The guest house was clean and well managed. Our hosts were friendly and the location was exceptionally beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the farm, seeing the sheep, Icelandic horses and sheep dogs. Using the common kitchen was a way to interact with the other guests and find out what was good to see in the area.

There are 2 Reyhkolts in Iceland and this is the more westerly one (the other is on the Golden Circle to the south). We visited Vidgelmir, the lava tube, and it was fabulous! It's cold inside so dress warmly. The guides were all geologists who specialize in this kind of formation and were knowledgeable about both geology and the history of the tube. Krauma geothermal baths and restaurant: the baths were expensive and we didn't go but the restaurant served great food (also expensive as is all food in Iceland).

The place has character, a perfect mix between being in the country side and having comfort. The breakfast was a traditional breakfast. Do not compare it with a buffet breakfast at big urban hotel, but it was perfect for the situation, and there were plenty of food and variety that everyone should be able to find something of their likings. The bed was very good, with crepe beddings (my favorite). We will go back there again another time.
