Cheltenham is a lovley town. I am bias as I grew up here. Of course I did not appreciated it as a child but going back is always a pleasure. The prom, Montpelier, Pitville park to stroll and feed the ducks (also an amazing playground for children now) Great shops, restaurants and ambiance. Alway check out what’s in at the Everyman theatre & or Town hall.

Lots to do in and around Cheltenham.
Lots to do in and around Cheltenham. We visited Bourton on the Water and would have liked to have seen more in that area. Seems lots to do in Cheltenham in the evenings and some nice boutique type shops. Definitely visit again for a little longer.

My partner and I really enjoyed Cheltenham, we went out to the town hall for a great Motown night, then we had drinks in a local bar that was full of very friendly people of all ages groups. Our accommodation for the night was great in every way, the staff was very welcoming and it's a perfect location for easy access to the town center. We will definitely return in the future and we would fully recommend it.

Some areas of central Cheltenham are lovely and others, much less so. The more genteel areas have a wide range of places to eat that will suit all tastes. There are some lovely parks.
Street parking with a permit is a bit of a lottery. You may be lucky to find a spot in your zone but this could be some distance from your accommodation.

Cheltenham is a Regency town with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars and a good base to explore the Cotswolds , one of England's most beautiful areas .
The town is also a conference and events centre , with literary and jazz festivals and horse racing being the most popular events
For those of you with an appreciation of architecture , it is a treasure trove of Regency and Gothic styles .

Its a lovely town, We were lucky to see a show at the Everyman Theatre, which is a beautiful provincial theatre - Cheltenham is lucky to have it but it was full up on the Tuesday night we visited. We were saddened to see so many empty shops and especially that the huge Cavendish House store is closing, which will have a depressing effect on the town centre. There were lots of very nice looking restaurants and bars. We would love to visit again and spend more time looking around.
Very friendly staff, comfy rooms and delish breakfast in bed. Batheoom is good quality and looks recently installed.Bar is very nice for a pint or cup of tea. Definitely stay there again if back in Cheltenham. Plenty of hot water. Nice and quiet in my room slept very well. There's a BP garage with an M and S supermarket in it about 5 minutes walk away which is very handy.
PS there is a big car park or loads of spaces on the road next to hotel which is very handy. Hotels near town centre dont usually have parking.👍
First time at the Malmaison Cheltenham and it exceeded our expectations. Lovely hotel, nice big room with a balcony, bathroom very modern. From the moment we arrived, the receptionists and breakfast team looked after us extremely well, always smiling and positive. Breakfast was delicious. Added bonus of onsite parking and unlike many places, only charged £5 for one night parking, despite being only 3 minute walk to the nearest shops. Really enjoyed our stay, the Malmaison team made it perfect.
Location was very good, could only be bettered Holiday inn Express in Madrid, Spain, (I because of my work I have stayed in hotels in 28 countries in the world apart from UK ones from airport to Metro and when you arrive stop where the hotel is, go up by escalator when you come out from metro you see hotel no more than 30 meter away if I remember but town centre a little more than Cheltenham Spa.
Friendly staff. Lauren on Reception was very helpful. Huge bed. Quiet room. Nice breakfast. There is a bus stop outside the hotel with a regular services which can take you to either Cheltenham or Gloucester. (I would have liked to know this in the hotel blurb before I booked as it was really useful). There is also a swimming pool but I didn't have time to check out those facilities.
We loved this hotel. So clean, warm, spacious, great customer service on check in. So comfy. Dog friendly (extra £15). Not far from Cheltenham town centre. I wanted to stay another night.
Plenty car parking spaces.
Room service available but we ate evening meal and breakfast in the bar with the dog.
Great food.
Beautiful building in a great location for Cheltenham town centre. We appreciated the welcoming drink (G&T) and snacks on arrival. Very comfortable room. Excellent choice of breakfast options; we had the ‘Full Bradley’ and the ‘Bradley Special’ and both were delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel.
A MUST hotel!
Everything was just incredible,
Lovely and welcoming staff, our room was incredible and well equipped, the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious!
Great location close to all towns and the building was miraculously beautiful and well preserved.
Thank you Kevin and all the team!
Staff were great and very welcoming. Room was spacious, modern and clean. Shower was really good and two sinks ! Breakfast was good and well priced. Hotel location was within easy reach of the town centre. Would definitely stay here again. ..and finally, got to love the "pantry" in reception!!
Everything! Comfort. Easy walking to any venue in Cheltenham. On site parking. Great coffee making and breakfast items. Lovely sitting room. I visit friends in Cheltenham regularly and like my own space. I will always use Portland Apartments in the future rather than a hotel.
Jenny and Steve were super attentive, very welcoming, and the apartment was beautifully set up. Lots of welcome bits to get us started. A great place to stay, right in the centre of Cheltenham - everything is extremely walkable from here, and we would definitely stay again.
Very good for Cheltenham Spa railway station and the Stagecoach buses are excellent for the centre of town. No view and the WiFi wasn't working on my first night. However, very comfortable with a microwave and TV ( no Netflix etc ). Good for a few days in Cheltenham.
As always, the Queens Hotel was lovely. A piece of old fashioned charm which has not been spoilt over the years. Our breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely. Thank you to all at the Queens for another lovely stay.
The Clarence Court hotel is an old building, full of character.
The location is great - only a ten minute walk into the centre of Cheltenham.
The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help.
Room well-appointed, stylish and very comfortable with excellent en suite. Easy walk into Cheltenham centre and Montpellier district. Cooked breakfast was first class. Would definitely stay here again.
Probably the cheapest private room in Cheltenham, possibly even in Britain.
Location a bit remote from the town centre, but very convenient for the station.
Bed perfectly comfortable.
Located close to the centre of Cheltenham, the hotel is a beautiful heritage hotel. I found staff to be helpful and efficient. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Good location near Cheltenham town centre. Plenty of room. Clean and modern. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower.Breakfast was basic but adequate and as expected.
