An Architectural Gem Set in a Picture-Perfect Backdrop
Nestled amongst the picture-perfect backdrop of Guadarrama Mountains, Segovia is an architectural and historical gem which blends several charming monuments and landmarks, with a mix of lively bars and restaurants. It is home to a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site old city, along with the ancient Acueducto de Segovia and Segovia City Walls.
Beyond the Segovia City Walls stands the fascinating Veracruz Church, overlooking the famous Alcázar of Segovia. Just an hour drive away is the 15th-century masterpiece, Castillo de Coca.
Segovia is popular for a day trip or short sightseeing getaway due its close proximity to Madrid, a short train ride from Segovia´s train station. However to get a real feel and taste of the city it may be wise to hang around a little longer and appreciate the amazing sightseeing, mouth-watering cuisine, relaxing vibe and energetic nightlife it has to offer.
Other popular sights are P.P. Carmelitas Descalzos Temple, Plaza San Lorenzo and Church and the beautiful Botanic Garden Segovia and fascinating Segovia Provincial Museum.
Booking.com has great deals in Segovia, Madrid and the Castile and León region.
An absolutely beautiful town. Lots of walking, lots to see and so many restaurants to choose from. Friendly staff everywhere. We only had a single day (next year we will plan a longer stay) so we did a lot of walking and spent time visiting the castle.

Segovia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.
Segovia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. The Alcazar and the Cathedral are stunning, but nothing compares to the first time you see the Roman aqueduct. The only complaint I have is that everything closes after 2 pm and as a tourist you are forced to return to your hotel or wonder around while the town looks like a ghost town. Perhaps they could keep some of the tourist attractions open, so tourists are able to do something while the locals take their siesta.

We stayed two nights, but could have spent at least another day, or two. Take the time to walk around the river path down around the front of the Alcazar for views up, and when you get to the old bridge walk up and over the road and up the stairs to the lookout. Amazing photos. Climb the Cathedral bell tower for magnificent views of the city.

The stunning Roman Aqueduct, fairy-tale Alcázar, and Cathedral were stunning. Enjoy the traditional the signature dish of Segovia the Roast Suckling Pig (Cochinillo) which is so juicy and tender with crispy skin at one of the wonderful restaurants in old town. The royal mint and walks was a great bonus for our trip.

Food Tapas was really good in all the Bars. However most of the Bars did not display Price list for Drinks and in some they were quiet expensive and varied a great deal. Worth a mention Restaurant El Sitio brilliant Tapas Bar/Restaurant and Bar Socorro very good.

Nice city centre with cathedral, Alcazar, lot of churches and of course aqueduct.
Everything in a walk distance.
Lot of restaurants and bars.
Train station approx. 15 minutes by bus from a city centre - on time in the morning.
But of course there was a lot of tourists.
The location right on the Plaza Major in Segovia is wonderful. It's a spectacular medieval (and Roman/Turkish, etc.) hill town and from the Plaza everything is downhill. Of course there's a flip side but it's nice not to have to start the day with a trek uphill. Also a lot of very fine restaurants, bars, shops and cultural attractions are an easy walk from the Plaza. Recommend asking for a room that does not face the Plaza as Spaniards really enjoy late evenings, especially in the summer. Lovely full breakfast is included.
Hotel was in an excellent location a stone's throw from the city centre. Parking was off site but the hotel has a special arrangement with the provider so it's only 14euros a day and it's situated literally one minute walk from the hotel and is secure. Room was pleasant and hotel again very nice. My only criticism would be that the Aircon in our room wasn't very powerful but not sure if we were just unlucky! Overall would recommend and would look to stay again if we revisited Segovia!
We stayed 1 night in the hotel. Its location is excellent (very quit) at the end of the aquaduct which is some hundred metres from the city centre of Segovia. The rooms have everything you need. The bathroom has some authentic characteristics. There are parking spaces available (reservation is recommended). The person at the reception was very friendly. Breakfast was OK with different choices of meat and cheese.
The hotel was peaceful, quiet and clean. Our room was lovely and of a good size with a lovely little terrace and wonderful views of the Alcazar. The tranquility was what we liked best as even with a central location we felt as though we were in the countryside. The location was excellent and close to everything. If we return to Segovia (which I hope we will) we will certainly return to this hotel.
The short answer is everything:-) Location, staff, room decor and size, and the overall atmosphere are the highlights. Segovia is a super special place even though Spain is a special country overall. Miguel and his team could not be more helpful and considerate for all my requests. Just book yourself in and enjoy.
Staff André was most helpful and accommodating. My room was upgraded to a better one at no charge. Aparthotel is very near the bus station (~/<5 mins walk) with regular buses to Madrid Moncloa, and a short walk to the Plaza Mayor. It was quiet & peaceful at night. Beds were very comfortable and clean.
Staff usually makes every stay enjoyable and this hotel has very friendly people. The hotel is in the old part of town and every good spot in Segovia is accessible by walking. Always reserve parking because the catedral parking is way more expensive than the hotel’s parking.
Parking is easy and, for a change in Spain, when actually parking, it only required a 3 point turn to get around the pillars / corners. Access directly to the hotel from the car-park which was useful. This hotel is convenient for all the main tourist sights of Segovia.
There is no parking around the hotel as it is on the middle of the main part of town. We received clear instructions of the car park location and walked the 500 metres. We made sure we were organised before getting to Segovia so we didn't need our big suitacases.
The location is right beside the aqueduct and close to restaurants. The staff was very kind and attentive. Parking is available at the hotel and public parking is nearby, so you don’t have to navigate narrow cobblestone streets with car.
Central location in a historic building, with a beautifully furnished ground floor salon and balconies available for guest use at the back of the building and on the rooftop terrace. Views across the rooftops of Segovia from the room.
Great Host, very welcoming and helpful.
Location 10min from Segovia.
Great food at the bar below the hotel, really tasty and friendly service.
Hotel is basic, very clean and well organized, have everything you need.
The location was great, and the room was amply sized. The owner was very nice. Despite being on a main street, the room was pretty well sound-proofed. Heard some stuff on Saturday night, but welcome to Spain.
The location was stunning. You couldn’t ask for better views! We loved the architecture which gave the hotel so much character. Sitting by the fire looking over floodlit Segovia was utterly memorable
Amazing hotel right on the outskirts of Segovia just 2 minutes from the motorway. Took a 2 night break on the way to Santander so able to send a day in the amazing city.
This hotel was very easy to find and their staff was professional and made our stay enjoyable. The location was ideal for visiting the historic sites in Segovia.
