Alcala is a lovely friendly working Canarian town.
Alcala is a lovely friendly working Canarian town. Thankfully it has no noisy bars or discos. Restaurants seem to take turns when to open but that just adds to the authenticity. Great place for families with young children and for the older generation. Where else can you enjoy an elderly gentleman playing a piano on the beach accompanied by the waves! Please don’t change Alcala !
If you want seafood go to Casa Mon ,you pick your own from that days catch no fancy accompaniments just canarian potatoes or that days vegetables or salad . Had to stop ourselves from eating there every night.

If your after isolation from the wildly busy resorts then beautiful Alcala is for you. I had a rented car from the airport as it was cheaper to rent for ten days than return taxi fare.
Plenty of free car parking on public carpark only 1 minutes walk from accommodation. Same distance to the town square with its lovely restaurants and bars. Lovely beach area and easy access to safe swimming snorkelling paddling. Good facilities at accommodation for preparing food and plenty of convenient stores nearby.
The small town felt safe and no beach sellers around. Small cute town I say with lovely small streets and alleys with splendid buildings and views across the bay. Beautiful sunsets to be seen.

A very pleasant village.
A very pleasant village. Quiet and not a resort, but does service tourists who are not looking for extensive entertainment nor wall-to-wall eateries.
Hire a car to explore other areas - beware that some roads are very twisty. Monitor weather forecasts for northern towns before visiting - they can be wet and colder than Alcala.

Alcalá is a cute fishing town that has avoided the development of multiple large resorts. There are several authentic places to eat, but booking is essential. I highly recommend 2 Raices Steakhouse and Muelle Viejo Fish Restaurant. We felt safe in the town day or night. The rock pools were stunning and accessible, so staying in a location with a pool wasn't necessary.

Alcalá is a more a small town located on the coast than a holiday resort although there is a huge expensive hotel on the north side. Having said that there is a good selection of very moderately priced restaurants and bars in the town. Good bus connections up and down the west coast of Tenerife

All in all we were very happy.
All in all we were very happy. Staff did what they could, but only very few spoke English. Language is very important and I want to recommend that the staff can. Speak English.
We missed the spa for 4days, thay was a bit disappointed because we the spa was the reason we chosed this resort. Then sadly too late we found out it was closed most of the time we stayed there.
The large private roof terrace available only to the apartment with a mountain view was superb. The apartment was clean modern and well equipped.
We would certainly stay here again.
The owners were helpful and friendly.
There are several restaurants and bars close by and a large supermarket just 10 minutes walk away.
The small beaches and rock pools just 5 minutes stroll to the north are perfect for swimming.. There are several short coastal walks from Alcala to north and south .
Excellent bus services are easily accessible.
The location was fantastic. Beautiful views over banana plantation to sea and island of La gomera. Very quiet. Nice pool. We would drive into alcala in the evening and eat then walk back (15 mins). Then walk in to the town along the coast path, spend the day swimming and drive back before repeating...
Also worth driving up to tiede national Park and doing some marked walks. No need to pay to go all the way up or do orgainised excursions
The hotel is located at a calm and peaceful area surrounded by banana trees. The service from the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping was spectacular. The hotel offers free beds and parasols to the Red-Level guests, which was very convenient. In addition, there is a free parking lot to Red-Level guests.
The hotel also offers a refreshment lounge, including tapas, cold drinks and a coffee machine free of charge.
The Appartment is very central, close to the beach of Alcalá. Kitchen is well equipped, but you can't cook, just make salad or sandwich or something in the microwave. We could sleep well, because at night the main road was not so busy and quiet. We would not stay here for a week, but for 2 nights it was good.
Just what I was looking for perfect location, and the sun enters through the balcony to the whole house, Mari very attentive and something special that she attends her rooms like a hotel every day she is always cleaning that seems very good to me, super organized Thank you for everything
I love this place. The location is perfect. It's just next to the ocean, playas de la Jaquita are awsome. It's also near from Los Gigantes and the National Park of Teno. Alcalá is always sunny. It's very calm and there's a fridge, table and chairs in the room which is very handy.
Price was much below similar properties around, making this one very attractive even if the apartment feels outdated on some parts (such as worn out water taps or wardrobe doors).
Good location, close to main road and Alcala beach.
Owner Rudi, great to talk with.
Not too much, the architecture and scale of the hotel is impressive, and I enjoyed the sunset on the terrace outside of the Italian restaurant, also the size of the room was spacious & the overall appearance of the hotel is impressive (but at at a distance)....
The facilities are great: the main pool is exceptional and the overall hotel architecture, design, and interiors are really good. Reception staff is also efficient and extremely professional, satisfying all possible needs for the customer.
Located just outside Alcala in a lovely quiet location. Peaceful and relaxing. Good size rooms with lovely balconies overlooking La Gomera and the sea. Dolphin and whale watching trip was fantastic. Good local restaurants.
No breakfast provided. Location was very good, Alcala lovely Canarian town, beautiful coastal walks, easy access to sea - perfect for snorkelling or scuba. Close to Los Gigantes and boat trips.
Check in was delightful, the best check we have experienced - and we stay in a lot of hotels. Breakfast, the coffee and snack corner plus the 5-6pm drinks and food selection was excellent.
Everything was awesome, it was one of the best vacations we ever had! Great hotel, excellent staff, delicious food, amazing views, every night there’s some fun activities in the hotel.
