We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. The stay was great start to finish, very clean hotel and great breakfast. Staff was great, we requested for some water in middle of the night around 3am and a member of staff brought us full jug of water up to our room within 1 minute, highly recommend. Good spa facilities included room booking.

We stayed at Vale View Barn for 2 nights as we were going into Grantham for the Pork Pie Making Experience. We spent the day in Grantham, had lunch at Wetherspoons and walked along the river and around the park before going to the Pie Making Experience. A very pleasant day. Vale View Barn is excellent, beautifully furnished with everything you need and the owners are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately first thing in the morning the swimming pool was full of unsupervised shouting splashing children.
Not my idea of a spa retreat I'm afraid...
Pre booked or reserved children free times would have helped...

Our visit was mainly visiting family in Corby Glenn, so our experience of Grantham was just to visit to find a restaurant (one evening). Delighted to find a good Turkish restaurant; found parking nearby, so our (limited) trip to Grantham was great!

The location was very nice.
The location was very nice.
Tables were cleared but not cleaned.
No cocktail menu. No dry martini. Limited larger choice one after a short while.
Gin and tonic served in a cracked glass.
Not what you would expect from the details given of the hotel.
Evening menu not great waited nearly a hour for our meals.
However a lovely breakfast.
Disappointed with what should have been a special treat.
Location was good, only 10 mins from Grantham Hospital.
It's a pet friendly hotel which was ideal as we ended up having to bring our two small dogs - also plentry of space to walk them.
Easy access to our room on the 1st floor as there was a disabled lift and a wheelchair available - my partner can't walk far so this was ideal.
Room was clean, tidy and nice and quiet so had a decent night's sleep.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that.
Safe, off road parking, around back of hotel. Great bar, cheap pints and huge screen. All staff, owners/managers and cleaners were very friendly and informative. I felt I could buy a take-away and eat it with a pint in the bar if I wanted to. Bar got busy on evenings with others staying in the hotel. Hotel appeared to be fully booked (NO VACANCY sign in window), but it was still quiet.
Friendly reception, and clear guidance on keys. Hotel has an excellent location near to the town centre, all amenities, and the statues of Isaac Newton and Margaret Thatcher.
The hotel rooms were clean and serviced daily. Good in-room tea/coffee making facilities, quiet at night.
The Avenue is very good value for money. It is a straightforward hotel that is well run.
We knew this hotel was just re opening so only rooms facilities which is all we needed as visiting family. We had our wedding reception here 30 years ago & been to many events over the years when it was the 'Swallow' really hope it can be restored to its former glory ! Staff on reception were friendly & helpful. Close to A1 & fast food outlets if needed .
Full English Breakfast I cannot falt most enjoyable especially the sausages, plenty of choice with the cereal, more choice needed with the fruit basket just banana
Location of the guest house just minutes away from town centre no need to take the car, if ever I came back to Grantham this would be my first choice of where to stay
Sat Nav took us to Housing Estate...called the hotel but no response. common sense got us to hotel where there was someone on reception so unsure why the didn’t answer.
Hotel dated but comfortable. Nothing open for food etc. Kettle was nasty.... so I despite wanting a cup of tea I didn’t have one.
Convenient stay in the heart of Grantham. Room was quiet and situated in the courtyard on the ground floor. Perfect for anyone with a disability. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on food. Parking was in a dedicated gated car park at the rear of the hotel (get code from reception each day).
I thought the elderly gentleman and his family that ran the hotel together with his family was very generous and helpful in making my stay as comfortable as possible, I loved the history of the places and it was a pity I was only there for one week
This is a wonderful place to stay. An idyllic rural hideaway - confirmed by it being the locals' 'local'! Everyone made you feel that they wanted you to be there - and nothing was too much trouble. A true 'English pub' that you hope to visit.
Excellent location, close to Grantham railway station, yet not affected by railway noise. Only 10 minute walk to town centre. Good facilities in the kitchen and lounge was a decent size. TV had direct Apple AirPlay, which is great.
Very well equipped, clean and tidy appartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay
Close to town centre but quiet aswell
Good communication with host
Cannot fault the place, well worth a visit
My room had every comfort all wrapped up in beautiful decor. So clean, so relaxing.
Breakfasts were delicious and Nick and Yoanna are the best hosts.
Do not miss this gem in Grantham.
Nice hotel located close to central Grantham. I was given an early check in and Amy was very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at the Red House if you are visiting Grantham.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Shower is very nice with good pressure. Location of hotel very central and safe and secure. Breakfast was very nice albeit a little expensive.
Great location. Good access to places around Grantham and the coast that is less than an hour away. Beautiful estate. Shower great. Staff very helpful and cordial. Well worth a stay.
The location of the hotel was poor i think .
I was really disappointed with the hotel considering how much I paid . was hoping for a little luxury and didn't get it .....
Nice accommodation in a listed building in the centre of Grantham. Rooms were fine, with comfy beds. Nice bathroom.
The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
