Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a Grade I-listed gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.
Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.
As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.
The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.
On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodation on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

We loved all the magnificent old buildings that have been preserved, including the Town Hall, the Civic Hall, the Corn Exchange, the Kirkgate Markets and the wonderful shopping arcades. We had a delicious lunch in the very atmospheric Whitelocks, the oldest pub in Leeds. Park Square is a beautiful and tranquil space, surrounded by lovely buildings.

I have to admit that city life is not for me however for this event we travelled to Leeds to the Leeds Rhinos club. If you like a busy city with lots of places to see and things to do with friendly Northern people then Leeds is a city to visit.

Spent less than 24 hours in Leeds as part of visit to the university but what we saw we loved and are looking forward to seeing more of the city in future years. Had a great meal out in OBA kitchen and bar (Japanese/Korean fusion) and enjoyed a cheeky cocktail on the way home in Mowgli. Looks to have a very vibrant food & social scene. Spent a couple of hours in the daytime looking round the shops and the Victoria Quarter in particular was lovely. We'd been recommended the market but that was shutting down by the time we could get there. There is a lot of redevelopment going on so Leeds seems to be in a transformation which is making it a very attractive place!

Great city with a lively vibe.
Great city with a lively vibe. Managed to try out new restaurants and bars as they have so many good ones.
The restaurant choices are vast, just pick a cuisine and there will be choices of cost and location.
Superb for shopping as Leeds has 4 excellent shopping complexes in the city centre, and lots of smaller ones in between.
Particular highlight is the Leeds Corn Exchange which houses lots of small artisan businesses on 2 levels in a building with stunning architecture.

Only came to area for Leeds Arena. Served that purpose.
Only came to area for Leeds Arena. Served that purpose. Area we saw was rundown and congested with uni student accommodation. Roadworks everywhere. Lots of drunk uni students in city pubs came across various fights.
Everyone in the hotel team were really friendly & helpful. The room was excellent - very clean & a great size. We were on the top floor & there was hardly any noise, which is such a bonus for a city centre hotel. The breakfast selection was good & plentiful. The hotel is a mere 10 minutes easy walk from the station. I would definitely recommend this hotel & will stay there the next time I visit Leeds. Many thanks to the impressive Clayton Hotel Team for making our stay such a nice experience!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a large car park attached with free parking. The rooms were spacious and had good TVs. The best part was the breakfast which was very generous for the price, with an extensive buffet and hot plates serving delicious food. They were also very accommodating with dietary requirements. The hotel is just a 10 minute drive away from Leeds city centre.
location is ideal for city centre and arena, rooms are a nice size with good facilities, air con and comfortable beds, its also very quiet to say its next to a main busy road. staff are friendly and polite and breakfast that i had was very nice, parking with cctv attached payable to hotel. this would be my first choice in future. would recommend this hotel.
Hotel in fantastic condition really busy with wedding on the Saturday, 2 night stop great location for Headingley & Leeds City centre. Nice 15 minute walk down the road to Giorgios restaurant & plenty of pubs for a few beers.
Also went to the Summer Bash Rugby at Headingley so the Village Hotel is prime location
Great spar, gym & pool
Definitely return
very quiet, clean and comfortable with a homely feel and character, unlike so many apartments. Probably because it used to be a (Victorian) home. Pleasantly situated within walking distance of the city centre, although a bus service is nearby. Heating and TV easy to operate, again unlike so many apartments. Appliances mostly worked very well.
The property is in the heart of Leeds city centre and would be the most ideal hotel to be in if you’re visiting Leeds. Trinity shopping centre was literally across the road from it, barely a one minute walk. The hotel was very clean and comfortable for my elderly father. The staff were the most lovely people and very very helpful. 10/10
I really enjoyed my stay at Hilton in Leeds. The hotel is in the city centre just walking distance from the beating heart of the city. The mall, all the shops and the main streets are just 2 mins far from the hotel. Besides the position, what I loved was the bed, very comfy, and the swimming pool.
Clean, everything you need. Close to the city centre within easy walking distance to all your needs. Parking at Maud car park was really easy and just literally around the corner from the apartment and always had ample spaces which were nice and wide. Beds were really comfy.
Travelled from Liverpool to see Judas Priest and the hotel wasn’t too far from city centre. When we got to the hotel myself and my friend were greeted at the front desk by 2 caring members of staff.
Could not fault the experience and would return when I’m next in Leeds!
This was my 4th stay at this hotel and it never disappoints! Staff are lovely and so are the rooms, we requested high floor and early check in and got both with no issues. Hotel location is perfect if you’re going out in Leeds City centre. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent central location near the train station and the city centre. No frills hotel with just the minimum to be comfortable. Perfect for someone who looks for an affordable centrally located place to stay in Leeds.
very welcoming staff, hotel easy to navigate. very clean and well organised hotel. nice and central in Leeds city centre, close to train station, first direct arena and for shopping and restaurants
Apartment was a great size and location, was perfect for the City Centre and Theatre and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom very modern with a nice power shower.
