Like a postcard it’s so pretty alone the harbour, and from the harbour round to the beach it’s gets better worth the trip.
Torquay not that far by train from London, take the trip if you can.
I went by train to Plymouth for the day which was great another beautiful place. Only wish I had longer time to spend there.

I am unhappy the once-packed theatre is not in use as much now. We used to have great acts on but sadly no longer it seems.
Torbay is always a pleasure to visit its usually warm and lots of visitor attractions.

Some extensive modernisation of the seafront area taking place which creates delays when driving in the seafront area, but it has to be said the seafront is in need of an 'upgrade'...it looks a bit tired and the main shopping street has obviously suffered 'post covid' as most shopping areas have. Having said that the seafront walk is fabulous with views across to Brixham.

We mainly like the area for being able to walk into Torquay centre and Into Paignton along the path with the sea in view.
Torquay Gluten free fish and chips served by Pier point near the bay , on the front and Paignton cafe called the Shoreline on the sea front served a lovely Gluten free pizza with a great sea view .
Easy to get around from one town to another as they have a regular bus and if aiming further afield they have a train station in Torquay.
There are road works in the middle of Torquay centre ,so best to skirt around the centre if driving.

There is a lot of building and refurbishment going on around the harbour. It's clear a lot of time and money being spent to make it a better area. Parking is a problem, with limited car parks and on street parking. But using public transport and the south west coastal path means you can leave the car. Make sure you practice hill starts before you travel to torbay.

Torquay is a pleasant town, but blighted at the moment by big road works on the sea front, which look set to go on for a while. I think it is a good place for a holiday though with good sandy beaches.
lounge 6m x 4m. hot and cold water pressure excelent. excelent view of torquay beach and prom. free parking, overflow within 40m (paid long stay). 'Rock Walk' opposite Hotel entrance, do not miss it. Torquay beach 100m over a footbridge avoiding traffic. 10 minute walk to harbour and town center. Plenty of room inside and out. Breakfirst choice should cater for 99% of people. Would have extended my stay but they were fully booked. great place to stay if you want to enjoy visiting Dartmouth, Totness, etc; etc;
Location is quite good, 15 mins walk to centre. Ok, the hotel is old, but it was clean. Beddings and towels are perfectly clean, the bed was very comfortable. They accept dogs. No parking or dog fee as they mentioned previously which was great. Hotel room was very big. Suitable for families. Other hotels are double priced. For couple of days, great choice.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to Torquay's main shopping streets. Free on-site parking or, if that's full, in the street outside. Friendly, welcoming proprietors. Large, clean and comfortable room with ample supply of tea/coffee. Fast Wi-Fi in the room - 28Mbps up/down. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay there again.
