Sandnessjøen is one of the most ugly cities in Norway. The architecture is a catastrophe. And with the nature they have surrounding the city it could have been so nice but those who built the city never understood that.

Clean and tidy, good breakfast, mostly helpful staff, especially in the restaurant and bar. There isn't much competition in Sandnessjøen for decent accommodation, and the pricing seems to reflect that there is little else to choose from. I thought it was a lot of money for the experience compared to prices of similar hotels in larger locations.

Modern large hotel next to the harbour, the staff were good and helpful and I could also park my motorbike at the front of the hotel in a safe place. The room was large modern and clean. We ate in the hotel every night as the food was excellent as was the beer! The breakfast was a large buffet and was also excellent.
