Didn’t get chance to see more than the park but it was worth the stay just for that. We were visiting for a sporting event nearby and we were perfectly situated. The surrounding area looked lovely, very green and clean. Walking in London and seeing wild deer is a must

Unfortuately weather put bit of dampener on brief visit. Great to see Ted Lasso pub (ate there in evening) and various locations. Nice food in hotel bar. Had walk around area but nicer if weather was better.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. Loads of lovely small back streets with unique shops to wander down. Loads of places to eat out. Views from the bridges were amazing. Everything once parked up just seemed within walking distance.

We liked the restaurants and cafés.
We liked the restaurants and cafés. There are many interesting places to visit nearby. We enjoyed Syon Huse, Osterley House and the London Wetland Centre. It's an easy train journet to Waterloo Station for Central London. I wouldn't want to live under the Heathrow flight path.

We have visited Richmond many times before and twice passed through it on long distance walks. It is a town full of character and, for walkers, ideally situated between Richmond Park, with its herds of deer and flocks of squawking green parrots, and the famous Kew Gardens. We loved having breakfast at the Hollyhock cafe, situated in the town park above the river. Just a little upstream, lies the National Trust's property of Ham House. Always worth a visit.

The people that run the property are fabulous, some of the nicest people anywhere, also, this is a pub hotel, enjoy a beer or cider while checking in. We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning and it is included but we ate dinner there both nights that we stayed. The dinners were delicious and there was plenty of food. The location was also great, it is halfway between the train station and Richmond Hill Park. Listen to Pat for directions, he is very helpful. The room was large and everything worked.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and understanding of our multiple changes to the reservation dates. They worked with us on extending our stay and being able to stay in the same room the whole time. We appreciated the electric kettle, coffee, tea, milk, and extra blanket in the room. The hotel is right by the train station and close to shopping so that we could get around easily. It was a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was a lovely stay.
The location overlookng the Thames is beautiful.
The apartment is close to good restaurants and supermsrkets if you wish to cook in.
Richmond Station is a 10 minute walk away and has Underground Overground and National Rail Services.
Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, Richmond Park are close by as is Twickenham Stoop and Stadium for Rugby enthusiasts.. Central London is easily a accessible by public transport
Hampstead Heath is a short Overground trip away
The property was very comfortable. There was nothing I needed and it wasn’t available. The location was perfect for public transport. Literally opposite the tube and train station of Richmond. Two steps away from the river and the gorgeous greens. Very quite building and safe. The host was so quick to reply and accommodate instantly. I will have to be in London every two to three months and would book the same property again and always.
We took every advantage of the location to walk into the park. Really easy to get into central London which we planned. The service was top notch in the hotel. A perfect hotel for a weekend break.
My only question is the beds - if your small you'd best take a ladder. They are built for giants. I'm 6'2" and when seated on the bed I felt as if I'd shrank 🤣
We had breakfast in the hotel one day out of five. It was pretty good but overkill for what we needed. So many local cafes nearby to try too. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll to the Richmond high street and tube/overground station. An easy walk home from nights out in local restaurants or bars and great shopping nearby too.
The hotel is lovely. The location is great for walking into Richmond, along the river or to the railway station to get into central London.
The staff are very helpful. The room was in the older part of the hotel and was gorgeous, it is probably one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in, very impressive
OVER THE PAST 20 OR THIRTY YEARS WE HAVE NOT ONLY STAYED AT THE PETERSHAM HOTEL ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS UT HAVE ATTENDED COMPANY FUNCTIONS AND HAD ANNIVERSARY LUNCHES/DINNERS THERE. UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION ALTHOUGH THE ROOM WAS SUPPOSEDLY UPGRADED MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED
Perfect location to get into London. They call Richmond Londons' countryside. Travelled up from Cornwall M3 takes you right into Richmond. Parking facilities at hotel (pre bookable). Railway station has both overland and tube connections.
Nice vibe at the hotel. Lots of places to spend time with friends and family and great location.
The Columbian football team were there when we stayed. They must have been chuckling at the set up!
Good location not far from Richmond town.
Bus stop right outside the hotel to tube station to central London.
Rooms comfortable clean and good bed
Nice full English breakfast.
My favorite hotel in Richmond with real personality, friendly staff, unbeatable location for town, and great facilities. Family and friends stayed here multiple times.
