We were too early in the year for a number of attractions unfortunately. Come after the end of March. However, the Black Watch Museum was excellent especially if in to military history. You can have a guided tour which is very very informative, excellent in fact.
The restaurant, Kisas, was very good.

A small/compact City.
A small/compact City. Historic and the New Museum is fantastic. There are many independent shops as well as the shopping centre. Plenty of good eateries and coffee shops.
well placed for walking or cycling the river has footpaths along it and is well maintained. A lively theatre/live event scene too.

We were in Perth for one night only to see the Dnipro Opera Company from Ukraine perform La Boheme at the city's concert hall. But the city is well known to us.
Parts of Perth are looking a little down at heel these days but it is still a pleasant city to visit with lots of facilities and good eateries.
We ate at the excellent Both3rs Italian restaurant before the opera. Good value and delicious food.

People are friendly, the mix of old buildings and modern ones are great, city centre could do with a big investment, lots of empty premises, if you want a haircut, nails done or a fast food takeout then you have plenty to choose from.

Like many towns and cities Perth has a lot of empty shops.
Like many towns and cities Perth has a lot of empty shops. Lots of cafes. All the usual shops in the town centre within easy walking distance. The station is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, Lots of car parking but not free; Look out for parking wardens ! Have to feed meters every 4 hours. Good food at the Salutation Hotel but lots of other places available.
We make this trip to Perth on a regular basis each year.We have previously stayed at another hotel, but this year opted for the Holiday Inn as a cheaper option. Have to say it was wonderful, clean, tidy, comfortable and the Staff were wonderful and welcoming. Will use the Holiday In , in future, no question.
I had broken down and was dropped off by recovery vehicle so just needed something close and available late at night. It met all requirements. I discovered that I was covered for a 1 night hotel stay by my car's roadside assistance. They accepted the price as being reasonable and repaid what I'd spent.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel! It was our favorite during our Eurotrip. The facilities were beautiful, its history is amazing (the oldest established hotel in Scotland); the breakfast was delicious. To use a skeleton key for the door was very cool. The staff was attentive and professional.
A very well appointed and presented small hotel . Good sized rooms and en-suite facilities. The manager was very friendly and could not have been more helpful. The choice, value and quality of the evening meals and breakfasts were excellent. The overall service was exemplary.
The breakfast was excellent. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and gave us the exact directions to the property before we arrived. Extremely well presented modern rooms and a quiet location. We would recommend this property to others and stay here again if in Scotland.
Very friendly owner. Couldn't do enough to make us comfortable and even let us watch England play in the quarter finals (in Scotland!) Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Good to have parking. Would definitely recommend
Hotel a little bit tired but warm and friendly staff. Breakfast was very traditional - black pudding; baked beans, bacon etc. Coffee was okayish and service was attentive. Toasters are pretty feeble.
Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Not just some of the staff, but everyone we met. From receptionist checking in, to every staff member we spoke to. All real assets to the hotel.
The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms we booked were clean and comfortable. The location was excellent right in the centre and close to all ammenities.
Very comfortable & spacious room - breakfast & dinner was excellent - loved the history & character of hotel - perfect for a night at Perth Concert Hall
Guest house appears to be run as an adjunct to the Grampian Hotel next door. The property met our expectation as a budget overnight rest place in Perth
