This review is from Howard. The room was booked by my wife Catherine. This parador is in a stunning location at the top of the road, twenty minutes above Cazorla at 1300 metres elevation. My room was massive, really comfortable and with an amazing view. It was one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in, anywhere. On arrival, I paid an extra 10 euros per night for a room with a view. This was certainly money well spent!
The breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey at 19 euros. I spent two nights here and had two evening meals, venison both times which was excellent. My only criticism was the quantity of vegetables with the venison. It was minimal and, on the second night, the total quantity amounted to two desert spoons only. Despite this, the quality of the food and the friendly service was excellent. I ate both my evening meals outside on the terrace, admiring the stupendous view …perfect!
The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Marina on the front desk was extremely helpful and gave me all the information I needed on the walking trails in the area and even had the Spanish instructions translated into English for me. She was a real standout. Moreover, she speaks excellent English. Brava Marina!
Interesting and picturesque castle.
Lovely views and walks from the village (though probably more from nearby Cazorla).
We travelled in April, just after Easter, and there were no restaurants open in the village, so the one small minarket had to suffice. Had the weather been better, we could probably have walked into Cazorla village where there may have been places to eat

There are lots of restaurants in the area, but we ate in the hotel as it was convenient and we had two dogs with us, so had to be careful of the summer heat. It is a nice 2 hour drive up from where we live and its somewhere we look forward to coming back to every time. We had our son and his fiancee with us and they loved the whole area, as well as the hotel.

The village is at the edge of Cazorla park.
The village is at the edge of Cazorla park. For those coming from far away, it is a good place to stop before the actual visit in the park. The village is beautiful with a nice castle offering great views.
The hotel was in a great location for visiting Cazorla . We thought the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. It looked like the room had been recently painted and decorated and met our expectations.
We were able to have a good breakfast and tasty dinner in the restaurant. Overall we were very satisfied.
Fantastic location. Great views. Beautiful garden. Quiet place. Parking on site.
Excellent base for the walks in the Parque Naatural de Cazorla, if you have a car.
Lovely family run hotel, the staff are friendly and super helpful and the cooking is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and have a breathtaking view. Recommended.
