A very good base for a couple of days at Legoland (10-15 minutes away) if one travels by car. The surroundings were green and pleasant; the room and facilities quite good. The hotel is arranged like a US motel building, all at ground level. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.

Breakfast was so good and fresh. Many breads, meats, jams and fresh squeezed OJ. Good tea and coffee with many pastries that were so delicious. Unfortunately dinner wasn't. Dinner was also very expensive. They try and pressure you to book a table ahead but the tables were empty every time we went by.
Rooms were a good size, comfortable and clean and quiet. Very close to Billund. I would go back..

Came here with my lad for Lego and Lalandia. Was a short easy drive to these as we had hired a car Host was lovely and welcoming, and helpful when we asked. Family room was roomy enough, had a tv and nice en-suite. Was clean throughout. Opposite supermarkets and had a kitchenette so cooking was easy.

Grindsted was small and lovely to explore for an understanding of what the lifestyle is like in this part of Denmark. We walked through the nearby church's beautiful memorial garden. The Hostel was an interesting property to explore and we appreciate its donation for families to have affordable holidays. We didn't meet any staff member as we arrived outside of the staffing hours, but everything was well-sign-posted so we encountered little difficulty in collecting the key and information. We stayed in Room 14 and had use of the loft kitchen which was very clean, airy and had the best-equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in a hostel - lockable personal fridge, cutlery and storage space!!!SG ChiaSingapore

Every room has assigned fridge with the locker what is very convenient when you share the kitchen with others. The playground areas is also very nice and my kids spent most of the time over there. Great place to stay when you spend vacation on Denmark and want to visit near by attractions (Legoland, Lalaland, Lego House). There are also some shops i.e. Lidl, Aldi, Netto which are in a walking distance from Danhostel.

The house is clean and we had access to a kitchen where we could cook meals, making our stay convenient.
