It's a dead city that bored the hell out of me :) Thankfully, I was only there for business. The people are nice; the city is clean and efficient, as you would expect from Denmark. Perhaps more exploring would be good, and in the summer or spring, visiting beach areas may be more pleasant.

Very nice small sea town with nice architecture, a beach to have a walk, a port and a ferry connection to Fano island , which is a MUST
For cheaper food I would recommend street market almost at the market square Chinese takeaway was delicious
The beach is quite a walk from the centre

The shopping is excellent with plenty of choice.
The shopping is excellent with plenty of choice. There is a good selection of places to eat. All the Danish people we met were very helpful, friendly and polite - a credit to their nation.
Esbjerg is very well signposted for the walker and driver; we did not use public transport so am unable to comment on this.

Good place to base yourself if you want to visit Wadden Sea National Park or surrounds. Bird watching opportunities and interesting museum on the northern outskirts of town. Also a war grave ceremony from WW2 across the road from the Maritime museum (through the little forest), which includes allied and German graves, and sadly, graves of German refugees who fled to Denmark at the end of the war.

Nice harbour town with brisk west coast weather.
Nice harbour town with brisk west coast weather. Driving in the city was easy, and the town appears relatively clean and well maintained. Would have loved to linger longer and explore activities at the harbour.

A fantastic town for shopping, eating drinking and meeting people.
Really enjoyed the short break and to have eaten at two places suggested for evening meals, La Bamba’s Mexican restaurant and Det Arabiske Køkken. Both places are cosy, comfortable with friendly staff, serving veggie/vegan food and now come highly recommended by myself.
Great location being so close to both Esbjerg & the airport and fantastic service. I required a bit more detail on the surrounding facilities and Ann was a great help. I asked for a late checkout and this was no problem at no extra charge. Can't fault the hotel and I'd definiately stay here again.
Unacceptable service
Landlord never answered the calls
Key box information provided to collect the key was incorrect and we couldn’t get in.
We had stay at the lobby of some other hotel over the night because all other hotels were fully booked
I will never recommend this apartment to anyone
It was so lovely, tasteful flowers everywhere, friendly reception, very nice breakfast available. Easy to go north or south by bus or walking.
It is walkable from the station, but best to catch bus, no. 12 or others, ask driver for 'Swimming Stadion Denmark'stop, and look for big waterslide.
We couldn’t stay in the house because the house was dirty .Nobody clean the house before we came. The smell inside was horrible. We spoken about that on the telephone with call centre and told them that we took some pictures and we will leave the house. We went to a hotel instead.
What I like is that the view from window is amazing from balcony, although not the sea view. And the room is clean, nice, the bed, OMG, so soft and cozy, don't even wanna get up, LOL.
In addition, the breakfast is so tasty, and the lady in the restaurant so nice and friendly.
A fantastic sleep, A great room with a view across the main square. I really wanted to stay a bit longer but sadly had to depart the hotel for work stuff elsewhere. Restaurant/bar food was delicious and the girls/staff definitely looked after me.
Reviewed this Hotel as I have stayed many times its in a great central location but it is basic. Its a cheap and cheerful , staff are very nice and close to loads of places to eat.
This Bed&Breakfast is lovely, very well located (in the center of the city), the rooms we had were big and comfortable, and Birgit is friendly and answered emails very quickly.
The location of the hotel is very good. Close to the town center and to the railway station and bus terminal.
They have renovated an old town house building.
