Small English town, nearby Sheffield. It's a good place to visit if you wish to see how real people in England live. It's nothing like the big cities. However it's not a place I would stay for more than 1 night...Few hours stop at most.

I stayed in the centre.
I stayed in the centre. Driving in the outer areas had nice three bedroom semi-detached houses type properties. In the centre more terraced houses.
Lots of shops, quite a lot of retail park area in the centre.
An Aldi next to an Asda, a large Tesco Extra a mile away. A McDonald's restaurant with drive through, a Burger King, a bridge where underneath you see River Don with swans if you are fortunate.
Some parts a bit dull, few less nice houses amongst some terraced houses.
A nice mosque in the central area.
Petrol seems a lot cheaper in central areas where they compete with supermarkets than outer areas like Rawmarsh where they have less competition.
Town has population of around 260,000.

Well did not go sight seeing, needed some where over two nights, due to Darts competition at the Magna centre. But due to the so called studio apartment upset me and the wife, and found a travel-lodge in Sheffield instead.
As the Brentwood is in one of the most salubrious areas of Rotherham, I assumed the hotel would be particularly special. The staff could not be faulted, neither could the overall value for money, however, the room did not live up to expectations, nor did the communal areas of the hotel. We realise that as far as hotel prices go, we paid very little for our room so, on the whole, were pleased with our stay. The beds were especially comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too.
A newly renovated hotel, always room to improve. Clean room. Everything is new in there. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Any issues get solved right away. Walkability is excellent, really good restaurants & takeout spots nearby. I highly recommend this place. I have family in Rotherham. I will definitely stay here again.
This was a great place to stay overnight & was close to the venue we were attending. It was clean & the room very spacious. Our room was round towards the back of the property so was very quiet & private, we would stay here again if we were in the area & it was very decent priced & the staff very friendly.
Nice to have a pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi at the hotel. Hours were quite flexible as well, and no restrictions on children timings which we appreciated.
Buffet breakfast was good, and children were well catered for both in terms of food and a play area/small tables in the restaurant.
Great hotel which is set out so nicely. Great bar and eating area and managed to eat breakfast in the garden which was a nice plus.
Staff where really helpful and made you feel at home. I will definitely revisit when
working in the area again. A hidden gem !
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was cleaned regularly and towels changed etc.
Within walking distance of Rotherham town centre but bus service if required. Shop nearby.
Continental breakfast available.
Price of room very reasonable
Full English breakfast was excellent, had only booked room and breakfast and cannot fault either, staff were friendly and very helpful, would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay again next time I am in the area 😀
Very cosy boutique hide away hotel, bar had reasonable drinks prices and car parking locked up at night. Centre of town location was good. Room was small my adequate. Staff very well presented and helpful
The location was close enough to walk into the town centre.
Plenty of free parking as it is accommodation BEHIND the actual hotel. Possibly originally hospital accommodation??
The room was very clean.
beautiful location, lovely spacious and comfortable rooms, staff are great and the food is beautiful, will definitely be staying again. Great location close to magna centre and town centre
carlton park hotel is very clean, there is a lot of parking space the staff is so helpful at all times even in the night they are always available to assist guests.
Always use the Ibis good location and excellent value. We use it when traveling to North Yorkshire or visiting our family in Rotherham . Staff really helpful .
Nothing it was not a hotel no reception more like a bail hostel for people fresh out of prison, area was rough no parking I would avoid like the plague
