Gorgeous property with wonderful staff throughout. Our room was in one of the converted cottages, beautifully done and we even had an Easter egg left as a gift as it was over Easter weekend. Everywhere was spotless and well presented, food and drink exceptional, perfect place for a romantic getaway.
This traditional, ivy-clad country free house close to Bath has beautiful boutique rooms and is just 3.2 km from picturesque Castle Combe.

Staff were polite and were very helpful, the food was delicious and good value for money all round.
The hotel and the surrounding area are well worth the trip.
The hotel and the surrounding area are well worth the trip. We stayed in one of the cottages which was renovated to and excellent standard maintaining original features. The gardens are interesting. I declined to be shown to the cottage but would recommend being taken to the one given as the allocated one was not obvious.

The Hotel is not in Castle Combe itself.
The Hotel is not in Castle Combe itself. It is a short drive away from Castle Combe up a very narrow one track road. The hotel is wonderful and we had a great dinner meal there. Not so fussed about breakfast. We did not want a cooked breakfast and the breakfast bar itself could have been improved.

One of my favourite locations in all of the UK, I have not been back in 29 years and the village has lost no charm at all.
Hot chocolate and cake from a friendly gentleman in the village was perfect on the wet day that we visited.

I loved Castle Combe.
I loved Castle Combe. It’s a really picturesque town great for photos. If you’re there for longer than a couple of hours then the walking tracks surrounding the town are exceptional, especially during autumn. So many amazing walking trails and leafy pathways and wild blackberries all along the tracks. I spent ages just walking around. It’s even nice to just sit under a tree in front of the Manor with a book.
If you plan on taking public transport then make sure you plan getting there and leaving carefully. Public transport didn’t run there on the day I planned to go so I had to take an Uber there, but then getting an Uber out of the town is not an option (unless you’re very lucky). So just don’t take an Uber into the town on a Sunday if you’re also planning on leaving on Sunday or you might find yourself stranded.
There are buses that come but only a couple a day, and some are a bit of a distance from the city centre and you’re likely to lose phone reception if you try and walk to those stops.. so plan ahead wisely. But there should be a bus that comes right to the city centre- just don’t miss it!
P.S If you go for a walk outside of the main town make sure to find the Hollow! The little fairy house hidden in a log, inside it you’ll find a book where you can sign your name :)

Beautiful village.
Beautiful village.
I loved every minute of my stay however, 1 day is more than enough to explore the whole village.
The bridge, church and Manor house is a must see.
Foot at Castle inn was amazing.
Parking is available but public car park is some distance away.
I cannot fault this beautiful village.
The stay at the White Hart was great. The room was decent and the food excellent.
The pub is nearly two miles from Castle Coombe but we knew that before booking. The village itself is absolutely breathtaking.
There was a downside though in that when we arrived there was no hot water so we couldn't shower. The hotel promptly organised a plumber and it was fine the next day. I'm sure this was just an isolated thing though.
Definitely would recommend it and have actually done so to friends.
Firstly, Adam, Rosie, and Miles were the most welcoming and accommodating people I have ever met with regard to hosting. Service was friendly and fast, with good humour and great conversation.
Dinner was outstanding. Breakfast was outstanding. The room was one of the most comfortable I have had the pleasure of staying in. Location gets a 10 out of 10 too.
We had planned to go into Castle Combe, but didn't bother in the end - we had the perfect setting at the White Hart
The cottage is a perfect place to stay whilst visiting Castle Combe and is only a short walk away from the village. Close to the pubs and cafes, and a good place to start walks around Castle Combe. The cottage has been designed very well to make the best use of space and the shower is very spacious. Also very helpful having a parking space.
Very convenient location; just a couple of minutes on foot from the main village. The property was superb. The host was in excellent communication and offered very helpful info & advice prior to our arrival. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and I'd totally recommend staying at The Old Museum!
Absolutely loved this property! Stunning rooms, so comfortable, excellently presented. Six of us enjoyed our stay and spent a lot of time in the hot tub! Kitchen and dinning is well stocked. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay right in the centre in Castle Combe. Treat yourself!
A quintessentially English cottage in a beautiful village. Very well equipped and comfortable with a well stocked Kitchen. The vaulted cathedral ceiling in the Master Bedroom with a four poster bed completed our wonderful relaxing vacation in the Cotswolds.
Really cozy vibe. The patio has a fire pit and the owner allowed us to use it. It’s really a perfect place if you are looking for somewhere to relax and to have a break from the bustling city life. The place is also close to Castle Combe
Excellent location; spacious, lovely room with the fireplace, huge bed, large bathroom, very quiet, great service, a number of very cosy sitting rooms around the hotel, good food and drinks. Beautiful building and lovely gardens.
It is only a couple miles away from Castlecombe which is one of the cutest village in England. Their dining room was fabulous and we had two dinners and two breakfast there and were very pleased.
A perfect property with great food and great accommodations. Very clean and safe and in an awesome location for Castle Combe and other great towns. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
I have stayed many times over the past 30 years at the White Hart when I used to live in the UK, and I love it’s location and it’s beautiful garden. The food is excellent, as always.
Bathroom was really well done. The king bed was very comfortable. The ambiance v was lovely. The Castle Inn restaurant offered a nice selection for dinner.
