As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Don't miss out on sipping fresh, local orange juice or enjoying tasty tapas in a sidewalk café.
Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.
The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75,000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.
As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city center hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also has guesthouses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, the restaurant at the hotel was good the breakfast was good and you could ask for freshly cooked. The surrounding restaurants were also very good and the beach was lovely although not hot enough in Feb to sit on. Would definitely recommend this hotel and area. We are now looking to book again for this year.

Buildings in Valencia are beautiful .The museums themselves let alone the content of the exhibitions are lovely buildings and I think there is something for everyone.
On a previous trip ,the zoo was fabulous for all ages and the animals are well looked after .
The indoor market is wonderful and there are street markets in the Town hall square and others at the weekends by the indoor market.I didn’t make it to the beach.
Definitely the place for paella and some lovely Spanish food.Shops galore too.

Valencia is a beautiful human scale city.
Valencia is a beautiful human scale city. Very friendly and relaxing. We stayed in April and there were short queues for the cathedral but everything else was easy and quick to get into. We had 5 days there and still could have stayed longer to venture out to the biopark or other regions of the city. I recommend staying in or close to the old city so most of what you want is walkable. Regular buses take you around, including to the beach. Taxis are constantly on the high streets which can be flagged down and are reasonably priced.

The city was easy to navigate on foot and the architecture was beautiful. it is an extremely clean city with plenty to see and do. The cycle paths are wonderful and there are plenty of green open spaces. The Bioparc was a highlight and so were the modern museums and aquarium.
Albufera is just a 40 minute bus ride away and well worth doing.
We ate at fabulous restaurants during our week long stay in Valencia. Our favourite was Pelayo Gastro Trinquet and also La Calita both of which are easily found on Google. They were recommended by the hotel staff and were top notch. Value for money beer and sandwich establishment 100 Montaditos is great for lunch right on Placa de la Reina square where there are always plenty of entertainers. On the other side of the square is a fantastic tapas establishment - Taberna Vintara.
My first Paella is a cookery school is where we spent 4 hours learning how to make the perfect Valencian paella. A visit to a local market was included and the whole experience was wonderful and definitely something to try if you love food.
We hired bikes for one day and cycled from the Bioparc to the beach where we had lunch. There are no hills and well defined bike paths so it is safe and extremely enjoyable.
Enjoy your time in Valencia

A city of contrasts.
A city of contrasts. Wonderful gothic, historic buildings in the centre. Incredible modern architecture in the City of Arts & Sciences a short distance away. Food and drink plentiful and excellent. We took the tourist hop on bus which gave us an overview. Easy city to walk around. We ate locally to our apartment near the Central market in the evenings and had some fantastic food.
We loved the location right on the beach. The staff were very firendly and helpful. The apartment had its own entrance separate from the hotel and was quiet altogether. There was a lift which was great use. The apartment was spacious for 3 adults with great utilities: fridge freezer, washing machine-dryer, and coffee machine we used. There was also a dishwasher. Plus TV
The location really made it for us- also close to a local food shop, the bus and tram stops, and restaurants along the beach. Couldn't be better for what we wanted!
The location was great being right on the beach and so close to all the bars and restaurants. Even with this the ambient noise from them overnight didn’t keep us awake. The Spanish guy (really sorry i forgot his name) who worked most evenings was superb. Spoke really good English, was incredibly helpful and chatted away to us offering advice on day trips, things to see, facilities in the area and helping get us our covid tests for re-entry to the U.K. this person is a real asset to the hotel was was fantastic.
I was living my best beach life! This is a really nice apartment. It is right on the beach and the terrace the perfect place to relax and think about things or get some work done (the WIFI was great). The host was full of tips, jokes and information she even has binoculars so you can people watch down below! The apartment was extremely clean the whole time I was there. The bedroom was also very nice, the bed was one of the coziest in Spain. It’s such a cute little vacation town I hope to go again one day!
The location was perfect. The apartment was super clean and quiet. All beds and appliances and furnishings were newer. There were ample supplies for the kitchen and bathroom (which often is missing at rentals). The laundry facilities were a savior for a family traveling as light as we were. Alex and the staff were very responsive and helpful with restaurant and site recommendations. Overall, our favorite place to stay in Spain across 4 cities visited.
Very close to the beach, bus, supermarket. There are some nice restaurant on the beach too, very close. For our family with 2 kids, it was a perfect stay. Even though it was pretty far away from oceanografic and city center, staying on the beach every evening was a big big plus. Also we had the possibility to leave the luggage at the hotel reception when we arrived and the day we left for a few hours.
Quiet, comfy well appointed room. Comfy bed. curtains that kept the light out. bathroom fully equipped and shower with plenty of hot water . kettle and fridge provided. great location in centre of town on a quiet side street. valencia can be very noisy at night. This hotel is just away from noisy bars though they are close if you want night life you just dont want it under your window.
The hotel was wonderfully located right in the the center of town near all public transport, restaurants, shops. the beach is 30 minutes away on the metro.
Public transport is very cheap so are taxis.
The city of science is about 40 minutes on the buses.
Breakfast was the usual buffet for a 4 star hotel.
Reception and breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking location was accessible directly from the Hotel and provided a secure garage for our car. Not cheap, but worth it.
Terrace rooftop bar was a great getaway spot in the evening and the limited menu was surprisingly good. The breakfast buffet is impressive but pricey if you only lean towards a small, continental type of breakfast like we do.
Wonderful boutique hotel with beautifully light neutral rooms and exceptionally comfortable beds.
Wonderful views and great toiletries. Superbe breakfast and a reception that could not have been more welcoming and helpful. A stroll to all the old town has to offer and a short walk to uber cool Russafa.
Highly recommended.
the location was terrific. the cathedral is (no kidding) 10 yards from the front door. the management was friendly and superb. the room was large comfortable and well decorated. we were in Spain for 2 weeks and stayed at a range of hotels including high end. this was our favorite and at a great price
Location was excellent! The tram and metro are in front of the hotel. So in less then 15 minutes you are in the old centre or on the beach. Room is perfect for a city trip. Everyday cleaning and the beds were really comfy. Good price for the type of room/hotel that you get! Would recommend!
The Westin is a first-class experience. The staff were very friendly and extremely supportive of our two dogs. The pool and sauna were lovely. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Spain. Lastly, its location next to the huge city park made it the perfect spot.
The location was perfect! The staff were so helpful and breakfast was one of the best meals we've had at a hotel. It was an amazing start to our Spainish vacation!
smart modern hotel with pool and spa. close to the Museums and aquarium. €10 taxi to old town centre. own car park, but pricey. 80min spa experience was fun €15
