We had a lovely stay at Grange House B&B. The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable and we had a lovely night's rest. Breakfast in the morning included lots of fresh fruit which was delicious.
The host provided excellent directions so even though the place was in a relatively remote location, it was easy to locate.
Would be very happy to visit again.

En suite rooms are basic, but very clean and while not in the luxury class are ideal for my purpose - a quiet, comfortable overnight stay at a very reasonable price. Coffee and tea making facilities are available along with a wall-mounted tv.

A good location with free parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant made our stay very easy and the food was very nice. The place itself had a lot of character.
We had a lovely stay at Grange House. It was perfect location for an event the next day at Holme Pierre Pont. We were able to take our little dog and he was made to feel very welcome. Kevin recommended a local pub for an evening meal in the village of Lowdham called the Swan. The food and reception were excellent. We would certainly stay here again.

The host was charming, friendly and helpful. nothing was too much trouble.
The room was delightful, totally private and self contained and provided with everything - and more- that one could wish for on a relaxing break.
Right on the doorstep of some excellent places to eat and do some early Christmas shopping. Southwell, nearby, has a lot to offer

Took the missus for night as we booked a table at the Indian...
Took the missus for night as we booked a table at the Indian at Gunthorpe bridge which I highly recommend the food and service is excellent, where do I start, Springfield inn is a lovely place a nice set back area, couldn’t get a taxi booked on and never showed up, anyway, we were taken to the room and there was an infectious droning noise as we were above the kitchen- the blowers, we was told they’d go off at 9 , the woman that greeted us was lovely btw, then we cane home from our meal had a long day of travelling we wanted an early night and a night of a bit of passion, all we could hear was this droning noise, went down to ask them about it, the night manager replied “ I’m not turning my kitchen off till 10” I explained we’d had a long day travelling and I was tired and tetchy , she replied “ you should of thought about this before you booked above a pub” absolute disgrace of a women, wow, do not book , these blowers didn’t go off till 11pm!! Fire alarm went off twice and they came into room saying we don’t know which room is setting it off so we checking them all, who is running this place? Mickey Mouse of hotels , advise you to try loudham prison next door rather than here

Lowdham is a lovely little commuter village just 30 mins...
Lowdham is a lovely little commuter village just 30 mins drive from Nottingham. It has the best rated gastro pub in the whole East Midlands (The Railway), 2 other cosy and friendly pubs (The Ship and The World's end) and just 2 minutes further on in Caythorpe (left after the railway station) is another excellent gastropub (The Old Volunteer). Spoilt for choice regarding eating. People are friendly and the surrounding countryside is great for a gentle ramble. A relaxing place to be.
Fantastic place to stay. Separate from the house all of the rooms are in a recently refurbished out building. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, the room facilities are equal to a 4/5 star hotel and the the breakfast is excellent and, as vegans, very accommodating. We couldn’t work out how they were able to provide so much and turn a profit. My advise get booked before they realise and put the prices up! Great stay would stay again for sure.
The moment I walked in to The Springfield Inn, I thought, "I'll be happy here tonight."
A beautiful, old-world English coaching inn has that effect on me.
And I was happy.
The bed? Was among the best I've known. I lay down at 11pm and slept straight through till 8.30am. Sleep for me is the most important thing in a hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Do try the eggs benedict and the pain au chocolat. Both were perfect.
We booked The Old Ship Inn for its location - we were attending a gig in Lowdham - but it was also a lovely place to stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was well equipped and the bed very comfy. The pub was lively and we enjoyed drinks in the bar as well as food which was of high quality and very good value. We had expected continental breakfast but were offered full English which was a welcome surprise!
Three lads over for the weekend for a show at Newark showground, the place is a real credit to the owners it's easy to see how much hard work they have put into the place, it's so clean and tidy, the kitchen and bar staff are very friendly and the food was good, we can't recommend this hotel highly enough
Spotless accommodation with very comfortable stay. All brand new. Lovely breakfast. Very welcoming and lovely host. Private and safe accommodation. Very pleasant stay. Lovely refreshments in the room and bed was so comfy. The standards were very high, more like a hotel standard than a Bnb. Thank you.
Firstly the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The food, especially the pizzas and Sunday roast menu 9/10 so big shout out to the chefs!
Rooms are very clean and tidy with a 12:00 checkout. Also the breakfast for the hotel guests are top notch with an excellent choice to choose from.
Kevin and Ann Marie’s place is spacious, comfortable and immaculate and in a gorgeous rural setting which was perfect to walk our dog. Their hospitality was very welcoming and Kevin’s breakfast put 5 star hotels to shame .. amazing!
It was such a lovely little pub/hotel to stay in. The staff were all so welcoming and happy to help you. Parking was really good and ample of it behind the pub itself. Lovely location to the rover and lots of walks.
