South cave is a beautiful little village, every garden seems to be well kept. The people are very friendly and there are some lovely cafes with home cooked food at a very reasonable price. A mystery person makes woollen toppers for the post box, it was a dragon when I went and it apparently gets changed every few months. There are plenty of beautiful walks you can take around the areas.

    Nice location.

Nice location. The parts of the building I visited, restaurant, lodge, bar, reception, we're all in need some TLC. It wasn't good value for money. We paid £70 per night and Imo wS vastly over priced.

South Cave has a couple of pubs and a few shops, it's a very pleasant and well kept large village. Then there is Cave Castle. The grounds of Cave Castle are splendid and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The hotel has ample free car parking and a wonderful SPA, which you can use the pool, steam room & sauna free when staying at the hotel.

    It's a castle, that's the main attraction.

It's a castle, that's the main attraction. It's best to have a car but access by taxi to Brough then train makes for adequate travel connections. The breakfast is good. There is same day laundry service available.

The staff in this hotel make it so special. The manager John was exceptionally helpful and so friendly. The staff were very busy and it was Christmas Eve but that didn’t stop them being really cheerful and friendly. All staff were just lovely and went out of their way to look after everyone. The food is exceptional and excellent value for money as well.

Most of it was great , the hotel was nice , comfy beds, staff was friendly, unfortunately we got there a little late and one of us wasn’t feeling too well either , but was a shame to waste it so we decided to go ,wish we had a bit more time to spend there as really looked nice and the grounds and gardens looked nice to walk around.

Lovely looking building and nice communal areas. Plenty of free parking. The food at the bistro cafe was brilliant and i thought well priced - esp the kids meal. Fish (beer battered fish and chips) was one of the best i have ever tasted. Hotel provided towels and woggles etc for family swim. Breakfast was good. Clean.

We loved the hotel as a whole, set in a beautiful village. The spa facilities were excellent and the breakfast was very tasty. There isn't too much in walking distance of the hotel but very easy to get to hull and Beverley. The bedroom was huge and Definitely exceeded expectations

We arrived at the hotel in the dark and it was stunning with all the lights on, it looked very grand. All the staff were very friendly & polite. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very nice but the menu was very limited. The breakfast was excellent.
