A thriving town with lots of independent shops to browse in, eateries & bars & the distillery. There are several museums & galleries. There are frequent drama productions. All the hotels were well signposted.
The scenery is superb with the River Tummel, lochside, woodland & mountain vistas.
Loch Faskally is absolutely stunning & Queens View is aptly named.
There are many walks available from Ben Vrackie 841m, to many waymarked walks in the forest parks. There is a great stroll down to the river & a nice park near the hotel.
Great for angling & cycling routes south of the river. The botany of the limestone outcrops is famous.

Lots of choices of restaurants / pubs.
Lots of choices of restaurants / pubs. Plenty of quaint shops on the high street. A good base for sightseeing. Short car journey from The House of Brewer. We stayed 1 night to break our journey up, so limited time to fully explore the area.

Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam.
Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam. We had more time this time, so walked down to the boats and enjoyed a lovely cuppa from the other side of the dam. There's a path that runs from the start of the dam (behind the car park) and around the side of the dam into a housing estate. Then walk down towards the Green Park Hotel.
You must take a trip to House of Bruar ! Fabulous shopping experience.

Pitlochry is a lovely small town with nice shops and lots of cafes and restaurants. There are lots of things to do from a visit to the lovely small theatre to the salmon leap. Loch Faskally is a lovely walk especially in the autumn and you can walk through the Pass of Killiecrankie to Queens view.
There are lots of places to stay within all price points.
Lots of wildlife such as red squirrels and lots of birds. Perthshire is famous for its golden and sea eagles. You can walk , cycle, white water raft nearby, great for all outdoor enthusiasts..
All in all it suits most people of all ages and intetests.
Friendly, helpful & welcoming staff which makes such a difference if you are travelling solo. The single room was spacious & quiet with a lovely view. I could even birdwatch out of the window!
The hotel is in a wonderful location above the town centre, with spacious grounds. Pitlochry is a great place to visit with a bustling high street, museums & walks. Absolutely stunning scenery & wildlife, including botany.
I particularly enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool this time. Lovely. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Absolutely delightful B&B - perfectly clean, comfortable beds, really nice bathroom with good shower. The breakfasts were amazing in choices, preparation and presentation. The owners were excellent hosts providing a friendly and happy stay. We appreciated their recommendations for evening meals and local sights to see. Lovely home and well cared for grounds. Everything was perfect. We could walk into the charming town of Pitlochry.
Lovely staff, very welcoming and accomodating. And the dog was such a cute addition too! The hotel is just 5 mins walk to the main road in Pitlochry, and easily accessible both via car and walk/public transport. Room was clean and the bathroom had a nice shower, a big bath and also heated floor. Tasty breakfast, and we particularly loved the fact that all the products were local, and the attention to sustainability was clearly visible.
We stayed at this hotel as we were visiting The Enchanted Forrest, the hotel was a few minutes walk from our pick up point which was perfect, rooms were spotless & very comfortable, the assistant manager (didn't get her name) was really welcoming & friendly, breakfast was the next morning was great with a great variety, ideal for families & will definitely book here on my next visit to Pitlochry
Just had a lovely weekend at the Craigvrack Hotel. It’s a nice family run hotel the rooms are comfortable, clean and the staff are excellent. Breakfast was lovely and well organised during the COVID restrictions. Nice outside seating are to have a drink from the bar in the sunshine. Location is up a hill but not too far from the Main Street of Pitlochry.
The public areas were very spacious, especially the breakfast room with a pleasing, open outlook onto the garden. The bedroom was also spacious with a good sized bathroom. There is a long tree lined drive into the hotel, however it took around 8 minutes to reach the Pitlochry main street.
Jackie was so kind and inviting! The room was nicely decorated and clean. I really enjoyed how updated the bath was and the location of the B&B to other sites in town. Breakfast was delicious and the space felt glamorous. We hope to come to Scotland again and stay at Rosehill.
Location in the heart of Pitlochry town. A short walk to all amenities. We were taking in a show at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and it was very pleasant and convenient to be able to walk there too. Our host kindly loaned us an umbrella as the weather wasn't great!
Tucked away in its own cottage garden paradise, but only a 5 minute drive from town center of Pitlochry. It had everything we needed for one night. Breakfast in the sunroom was incredible looking over the beautiful garden. Tori was so friendly and welcoming!
Was visiting from US and hadn’t been in Pitlochry for several years and requested a room with a view. Unfortunately I got a room with a view of the other side of the hotel ! I had a mental picture of the surrounding hills but saw stone and windows…..
From our welcome to Hotel then lovely clean accommodation Excellent Dinner & Breakfast could not fault anything Staff were very friendly & fantastic service throughout our stay Would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Pitlochry.
Quaint old inn in a scenic village setting not far from the centre of Pitlochry. Friendly informal atmosphere for good quality pub food with generous portions and ale brewed on-site. Decent breakfast with good porridge. Huge bed.
Fishers hotel is located on the main street in Pitlochry, and very easy to find. It was also the pickup point for the Enchanted Forest experience, so was very convenient. The complimentary drink upon check-in was a nice touch.
The property was lovely and modern. Very clean and comfortable. Two lovely bedrooms. One with en-suite. Very close to the high st in Pitlochry. Will definitely be back. James was excellent with his communication.
Lovely hotel with entertainment at the weekend ... Good food and very attentive staff ... Great bar and food service as well as helpful reception ... Pitlochry was a lovely place to stay for a couple of days
