We had a really bad weather with hails and rain but every hour is train service to Derby or Matlock which offers wonderful Bars and Restaurants. Also if you an adventoures person plenty place to discover. We loved our stay. Hot swimming pool in 2C, its wonderful.

Matlock good central location to explore Derbyshire.
Matlock good central location to explore Derbyshire. My first trip to Derbyshire, found it lovely, lots to see and do, plenty of history, with variety of landscape. I would love to return for a longer trip.
It is a lovely cute cottage in a great location. Perfect for a couple. The bedroom was a good size and easily accommodated our two suitcases with plenty of extra room to walk around.
Only a short walk to Matlock town centre. Matlock itself was ideally situated for the activities we had planned in the Peaks/Dales. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. I especially loved the shower, bath and very comfy bed.
I just wish we could have stayed for longer!
Old, interesting and quite quirky Hotel in a great location. Our room on the top floor was spacious with a large comfortable bed. It also had a pleasant view, was well equipped and being high surprisingly free of road noise. Breakfast choices were pre ordered, served hot, extremely tasty and good ingredients. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful, the attraction discount voucher and 4pm -11am parking pass were very useful. Would happily stay again if returning to Matlock Bath.
This hotel is beautiful, the garden around it is so lovely and it all lit up in the evening. The staff are really friendly and the room was a good size with a lovely ensuite bathroom. It was so warm in the room with the radiators on all evening that we had the window open in February! The location is great, a quick 2 minute drive into matlock bath and it was all finished off with a really good breakfast.
Great location. It is a short walk down the road to the town and local restaurants/hotels. The station is even closer if you want to go to Matlock Bath to experience the Heights of Abraham or Cromford for the Mill complex. Arrive by train or bus to Matlock Bath and the cable car is discounted. This is a quiet location with welcoming hosts who provide a marvellous breakfast to order.
The hotel is well situated between Matlock and Matlock Bath, so in easy walking distance. The hotel owners are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in room 2 which was very spacious, we had a suite which had its own hallway with the bedroom to the right and shower room to the left. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the bar was well stocked.
High Tor was so great! I really wish we'd been staying more than one night! Perfectly located for two really nice little towns/villages, and beautiful, green views all around. The staff (owners?) at the hotel were absolutely lovely, and really helpful. So grateful to have found this place and would definitely stay again - hopefully for longer!
Beautiful cozy little home a short stroll up the hill from Matlock Town centre!
Spotlessly clean with a beautifully fitted out kitchen and bathroom - a perfect little place for a break from it all!
Excellent communication from Judith, the owner.
Can't fault and will definitely be back!
We had the kingside room which had a four poster bed with amazing views of the matlock castle. The bathroom was also very nice and very big with a walk in shower. The food in the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful and there was a wide range of local ales for sale.
Situated between Matlock and Matlock Bath and central for visiting the Derbyshire dales. Within a short walking distance from Matlock bath and it's facilities. Great if your a walker, with walks from door. Clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly hosts, and a great breakfast.
The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and obliging, nothing too much trouble. Our bedroom was spotless with a balcony overlooking the open air pool. Good choice at breakfast with a separate Gluten free area. Plenty of car parking spaces.
Would we go again, definitely.
lovely pretty cottage, lockable pantry which was brilliant as we had a disabled adult who eats too much. comfy beds, lots of towels, large shower. terrific views. very clean well equipped for dogs. Matlock is very dog friendly everywhere we went was dog friendly.
Right next to the theme park. Small resort so felt safe and relaxed. Clean rooms, nice views over the park and Matlock Bath. The bunk beds were great fun for our two daughters. Most food and beverage was reasonably priced.
Beautiful, well equipped, stunning views and amazing bath! Angela was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make our stay special, even arranging a little treat as we were staying for a birthday.
Stunning view across the valley, one of the best hotel views I've ever had, friendly happy reception staff, good location for Matlock Bath, beware the steep hill back though.
Hotel based at a Georgian house built by Arkwright of cotton mill fame. Refurbished and fitted out to a very high standand.
Friendly staff and goof food and facilitiies
