I went to Bognor specifically to meet up with relatives but still feel it is a good location for a day visit/short stay or full holiday.
My stay was only 2 days but The Aldwick bed and breakfast accommodation was superb and I enjoyed dinner at the nearby Navigator Hotel one night too.
There is also the option for day visits to Butlins resort with its abundance of facilities for families. In addition there are very many varied attractions close by.
It seems easy to get around Bognor, with its buses and promenade train but I do not know if the latter runs all year!

We were in the village of Felpham just to the east of Bognor. As such we did not go into Bognor other than to shop on the outskirts. It has a Butlins but we were surprised at the low noise level. We did drive along the prom and it looked good.

My trip to Bognor was golf-related.
My trip to Bognor was golf-related. Unfortunately, the weather was overcast, showery and windy so not showing the town or the seafront at its best. There is a nice long walk along the promenade and a few fun things to do around the pier area like crazy golf. Hotham Park is definitely worth a visit and the cafe there is really nice and serves excellent food. The town was clean with lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants. We had an excellent meal at The Mezze - and would recommend it. However, like all seaside towns it need warm sunny weather to show it at its best.

Nice short break.
Nice short break. Some people might say Bognor Regis is old fashioned or dead or boring, but its fine for a short break and thats part of its charm. Make sure to visit the excellent free museum if into that sort of thing.

Didn't find a lot to do there, the beach was huge, a walk along the promenade took us past what I think was the Butlin's location and a walk into the town at that point of the evening revealed a few eateries but basically a closed town centre. Not a lot to do as far as I could tell, but as were only there for an overnight pit-stop, we didn't miss much. Ate at the 359 restaurant which seemed to be busier with Just Eats rather than people eating out, but the Balkan food was lovely, the staff polite and attentive. Would like to visit there again. Fair to say we had a cloudy and blustery evening to contend with so wasn't a joyous walk along the promenade I had planned but we've seen Bognor Regis, sadly I see little reason to return to it.
As weather was grey and wet, I called to see if our room might be available earlier and told it was so that was great. Reception, bar, dining room and housekeeping staff all friendly. Old characterful hotel. Our room was warm and beds were comfortable and there was a powerful shower. Breakfast was freshly prepared and used local ingredients - sausages from local butcher and eggs from battery rescue hens, it set us up well for the day ahead and there was plenty of choice. Bar area had a friendly vibe with locals and residents.
Staff friendly and location good for sea view but parking problematic as single line line by promenade plus another hotel adjacent. Shopping street behind hotel has a bus every 30 minutues to central Bognor but not apparent in hotel's information. Food copious but stodgy and no cereal or juice listed for breakfast. Hotel intimate because of open plan bar and restuarant but therefore not a residents' relaxing area unless you want to drink. Trade relies heavily on locals and workmen.
The location was excellent, a very nice area on the outskirts of Bognor, in a rural lane overlooking fields, but at the same time in easy reach of the main A259 and to the town and shops. We were made welcome on arrival, and given a basket of groceries which was very handy. The property was very clean and tidy, in fact it almost looked brand new and unused!
What an amazing place! Photos don’t do it justice! Lovely area on a private road next to the beach.. stunning!
He generously let us access the property a couple of hours early without charge! Beautiful on the inside and outside! Would deffo stay again!
We wanted a chilled night, post butlins weekender and it deffo did the job!
The location of the hotel was top-notch - absolutely next to the beach and in the quieter part of the town too. However, supermarkets and restaurants were just a 5-minute walk away.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room had all the facilities needed for a short weekend stay.
Very good location, and parking permit provided for your stay. Good cleanliness, comfy beds. Fan provided, plus iron/board, Small hanging area for clothes. Nice tea/coffee making facilities, plus a fridge with breakfast ingredients and a breakfast basket.
Food was excelent with various offers for breakfast.
THe room was larger than expected with a table and chairs outside for relaxation.
The hotel was in a perfect location for a relaxing time.
The young staff did the hotel proud
The location was excellent as I travel into Bognor Regis by train and this hotel was very close to the station. I enjoyed staying in the room as there was a lot of light coming into the room and the bed was very comfortable.
The accommodation was great lovely lounge area and nice big room. The owners were fantastic and friendly and luckily allowed me to check in earlier. It was only a short walk to the seafront.
The location was perfect as it was close to the university in Bognor Regis. The facilities were clean and comfortable, the bed was really nice and the view from the window was gorgeous.
Very welcoming host
Friendly towards the children
Amazing outdoor space like a little heaven
I also loved the decoration
Nice food
Location is great as 50m from the seafront
Stayed here for a long weekend with my partner. Lovely and quiet area. Close to the beach and great restaurants.
Owners were lovely and accommodating from the moment we arrived.
A little gem of a hotel. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the location just perfect. Couldn't have hoped for a nicer stay.
Excellent location in a very quiet village and in easy reach of Bognor Regis. Very nice host, room very clean and very nice breakfast. Would highly recommend.
This is a little gem of a hotel. Very comfortable, quite. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. With onsite parking and a small shop close by.
Located within good walking distance to a bus stop, making it easy to reach the station and visit local attractions / areas. The beds were comfortable.
