without a car but there is a PKP train to Hajnowka and a short walk from the railway station to the regional Voyager (and town) bus stop at 3 Maja 24, 17-200 Hajnówka.
In Bialowieza it is best to get around by bicycle or take a horse & carriage ride. Although the town is in the center of the forest, to see the main attraction, Bison, it is too far to walk. You can hire good bikes at reasonable prices from Wypożyczalnia rowerów „U Strażnika Leśnego”.
Modern rooms and exceptional breakfast. The hotel restaurant offers a nice selection of local dishes and craft beer. Use of the pool area is complementary and absolutely perfect since there was not crowded at all. We decided to hire an English speaking guide last minute and the hotel arranged for an ornithologist who took us to the strict reserve of the park and was really, really knowledgeable. So overalls, a great experience and will be happy to recommend anytime.
Easy drive to restaurants and Białowieża National Park Headquarters. Fair price for a whole, 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Staff were nice but with little/no English (however, they were willing to call somebody who did speak English to talk to us when we had questions about the breakfast). Apartment was tired, but nicely clean. Ample bedding. Didn't need it but noted the baby gate at top of the stairs (which were sturdy but quite steep). Ample free parking.
The location was great and the view from the balcony was very relaxing. It's a short drive by car or bike to some of the most popular trailheads or restaurants in Białowieża, and at the same time you're at the edge of the town, so it's very peaceful and quiet. The room and the bathroom were very clean and large enough for a short stay. There's a common lounge room with a kitchen, so you can use a fridge or a stove.
We had the best experience at the cottage.
The house is spacious and very well equipped in a big garden close to the forest. Everything is new and in perfect condition.
Daniel was so nice and helpful. He took his time to give us lots of tips to hike and spot animals. Without him our trip to Bialowieza would definitly not have been the same. Such a warm person, thanks again for all, we hope to see you again !
The guesthouse Olsik is a family home located just on the outskirts of Białowieża. So close to nature that I even spotted a deer 20 meters from the house! The hospitable family, with two playful dogs, can offer a generous dinner and breakfast for an additional fee, and will help you find your way in the vicinity. Everything is clean, and there is even a rack for parking your bike. I definitely recommend them!
The apartment is brand new and was sparkling clean. Quite spacious for two people, with a functional kitchen, nice bathroom, sitting area with a sofa and a very comfortable big bed. The kitche stove is induction, so beware if you plan on bringing your stovetop espresso machine. The location is perfect if you plan on hiking in the forest. There's ample parking in front.
- the house itself is so beautiful
- the rooms are comfortable
- Had a nice big bed that slept very well
- You can, for a small price have the nicest home made Polish breakfast, and homebrewn beer!
- the Hosts are sweethearts
- 2 very big, lovel, cuttling dogs
- almost in the forest itself, and only 15 min walk from Bialowieza National Park
Due to issues with flights, we were only here for one night. We arrived late and left early for our Białowieża Forest tour. Nevertheless, our stay was lovely and we wish we could have spent more time at Wejmutka. Our host, the facilities, everything more than exceed expectations.
The apartment was spacious, very comfortable, clean, and provided nice amenities -- a hot pot for tea, great towels, etc. Our host, Elizabeth, was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The surroundings were serene and beautiful, and the area restaurants were fabulous.
Good value for money, good location near Bialowieza forest, no breakfast but kitchen available, friendly hosts, nice comfortable room. According to the owner, the bison can be seen behind their fence in winter.
Great place to stay for visiting National Park Białowieża. Park entrance is within walking distance.
We are on a world bicycle tour. We cycle 100,000 km in 7 years. Check www.xplorid.today for more info.
