A lovely, busy town with the perfect mix of independent shops in the town centre and bigger stores on the outskirts. The two market places are wonderful and there is an amazing selection of pubs and restaurants.
There are many interesting old buildings with the wonderful Minster at the heart of them.
The green spaces of the Westwood are just a few minutes walk from the town centre, as is the racecourse.
The coast is easily reached by car, and there is a good train service to Hull and Scarborough.

Beverely is a lovely market town with a beautiful Minster right in the centre. It has lots of good pubs and restaurants especially Piccolino’s Italian a bit difficult to find as it sits in a car park but it is right in the town centre

The Minster was lovely.
The Minster was lovely. Visited this 23.09.23, there was people selling second hand goods/ clothes. Alot of people who live in Beverley was dressed up in 1940s attire, so lovely to see. Not sure how often this is. Central 42 does a lovely breakfast. There is also a whetherspoons the Cross Keys, quite nice, but there are plenty of nice pubs, restaurants, cafes.

I have visited Beverley a few times now, and this will be more regular over next few years as my parents have transitioned here - you will never be bored in Beverley. I believe there are 36 pubs in Beverley - I went to three, all very different in character and history. The Minster and St Mary’s church are gorgeous and often have exhibitions on, there is always something on in the town. I didn’t have time to do the walking tour of Beverley but saw several groups who all seemed to be enjoying learning the history. There is the Beverley Beck, worth the 5km, or so, walk around - a hidden gem. I will stay longer next time!

we've been to beverly lots of times but this was our first stay. beverly is a lovely town and the minster is beautiful and amazingly still free to enter unlike most cathedrals and minsters these days. there are osme lovely old buildings and pubs and plenty of nice shops if thats your thing. it's flat too which is good if you have walking problems. there are lots of nice restaurants and cafes and a good selection of vegi ones too because both being vegi sometimes we struggle to find somewhere nice .also if you ask for a parking permit from the owners of your cottage there are numerous places to park for free. we also ordered a delicious vegi set meal for2 for £20:95 which was so big we had it the next day aswell from the ladygate tandoori. it said 45min delivery but only took 15.you could order and pay for it on-line too. all in all a lovely place to stay. we highly recommend beverly.

Lovely town, and would have been even lovelier had it not...
Lovely town, and would have been even lovelier had it not been for the relentless rain. Minster well worth visiting - I was there for a singing weekend, although it was disappointing to be singing in the chancel rather than in the full majesty of the Minster. For those who enjoy shopping, there is a very good range of independent and chain shops, including Lakeland, Oliver Bonas, JoJo Maman BeBe, and numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. A number of self-guided town walks will showcase the medieval past of the town. These are all pretty short and easy to follow. For those who like exercise, the Westwood, on the northern side of the town, is a large green space with the golf course and racecourse quite close, and a parkrun through a field of cows on Saturday mornings. So something for everyone.
Everything! Every room was exceptionally nice, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The owner had thought of everything——complimentary toiletries and towels, milk, water and orange juice in the fridge, well stocked kitchen etc. beautiful shower room, very comfy furniture and spacious bedrooms. She obviously has very high standards! The property has its own private parking space too and is only a few minutes walk from Beverley town centre.
We chose the location for its proximity to Beverley and also the coast. Hotel is set in its own grounds with ample parking. Traditional and family run property which comes through in great and friendly service. Enjoyed having a post dinner drink in the lounge next to the fire and also excellent breakfast served by the helpful and attentive Irene (providing lots of local knowledge and insight). Traditional bedrooms with excellent shower.
The house was spotless, all furniture and beds were good quality and very comfortable. The Host kept in touch up to the date of our arrival, check in could not have been easier. There were some nice things left in the fridge for us, these were greatly appreciated. The location was just a five minute walk from the center of town, with our own off street parking, which in Beverley is a real bonus.
We booked this room for my parents in law 50th anniversary. They live in the area and they always admired the hotel.
From what they told me the room was amazing, they loved the bathroom, the room had a view of St Mary's Church.
The breakfast was delicious, they had all they wanted including some really delicious croissants and full English breakfast.
All in all they loved it! Thank you!
Easy to find. Location close to centre of Beverley. As one night was one of the hottest on record, the hosts had put a fan in the room to try and keep the room cool. They had also opened the windows and closed the curtains - very thoughtful.
Room clean and tidy, perhaps on the small side, but very good for the price.
Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
We all enjoyed our stay.
Excellent, very good standard of apartment that had been recently modernised. The cooking facilities were great. Very comfortable. Convenient for town centre, marketplace, shops and restaurants. Parking was free: this is a plus in Beverley. It was also very quiet. I stayed there in November and can report that the heating worked well.
Room was spacious as was the bathroom and both exceptionally clean. Very friendly reception on arrival and being shown to the room made you feel particularly welcome. Hotel's in a good location for wandering round Beverley and having it's own car park is a bonus. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
After checking the other reviews we were concerned that this hotel would not be what we wanted but we were pleasantly surprised. The location was excellent, the communication was great, free parking too and if you just want a basic room with a comfy bed, tea n coffee facilities this hotel is ideal.
The cottage was beautiful! Very clean, everything worked with no issues. Welcome book had lots of information about activities in the area.
Short walk from Beverley Town centre.
Host replied quickly and was super friendly!
Will definitely be rebooking on my next trip to the area.
Small flat located in an ideal spot a few minutes away from Beverley town centre, it had a parking space which was a bonus, it was basic but was adequate for a nights stay, the bed was lovely and comfortable, we didn’t cook during our stay.
Breakfast not provided. This house is very clean and modern with all self-catering equipment, parking facilities and garden. It is an ideal base for staying in Beverley and exploring the most interesting Town and surrounding countryside.
Great location. Everything you needed.
We have stayed in bed many places in Beverley hotels, cottages, Apartments, Beverley Snug is the best place we have stayed.
Steve and Rachel were so helpful top hosts.
Tiny but quaint ideal for a couple parkings a bit tricky, perfectly placed in the town centre reasonably priced would definitely use again if I come back to Beverley
Best hotel by far in area , excellent service rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean Had afternoon tea which was great ,would definitely recommend
The hotel is fabulously located right in the heart of Beverley. The staff are friendly and approachable. The breakfasts are very good. Rooms are comfortable.
Absolutely spotless facilities in the heart of Beverley. Well located for the town and easy to walk to the races. Luxury accommodation of the highest spec.
