Da Nang has been our favourite destination so far on our trip. It way exceeded our expectations on all fronts. Bars and restauarants are plentiful and there's plenty to suit every budget. Beach is awesome, sea is a lovely temperature. Everyone seems very friendly, and it feels very safe to walk around, day or night. Grab cabs/bikes are plentiful and super cheap, and the Dragon Bridge is a sight to behold on fire breathing nights...not to be missed. Take in Hoi An from a DaNang base, also an awesome place to visit. If you're coming to Vietnam, don't miss out on this part of the country, you won't regret it!

Each to his own but very little grabbed us. We consistently had problems with evening dining- at 3 venues they made stupid errors and neglected to offer any fix. I appreciate one was a language issue and we took no offence the other two were not. Even so if you want the tourist dollar you have to be able to meet service and language demands. There was no problem in any other of the 4 locations on the trip….not to mention the pea soup of smog, it eradicated any interesting views.

Da Nang is a beautiful places nice people although most of them could not speak English and they uses google speaks for translation that's enough has long as we are contented with the hitel service as well as our Grab driver whom we book through out our stay for 4D and 3N his name is Van Cau. I suppose most tourists who visit Da Nang will visit Hoi An (nice place, don't miss it) and Bana Hills (fun when weather is good. But it rains often then it is no fun). A little further will be Hue. Locally in Da Nang, the highlight is the dragon bridge fire-and-water spitting show on Saturday and Sunday evening 8 pm. Cafe is everywhere. Koreans words and koreans are everywhere. The Son Tra night market is interesting.

Having spend more than one month in Da Nang, the beachfront...
Having spend more than one month in Da Nang, the beachfront and along the Han River were the areas I have visited the most. There is a huge number of places to eat your favorite dishes. Go for it and discover the various kitchens the city has to offer. The city is flat, walkable, learn how to cross the road local style. Da Nang has a rich culural and social activity. You have to go at 5am-7am along the beachfront and you will understand. Da Nang has many beatifull neighborhoods, outside of the tourist areas. Do not miss the show on the Dragon Bridge Fri-So. 9pm!

We booked a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony. Breakfast was included and was outstanding! The hotel is a 5 min walk from the beach and a short scooter ride or walk to the Dragon bridge. We rented a scooter from the hotel, which was very affordable and explored the area across the bridge. Amazing coffee shops and food. Highly recommend The Memory if you are planning to visit Da Nang.

It was clean, comfortable huge beds and fresh towels. Reception staffs and housekeeping staffs were good, kind and helpful. If you're paying with credit/ debit cards at the hotel there will be additional charges. There are shops, cafes and restaurants. To head to the beach takes 20 mins walk. Otherwise we had a good time in Da Nang!
