It's an attractive town, with good restaurants and shopping and lovely architecture and historic landmarks. The park is lovely too, and we visited museo casa de cervantes which was quite a highlight and beautifully presented. Quite an underrated town I would say.
We ate at a couple of good restaurants la tasquita which is a good tapas bar and also Los zagales where we had a fixed price menu which was excellent.

Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor.
Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor. Cathedral is less impressive. During my visit in September a festival was going on and the city was alive with music and food stalls every where. A lot of bike lanes and bikes for hire make you go around the city very easy.

Lovely, compact city to stroll around.
Lovely, compact city to stroll around. Plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants. Some fabulous architecture. Places worth visiting are National Sculpture Museum, Cathedral and Parque Campo Grande (beautiful, tranquil Park in the centre of the city). Unfortunately, the Casa de Cervantes was closed the weekend I was there, so can't comment on it.
I had no need for public transport except when I went to the football stadium (which is 2/3km beyond the river).
Overall, a very friendly, pleasant and safe city. Would definitely return.

We picked Valladolid a convenient place to rest, for a couple of days, on a long journey but it is a fascinating small city with a rich history and lots to see on foot, a huge range of places to drink and eat and watch the world go by.

What a lovely place!
What a lovely place! We stayed overnight driving from Portugal to Santander for the ferry. Arrived early afternoon and had a wander around the town. It's such a pretty place, lovely buildings, cafes, bars, a really lively pleasant vibe.

We were greeted and felt very welcomed by Hotel Manager Roberto. You could tell he was very proud of the hotel and city. He gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. It was a shame we were only there one night - however, we would definately return.
The room was slightly bigger than the Ibis hotels we used in France over the years. Nice bathroom but like all Ibis hotels the towels a not good quality and you only get one bath towel each, no hand towels.
the evening meal was adequate but nothing special. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel was conveniently situated from the Autovia 62 and that was why we chose it. The receptionist was helpful with directions on visiting the centre of Valladolid and where to park.
I travel in Spain for work nearly continuously and have stayed in many hotels over the years. I think this is actually the best I have encountered! The front desk staff was hands down the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful I've ever met. It was a pleasure to interact with them. On top of that, the room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast perfect, and the location 5 minutes walk from the train station. I will stay here again.
Spacious very well appointed hotel with excellent room overlooking the River Douro (called the Duero in Spain). Not in the city centre but in a very nice part of town with easy access to centre. Location ideal for overnight stay on drive to Bilbao with secure parking and easy to find on good road network.
Although quiet when we were there the restaurant served delicious food and was reasonably priced. All in all a very successful stay.
Price
Although I was in Spain for weeks at similar price points and this was least favorable
There is a bar & dining on site I had wine that was good there with good price .
I didn't eat here
They changed my room from attic booking to 1st floor.
As I recall the water pressure was good in shower.
Very good location close to the train station & lovely park. Liked the hotel & room decor, room was comfortable & quiet & particularly liked the bathroom conveniences. The dining staff was outstanding as they were efficient, professional & friendly. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.
Superb location in the very heart of the city. This 16th century bourgeois street - Calle de la Platería - is one of the oldest if Valladolid and is located near the Plaza Mayor, the cathedral, the church of San Pablo and the University of Valladolid (the second oldest in Spain)...
Location - I was in Valladolid for the city's September feria and the hotel is practically opposite the bullring. El Corte Inglés department store is also nearby, while the city centre is a 20-minute walk away. The room was a good size and clean.
The location was absolutely perfect, a stone throw away from Plaza Mayor. Hotel has been recently refurbished. Room was big enough for my needs with a huge bathroom. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice room with sufficient space. Private parking available fortunately, because the streets around the hotel are very busy with parked cars. Easy access by car. Friendly staff and a very good restaurant.
easy to get to from the main road. safe easy parking in front of the hotel. Amazing architecture and huge beautiful room Excellent restaurant. Incredible value for money. We loved this hotel
The hotel director welcomed us with about 20 minutes presentation about Valladolid and its history. Excellent service! Breakfast was good as well as the dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.
We had a bit of a challenge with the phone based access system - since my USA phone number used during booking was not activated in Spain. Owner was nearby and met us for access.
Stayed a number of times here . Location great . Parking great . Accommodation is what you want . Valladolid has a buzz about it and underrated we think . All good . Good value .
