Loved the facilities in general busy restaurant and quiet rooms in back of facility. The staff are friendly and engaged and go above and beyond to work around my lack of Spanish language skills.

Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.
The modern, soundproofed rooms in Hotel Granda all have flat-screen satellite TV and garden views.

Modern hotel. Very clean. Nice staff. Just a few minutes walk from the Roman bridge and the centre of Cangas de Onis which is a nice town with loads of bars and restaurants.
This charming hotel is ideal for both a peaceful and fun-filled break in the beautiful countryside of Asturias. It lies outside Cangas de Onís and the ancient sanctuary of Covadonga.

A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy.
A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy. This is a really popular spot for mainly Spanish tourism as far as I could tell.
The monastery was fantastic as were the lakes that really are worth the 9 euro bus ride to get to (the only way up aside from walking or cycling).

A cute tiny city with amazing views. 15-20 mins by bus to the famous Lagos de Covadonga (lakes). I recommend taking bus as the roads are narrow and might be difficult to drive. There are restaurants, hotels and free parking. Ideal for those who want to visit Lagos de Covadonga. Also, there is a breathtaking church in the mountains.

We didn't spend much time in the city and went straight to the lakes.
make sure to have at least 2 hours there!!! such an amazing view! the lakes themselves, the mountains and the animals (cows and sheep) walking around is just breathtaking.
Keep in mind that in peak seasons cars are not allowed to go up to the lakes, and honestly the trip is a bit scary, so you can take the bus or take a taxi with a few people. but take in mind that the taxis only stay there for about 45 minutes and then take you back down, which is just not enough time.

Unfortunately visited at a very busy time-major religious festival as well as still apparently school holidays.
The lakes are lovely,as is the surrounding scenery. The buses were good and frequent.
The area closest to the buses were quite busy but we were able to walk properly away from crowds.
We had inadvertently booked an attic room -- which I would not recommend -- but thanks to Cristina at the reception desk we were offered a far better room for a very modest supplement, despite arriving at the busiest time of year, just before Asturias Day (September 8). The hotel is atmospheric and redolent of a different era. Close to the shrine of La Santina for those of a religious persuasion, and perfectly placed for a trip to the Lakes for those who prefer a walk in the mountains.
This hotel is located pretty much right across the street from Sanctuary of Covadonga and closest bus stop to Covadonga Lakes. The hotel itself is new and beautiful, very clean. Breakfast was absolutely luxurious (matches 4 and 5 star hotels in the area). Room and bathroom are spacious. Bed mattress seems to be of foam kind which I normally dislike, but I slept well. There is mini-fridge (very quiet) and coffee maker in the room, no kettle though. Hotel has private parking.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for my trip going to visit Lagos de Covadonga. The deco on the hallway gave a sense of nostalgia, brought back fond memory of my visit to south America. If I have to "complain", it might be the lack of elevator, but, in fact, it is not really an issue because an elevator might have spoiled the elegant atmosphere. Meanwhile, the lady at the front desk was kind enough to help us to bring one luggage to the room.
Excellent breakfast with great variety and nutritional value. The location was lovely along the river and a view of the cathedral/basilica. A five minute walk from other restaurants around the village and parking out front. If you do not have a vehicle they personally call the taxi service. Great place and great owners. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home on their way up to the lakes or a weekend in Covadonga.
It's a small boutique hotel situated at the foot of a trail leading up to the monastery. Very quaint and quiet with a nice yard outside and a view of the monastery. If you want to get away from the crowds then this is the place.
The bed is comfortable and the room size was good for 2 people. We had room 2 which had a nice view of the monastery. Body wash and soap is available
Jorge was friendly enough and check in went smoothly.
Bea brought us coffee, fruit, and pastries the night before as we were departing prior to breakfast. The location for historic Covadonga and the Lagos was superior. Quiet location that allowed for sleep post and pre hiking long days back to back in Picos. To that extent as well, amazing showers after long days on the trail and super comfortable bed.
Best breakfast of our entire trip. We had everything a breakfast should have and more. Different king od breaks, yogurts, cereals, cheese and meats, fresh orange juice, coffee, pastries, potato tortilla, etc. Loved it.
The location is amazing, super close to the entrance of Lagos Covadonga and the Catedral. The staff was super nice.
The hotel has perfect location and a very nice old arhitecture look. All of the staff members are very friendly. We didn't try the breakfast in the restaurant because of the high price, but they have a cafeteria as well where you can have toast/sandwiches for a lower price.
Lovely small family-run hotel in spectacularly scenic location a short walk from Covadonga’s Cueva Santa and Basilica. We arrived late at the end of a 6-day hiking trip and the hotelier was very gracious and helpful. Our favorite hotel during a week in Northern Span.
Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.
A fine hotel, ideally located if you want to visit the lakes of Covalonga. It's a two-star hotel with a four-star hotel quality. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, rich breakfast.
