Lowestoft is a traditional seaside town. A beautiful beach south of the town, great for bathing, games and walks, and a beach north of the town that is more scenic but inaccessible due to the tides and ruined old sea wall. Loads of local attractions to visit including Africa Alive, the Transport museum, Sparrows Nest Park, Oulton Broad and Claremont Pier. Some great restaurants to eat at, but especially Sgt Peppers on the High Street. And being the most easterly place in the UK, make sure you get up early to see the sun rise. Spectacular on a clear morning!

Lovely seaside town with harbour and river interest.
Lovely seaside town with harbour and river interest. They have special hotels for the Kittiwakes out at sea and a colourful pier. Oulton Broad provides some lovely lake views and sunsets with boats and kids play park. It is a great destination for the family and only a short ride away.
Lowestoft has long promenade with cycle lane and gardens and nice cafes.
The beaches are stunning with golden sands and beach huts.
There is a good bus service around the coast to Southwold, a gem, and Great Yarmouth.

Interesting seaside town.
Interesting seaside town. South Beach was perfect plenty of places to eat. The town centre altho big seemed a bit tired but the beach and front area had a buzz about it. The port side of it made it interesting too

Lowestoft has lovely beaches and good pubs and restaurants.
Lowestoft has lovely beaches and good pubs and restaurants. However it was run down a bit and pubic areas could do with a good clean and a lick of paint. The place looked tired.
Children will love it, plenty for them to do.

Came to Lowestoft as a child and took my own children there
However the town centre seemed very run down and there was rubbish everywhere
The promenade however was very much the same as when we took our children some vandalism which is a shame
Did think the bike lane was good
Love the style of the bar and the hotel rooms.
Within walking distance from Oulton Broad North train station nearer than Lowestoft train station..
Beds comfortable, great room, good prices for room and in bar, drinks vouchers if staying in hotel..
Rooms beautifully decorated.. Location brilliant next to the river and other cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance..went on the boat trip, was lovely very scenic. Loved it our group enjoyed the weekend. Can't fault it. We will be back 👍😘
The location was amazing, right in front of the seafront. Caroline was so lovely, couldn't do enough for us and even had hot water bottles on offer...which I gladly took! The hotel felt really welcoming and friendly, it was like visiting family! Thanks to Andy who did us a lovely breakfast! We will definitely be coming back again and can't wait for our next visit, it's a lovely location with loads to do. Can't recommend enough! Thanks both!
We took the continental breakfast mostly, and it was generous, and a cooked breakfast once, and it was just as good. The owners were very helpful about facilities, transport and other dining possibilities in the area. Parking was easy, on the road just in front of the hotel. The honesty bar was well stocked and very comfortable. We would definitely go back to this hotel when visiting the east coast.
Good location as behind the main hotel which is on the seafront. The main hotel had nice decor, lovely coffee and cake, views of sunrise from public areas.
The hotel is very pleasing.
The room we had in the lodge was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
The TV was large and had a good picture.
Stayed for two nights for my wifes 75th birthday the hotel exceeded our expectations our superior room was really good great size very clean. All staff couldn't have done any more to make our stay any better real credit to the hotel. Good areas to walk our dog who was made welcome by all.
The hotel is in a good location for visiting the Suffolk coast, which is what we did the next day.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the view over the lawn (Room 1.) The full English breakfast was well presented, tasty and hot. We will be returning again at some point.
Cannot fault this hotel. The overall ambience is one of welcome and comfort. Food was delicious. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. They were all extremely helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer. The grounds are very pretty and lovely to sit in and relax.
Exceptionaaly clean hotel overlooking the south beach, attentive, pleasant and helpful staff. very good hot breakfast with plenty of options available. Nice roomy resteraunt and bar. Easy parking. the south side of lowestoft was lovely.
This hotel was perfect for my needs. I wanted a one-night stop over at a good price while I was working away from home. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again.
Nice breakfast and a high chair was even provided for our son which was a lovely touch. A wonderful location right on the seafront. A nice warm welcome and a very well presented hotel.
Another lovely stay at the Suite in the Best Western Hatfield Hotel. Amazing Sea views and great restaurant with fabulous outdoor terrace area with stunning views
Its a lovely traditional hotel with loads of history. Lovely inside and out. Easy parking. Close to beach. Close to Lowestoft centre too. Lovely hosts and staff.
Good hearty breakfasts. If you want to load up on carbs, it's all there for you. Lashings of tea and coffee at breakfast time.
A warm hotel wherever you are.
Good location, very friendly hosts, delicious cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend this B&B if you're visiting Lowestoft or the surrounding area.
