The range of eating places were great, eat a lot in the Grand National cafe, food was excellent. Also visited Benidorm Palace, food and entertainment was fantastic. Bars were very busy and noisy. Getting around was easy although we walked quite a lot. The route of the open top bus service could be better explained.

Benidorm is a location for a wide variety of travellers.
Benidorm is a location for a wide variety of travellers.
The Levante beach caters for people enjoying bars, entertainment and partying. This is where the image of Benidorm often comes from.
On the Poniente beach we stayed on it was quiet and peaceful. The old town is between the two beaches so you can always walk from one to the other in around 20 minutes.
A 20-minute taxi ride gets you to the Benidorm Palace which puts on a brilliant meal and show evening. We went in at 8pm and came out after midnight.
The taxi prices were also good and they're plentiful to take you home.
If you enjoy walking along a beach with occasional stops for coffee/ice cream then the Poniente beach is great. There are also a couple of loverly parks to walk in.
I'd recommend it for a holiday break.

We stayed for a group party and it’s a great spot for that purpose. Levante area is for youth and parties, whereas Benidorm itself is more cultural and for family stays.
Be careful of the beggars and pick pockets late at night when you’re drunk.

I would never have considered staying in Benidorm because of its reputation for tourists behaving badly. I am British and I know that the Brits have some of the worst reputation. I came with a friend who'd stayed the previous March to escape the British winter and she convinced me that staying in the old town would be ok. That did make a big difference to me, We were there for the Fallas which was interesting but also for St Patrick's Day which brought in a lot of boozy, badly behaved British and Irish so I kept well clear. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the beaches, especially Mal Pas which we loved. The proximity to the sea, the old town and the lovely places to eat were the highlights and I would thoroughly recommend Taberna Andaluza for great Spanish cuisine. For self-catering, the nearby Mercadona supermarket was very convenient. Benidorm was much busiier than I expected in March and my friend said it had been much quieter the previous year. I thought the buses were very good value. I would avoid the area known as the strip where the worst behaviour tends to happen but walking along both beach fronts, the Poniente and the Levante was great for leisurely walking with lovely sea air, albeit perhaps too many people for strolling along comfortably.
The location, whilst on the strip and next to a lively bar, was all we could have wished for...couldn't hear any noise at all, and the new refurbishments were really tasteful. Food was tasty and plentiful, even for people like us who went for meals late. Rooms were cleaned and tidied daily to a high standard, and I was pleasantly surprised when I was left a bottle of fizz for my birthday.
The 25% discount card for several local bars was an added bonus.
Well done to all concerned... a well-run hotel that I would definitely recommend.
We loved our stay here! It exceeded my expectations! The staff was amazing, they made us feel so welcome and they where so friendly! The room is good size, comfy beds and a great bathroom, such a comfortable room. It was also quiet and had a nice balcony. Guest can also use pool and facilities at the sister hotel just across the street witch was amazing! Location is also great, quick walk to old town and the beach! I would definitely stay again next time in Benidorm!
Quiet location in the old town. Room excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Towels changed daily. Safe included. Staff speak Spanish and English. Beach just a couple of hundred metres away. Some excellent restaurants nearby. Very safe.
Star of Hotel Castillo is Fred. He was so helpful and caring. Went out of his way to show us to a fantastic tapas restaurant and arranged an out of hours breakfast when he found we were leaving early. Benidorm must be proud of Fred.
Excellent location, in centre of Old Town around the corner from Tapas Alley, easy for both sides (Levante & Poinette) of Benidorm. Hotel was clean, Rooms a little tired, but it added to the character, and was more than functional. Breakfast was more than adequate, staff, very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay again.. 👍🏽👍🏽
Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. The food was good, with a varied choice. The The location of the hotel was good for us as it is in a fairly quiet part of Benidorm, however, the beach and promenade were only 5-10 minutes walk away and the bustling streets of old town were about 10-15 minutes walk.
The location was absolutely perfect, right on the beach and only a short walk to the old town or the new town. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of good quality food. Our room was perfect, we had a room at the front of the hotel with full sea view. We felt that the hotel was well worth the price we paid.
Don't expect a 5* hotel on a 3* budget. Having said that, we found it to be good value for what we paid..
Close to Benidorm old town and the beach. The hotel was clean and generally well maintained.
All the staff were helpful.
The breakfast was a buffet style, English and continental.
the property is located right on the front, in a quiet location away from the busy centre of the new town. there was everything we needed and more in the property, spacious and clean.
I will definitely book again and recommend to anyone looking for an apartment in Benidorm.
Close to beach. The whole hotel has a very simple but contemporary zen aesthetic. Luxury toiletries. Better than average breakfast. Staff were really pleasant and professional. I would return here if I choose to come to Benidorm again as it's good value for the amenities.
Great location in a quiet and to us the best side of Benidorm. Beach access down the street took us only a five minute walk. Beautiful property, nice to have private parking. Great balcony, kitchenette, comfortable bed, and sofa. Patio furniture is very nice.
This is a fantastic hotel in a perfect location minutes from the old town. The staff were exceptional and this would always be my first choice if visiting benidorm again. Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
The best point about this room is the location, great central, walk on the street old benidorm, the location is excellent and literally walk onto old benidorm, beach 5mins,coffee shop, try Shirley's English pub..breakfast great...faultless.. location
The hotel was very clean. The rooftop terrace is lovely and the breakfast was really good.
Location is good, not far from the beach but I think if we were to go back to Benidorm again we would like to be closer to the old town.
This hotel is absolutely fab ! Excellent location and staff are excellent and really helpful. The food choice is excellent and steak pie to die for 😎. One of the best hotels in Benidorm I will be back.
this hotel is very good position for the old town of benidorm and the beaches. the room was a good size and very clean. the breakfast offered both continental and an english and very good choice .
Comfortable well located hotel, perfect for Benidorm Palace and the Levante beach. Breakfast was comprehensive and the buffet selection was kept hot and not tepid as in many other hotels.
The hotel was situated very close to old town and in walking distance from new town. The beach was in full view from the hotel room, it was clean, tidy and very warm.
Staff were exceptional, couldn't have been nicer and extremely helpful. Hotel Internacional is very central in Benidorm old town, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it
Clean modern hotel 15/20 mins walk from Benidorm old town, and around 50mins from Cala. Id say it feels more like a city hotel that is fine for a few nights.
This hotel had everything we needed and was very central to shops and beach in the old town.lovely staff clean premises and a pool area/cafe for relaxation
