We enjoyed the peaceful location in a picturesque setting.
We enjoyed the peaceful location in a picturesque setting. A short walk to the centre of Honiton with a nice selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Yellow Deli, Mama Mia (Portuguese) and The Holt are good places to eat. Good local bus service to places such as Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth and Axminster at a reasonable cost. Train to Exeter is also a short walk from the Honiton town centre.
Plenty of other places to visit within the surrounding area.

I booked a room with a queen bed and was given a standard double. The traffic noise was horrendous, the traffic even made the bed vibrate. I had to put the radio on at 6am, I couldn't stand the noise any longer. I packed my bag and left as soon as possible. When I arrived I was told the restaurant didn't open on Monday's, it's the chef's night off. It would have been useful if I had been made aware of this beforehand, there isn't really anywhere to eat nearby. The most awful place I have ever stayed, and I do travel a lot for work .I felt it was very expensive looking at the room which was in dire need of refurbishment, absolute rip-off. The owner was very unhelpful when I contacted him afterwards

A lovely stay in a rural location.
A lovely stay in a rural location. Comfortable accommodation for four adults, two young children and a dog. We loved the private apple orchard with great views of the land and took advantage of the barbecue and picnic area one evening. Our children really liked the 'entertainment' room on the third floor where games, books and the TV are located. Also a great location for dog owners - just look out for cows and where you step! 😄 Over all a very nice stay.

We loved spending 2 hours in the pottery painting shop, where the choice included delicate wildflower embossed mugs and other practical pieces to paint.
The town boasted an excellent display of the lace making heritage, along with high quality cafés and clothing shops.
Plenty of parking in high season and good value supermarkets right nearby - large store Co-op and Iceland.
Wide main street extending approx half a mile, with off shoot parking.

Honiton looked pretty but the pub was closed and the Thai restaurant advertised at our accommodation didn't exist. We had to drive ti get food, bot good after a five hour journey followed by a funeral . I think we were unlucky. The area itself was stunning.

Typical small Devon town, we visited the area for a wedding...
Typical small Devon town, we visited the area for a wedding so place was a convenient walk to the venue, didn't eat out so cant comment on the take away or pub situation. Place we stayed was brilliant, private, relaxing with a hot tub and hosts were very helpful and friendly. Communication before from the hosts was excellent also.
We loved that the rooms were isolated, so we didn’t have to disrupt the hosts when coming in late. We really enjoy the fact that the breakfast was continental and all the food and beverages were in the room already (a mini fridge with food and drinks, a toaster, a bowl full of tasty pastries, etc) this allowed us to wake up at anytime and had food at anytime.
We really enjoyed it and if we ever go back to Honiton this will be definitely a place we would stay again.
We had a great holiday. I loved the cottage, especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony reading my book. We had a wonderful holiday visiting great places near to the area - Seaton, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Haynes Motor Museum and the wonderful donkey sanctuary (a must for all the family) The pub over the road is wonderful and so is the Hare and Hounds near Honiton especially for a yummy carvery and massive puddings!! Just loved it all.
Amazing location. We fell in love at first glance.
The staff members are amazing. We were not feeling as in a hotel, rather at our friends’ house.
The place we stayed was exceptional. We never experienced staying in a mobile home before. Glad that we had this chance. The bed was comfortable and the room was elegantly designed and neat.
We spent two nights at the Greyhound while exploring east Devon. We received a warm welcome and were made to feel at home immediately. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. The food and beer were both good. The staff were all exceptionally polite and helpful and had obviously been very well trained. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Almost everything, there was nothing missing that we could have needed,
Lot's of little touches that made it feel home from home
Location perfect for nearby Honiton and trips further afield, Exeter, Lyme Regis etc
Views exceptional, very quiet location, slept well
Harry and his wife were very welcoming and helpful
The whole experience of our 3 day stay at the Home Farm hotel was excellent. Richard was a really good host, rushed off his feet, but always a smile and sense of humour. He wife when seen from kitchen was lovely and her food the best Thai meals I have ever had.
Nothing to fault and everything to praise.
The food was lovely and the staff were happy to cater for my dietary needs. The manager and staff were very friendly, attentive and great fun. My room was spacious, comfortable and with a more than adequate sized bathroom. We were very pleasantly surprised and happy with our 2 night stay there.
Great location for walking into and exploring Honiton - The rooms are sat above the Railway Inn, so perfect for a drink and Dinner. The Food quality was fantastic, as was the service. Having an open Kitchen allows you to see and hear the activities in the Kitech as your food is prepared.
Spacious accommodation with much thought given to making guests feel comfortable and relaxed. Excellent breakfast choices which, as there was no dining area, were served in our room. Delightful host, Cara, made our stay, albeit for just one night, extremely enjoyable.
Staff were very attentive, food was very good & rooms very clean, modern & well appointed.
Thatched country hotel is wonderful & spacious with garden bar & lots if outside seating. This would make a great venue for family & friends
celebration meals etc.
Such a lovely, welcoming place to stay. It has recently been done up and the rooms are beautiful and there are hot tubs too! The food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Devon.
Spacious self contained accommodation with everything we needed. Characterful property beautifully adapted for modern living.
Welcoming and friendly hosts with great knowledge of the local area which enhanced our stay.
Fabulous breakfast ,wonderful staff, superb beer. The owners very attentive to detail, this hotel/restaurant/public house is a real gem .When we return to this area of Devon will definitely like to return.
Very cute, great location to walk into Honiton.
Beautifully decorated, with everything you need.
It felt very homely and cosy, plenty of room for two
couples as there is two bathrooms.
