Born of an ancient civilization, Cairo is a vast metropolis centered around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.
The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including finds from Tutankhamen's tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.
East is Islamic Cairo, home to the 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk (remember to haggle). The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.
If you need a break from cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.
Before heading to your Cairo accommodations, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

Cairo is one of the best cities I have ever seen.
Cairo is one of the best cities I have ever seen.
It is characterized by the historical attractions that takes you back in time and keeps you wondering. I was surprised by the fast progression that the country has reached . Its is easy to get around by public transport especially by metro . I recommend Sobhi kaber restaurant in Shubra if you want to try Egyptian traditional cooking as well as Villa Caracas, Maadi for middle eastern food . I stayed at 3 hotels , Triumph Eileen and Cleopatra Tahrir they were all great. Visiting The Pyramids, musiums , walking around down town cairo and trying Nile short cruise can be the for solo traveller .

There are so many places to visit, I went to the Old Cairo Musuem and walked from the hostel to Al Azhar park (40LE entrance fee) passing lots of markets and shops, sadly due to Ramadam, finding a place to eat during the day was difficult and if a place was open, the menu was restricted to a few items. It is currently safe and locals are pleasant, some beggars on the streets, you dont have to give money, because if you start you will not stop-but 1-2LE was what the locals were given to some beggars.
Uber to the pyramids was 300LE, you dont need a guide, read up on what you will see before hand.

Cairo' s history is amazing, unfortunately the tourist areas are poorly managed and dirty.
Most locals are desperate to make a quick buck off tourists.

Overcrowded city, crazy traffic and driving habits of locals,...
Overcrowded city, crazy traffic and driving habits of locals, very young children sitting right beside roads with busy traffic. Many dogs and cats walking around, but all friendly. Streets are dirty, seems never cleaned, I have seen police patrol cleaning their car and chucking rubbish from boot on the street. Constant beeping on the main streets. This is first impression and shock. But in few hours all this you wouldn't notice because will get used to it. Good friendly people, some beggars approach, but it is their job, ignore and go your way.I was scared to go anywhere with my kids at the start, but when I walked, all was good and safe.In Europe in some cities you wouldn't be able to walk normally. Here nobody tried to steal something or frightening with any weapon, nobody tried to attack or anything like that.Everything was safe , nice and cultured. We tried koshery(we all enjoyed), stuffed pigeon (very little something to eat, probably breast only), grilled quail, was good and delicious.Uber taxi is very good way to travel around city.we stayed only for one day so can't say more then I already have said. Don't be scared to go to Cairo,it is different to what we(my family) get used to,but it is great experience and adventure anyway and most importantly it's safe
It is so convenient to the airport, there is an elevated walkway from the hotel straight into the terminal, once in the hotel you are effectively in the airport, so perfect for early or late flights, very reassuring.
All the comforts and convenience of a 5 star plus hotel but at an exceptional price.
Big comfortable room with lovely clean bathroom and a view over Ciaro / pool.
Wonderful facilities, bathrobes, slippers, safe, iron, hair drier etc.
Mezzeh restaurant serves best Lebanese food I have ever had - delicious.
Very helpful staff
We had the most amazing stay at Pyramids View Inn. As a group of 5, we booked three rooms for two nights. The location is amazing and the views superb, ability to walk to shops and restaurants, breakfast on the rooftop with delicious.
The Pyramids View Inn is in no way a 5 star hotel. It is basic accommodation with basic amenities. What it lacks in "class" it makes up for in authenticity and I highly recommend it for people with a sense of adventure wanting a true Egyptian experience close to everything Giza has to offer.
Very nice hotel , lobby decoration makes you feel you are in Egypt ! with excellent location ,
Hotel staff is really kind , helpfull and friendly Specially Mohamad at front desk . He helped us to arrange transfer from Cairo airport and also tour to Piramids with spanish guide.
Great location if you want to stay near Piramids . We've got the best view from our balcony .
I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Cairo .
location is very good close to airport and big shopping malls in Cairo
Staff Staff Staff: all staff were very professional and pleasant to deal with which very hard to find in Cairo!

Very nice hotel with the best friendly staff.
I came in the night time and they gave me very cute clean room in Egyptian pyramids style.
In the morning l had tasty breakfast with the amazing Pyramids view. The hotel has two restaurants flours, so you can see the nice views from both of them.
Also the price was good. I am satisfied from all.
Anytime the staff was ready to help in any questions. Thank you very much :)
The hotel is amazing, and the view was unbelievable
The most beautiful view I have ever seen in Egypt.
The room was so comfortable and nice . The location of the hotel is one of the best locations.
Special thanks to the professional guest relations officer Nardin, who was very helpful and polite.
And many, many thanks to Mr. Ashraf, who welcomed us . He was a kind and polite person
Of course I recommend it
The hotel is located in downtown Cairo, amazing location and close by to most tourist attractions. the staffs are polite, the guest relations manager Nevine was an absolute delight, she made sure our stay was comfortable. Our first room had some problems so she upgraded us to a better room. The hotel has many restuarants and its own shopping complex, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, spa….overall one of the best 5 stars.
It was a dream to visit Egypt I cried two times one time when I saw the pyramids from the room view and second in front of great Giza pyramids …. Thank you for the hotel make for me nice trips with cheap price cause I was have low budget and they offered for me a nice room and nice food breakfast and WiFi was good I always using for my work and staff were very helpful and friendly ..I give them 10 on 10
Location is very accessible, staff are friendly, price is reasonable, very near to Egyptian museum and souvenir shops, just beside KFC and some restaurants. There is also money changer nearby.
Breakfast is good 👍
The tours in the hotel are cheaper than online booking.
There is heater in the shower and my room is quiet at night.
I will come back to this hotel if I am visiting Egypt again. 👍
The view is stunning, the staff professional and friendly and the location was perfect. Evening meals are good but within fifteen minutes walk there are several large restaurants, Egyptian, Chinese and Italian too. The hotel is on a busy street and there is some noise even on the 11th floor, but it all adds to the experience.
Best piramids view and the location was Very convinient. The Staff was trying to take care of the us and make our time pleasant. The owner was very generous. The Hotel is great and You feel very Safe in it.
PS: The water pressure and the temperature are fantastic comparing to 5 star Hilton Hotel.
Fabulous hotel, welcoming staff it's a family business ' i was there for the last night before i back home , sayed did the best to show me the hidden gem places i was so excited and shocked that Egypt have amazing places not common for everyone
Thank you blue scara team' i will back in may
Location, everything is next to you or by taxi for less than 10 minutes drive
Staff, special thanks to Noha from reception she made our stay a memorable stay by all means
Facilities including restaurants, pool and rooms
Everything met our expectation as always from four seasons hotels
This is a typical airport hotel, okay if you have a quick layover, need a quick meal and a place to sleep but nothing fancy or special about the property. Location is perfect and a free shuttle every 30 minutes so that is the best part. I stayed 2 separate times and it did the trick.
The place is clean and comfortable
Staff very humble and helpful
Security at the entrance available at any given time.
Price is cheaper comparing to other hotels
Location is close to malls and restaurants and airport is about 15 mins away or less
Friendly staff , helpful , good receptions , bar , restaurants ! a good alternative to the meridien airport hotel, which is getting often too expensive . So i decided to the first time for the Radisson . Will come back
Conveniently located between Airport and Downtown this hotel was a very nice place to spend our last night in Egypt. Very helpful staff and easily arranged late checkout for one of our rooms. Very rcommended.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable
Personnel was amazing. Proactive and friendly
